Actually we’re debating for the rights of the unborn child. The woman can make her choice prior to participating in sexual relations, but the unborn child has no one supporting his/her rights, nor any choice in the matter. Others decide if the unborn child will live or be slaughtered. Their bodies torn apart and parts sold like a piece of cattle.3 points -

And you probably think murder is atrocious. If so, you can understand why anti-abortionist find abortion so repugnant, we see it as murder. Whether you’re pro or anti, that explanation should at least show why those anti-abortion or so adamant about it. To the pro-abortionist it’s a matter of “rights”, serious enough in it’s own respect, but murder tops it. I post this not to change your opinion but simply to show why those of us in the anti group feel as strongly as we do.2 points -

Where do the left get the idea that those against abortion don't care about the kids after they're born? That's a bunch of BS. I get it that there are children not wanted, neglected and not loved, but that has nothing to do whether or not someone is for or against abortion. I think that's just a made up excuse to kill a unwanted baby.2 points -

Copied this from someone's post on Facebook. I'm not pro-murdering babies. I'm pro-Becky who found out at her 20-week anatomy scan that the infant she had been so excited to bring into this world had developed without life sustaining organs. I'm pro-Susan who was sexually assaulted on her way home from work, only to come to the horrific realization that her assailant planted his seed in her when she got a positive pregnancy test result a month later. I'm pro-Theresa who hemorrhaged due to a placental abruption, causing her parents, spouse, and children to have to make the impossible decision on whether to save her or her unborn child. I'm pro-little Cathy who had her innocence ripped away from her by someone she should have been able to trust and her 11-year-old body isn't mature enough to bear the consequence of that betrayal. I'm pro-Melissa who's working two jobs just to make ends meet and has to choose between bringing another child into poverty or feeding the children she already has because her spouse walked out on her. I'm pro-Brittany who realizes that she is in no way financially, emotionally, or physically able to raise a child. I'm pro-Emily who went through IVF, ending up with SIX viable implanted eggs requiring selective reduction to ensure the safety of her and a SAFE number of fetuses. I'm pro-Jessica who is FINALLY getting the strength to get away from her physically abusive spouse only to find out that she is carrying the monster's child. I'm pro-Vanessa who went into her confirmation appointment after YEARS of trying to conceive only to hear silence where there should be a heartbeat. I'm pro-Lindsay who lost her virginity in her sophomore year with a broken condom and now has to choose whether to be a teenage mom or just a teenager. I'm pro-Courtney who just found out she's already 13 weeks along, but the egg never made it out of her fallopian tube so either she terminates the pregnancy or risks dying from internal bleeding. You can argue and say that I'm pro-choice all you want, but the truth is: I'm pro-life. Their lives. Women's lives. You don't get to pick and choose which scenarios should be accepted. It's not about which stories you don't agree with. It's about fighting for the women in the stories that you do agree with and the CHOICE that was made. Women's rights are meant to protect ALL women, regardless of their situation! Overturning Roe does not stop abortions, it stops SAFE abortions! Abortion is healthcare. Like I stated above, I really don't have a side. I see both. I don't think this law should be broad stroked. Should be fine point. I don't agree with all abortions but I don't agree with anti abortion. It's a tough decision.2 points -

Honestly, that’s a sticking point for some. I get it. But I can tell you that if my wife was raped and became pregnant, she would have the baby and either put it up for adoption or possibly even keep it. She would have my support either way. It’s a fair question though.2 points -
We definitely know who is "full of it". "It be you", and everyone knows it. The pro-life crowd, along with many others, agree that sex education is the domain of the parents, not the school. Only Liberal nutcases think they own your children. The pro-life crowd, along with many, many others, agree that abortion procedures or abortion pills should not be a form of birth control. Once conception has been achieved, abortion should be outlawed. I don't know anyone that is against contraceptives pre-conception, and I don't know of anyone or any group trying to make it hard to get these. The pro-life crowd, along with many, many, many others, agree that Planned Parenthood sites are for abortions and should be shut down. If you believe life begins at conception, why would you want Planned Parenthood sites operational. I must assume this concept is too complex for you to comprehend. The pro-life crowd, along with many, many, many, many others, agree that SNAP (food stamps program) is corrupt and rife with fraudulent and/or ineligible recipients. The program should be overhauled. Only Liberal nutcases believe the worn-out false stereotype that non-Liberals want to eliminate food stamps for those who really need them. Looks like you outed yourself. Well, not really, we already knew. Only Liberal nutcases think fellow Libs should be free to live life with zero accountability for their actions. Everyone else should support and pay for their mistakes. I guess you are one of those fanatics. But of course, we already knew that. Maybe we should apply your philosophy to other situations. Let's say I get drunk, drive my car, get in a wreck, and seriously injure another person. Instead of society having to pay for that persons future medical needs, I can just finish him off. Problem solved. Let's say I get drunk, make a stupid wager and lose, and owe a guy a lot of money. I guess I can just abort him. Problem solved. Let's say I get drunk, meet a girl, and marry her. After sobriety kicks in, I realize that was a mistake. I guess I can just abort her. Problem solved. What other examples can we detail using your philosophy of life in which consequences of life choices can be resolved with termination?2 points

I bring up that point over and over again, and the response is always basically "nuh uh." The truth becomes obvious anytime there's a thread on here about welfare and social handouts. The ironic thing is that I actually agree with them on welfare reform and reducing handouts. Folks just don't like it when you point out the disconnect between fighting tooth and nail to make sure these babies are born, but then fighting tooth and nail to reduce the services and money provided to them as they're forcefully born into poverty and crime-ridden environments.1 point -

I agree that adoption is tough. but the types of adoption you're talking about doesn't really do a whole lot to help with the problem. go through the state and take some kids that are living in poverty, that have been abused, that have been forgotten. The majority of folks trying to adopt are trying to get a newborn, same-race child with no issues and no strings attached. That becomes more a business deal than actually helping with our country's overwhelming unwanted children crisis. I wholeheartedly agree that it should be a lot easier though, and it should be a lot more affordable.1 point -

Interesting observation. There was a documented drop in violent crime in the 1990s. [Hidden Content] Do any of y'all wonder if the drop in violent crime that came roughly 18 years after Roe v Wade had a lot more to do with a generation of unwanted kids who never became criminals because they were aborted? Those women who don't want to give birth won't change gears and become good moms because we force them to go through with their child birth.1 point -

Our church supports a ministry In Alabama of a older couple that raises babies of incarcerated women who have babies in prison an raises and educates them till the mother is released or until the child turns 18. There are organizations and ministries across this country that are Christian based that step in an fill the void for children. To say otherwise is disingenuous.1 point

Don’t lump me in with the “You Guys”. I have a bigger problem with Corporate Welfare and Cronyism. My brother and his wife tried to adopt 3 times due to the fact they could not have children. All 3 times the adoption fell thru because the mother changed her mind at the last minute after having the opportunity to hold the own child in their arms. It’s not as easy as you think to adopt a child not to mention the ungodly red tape you have to go through. The list of parents waiting to adopt is forever long. I say cut the bureaucracy for these parents an get the unwanted kids into these loving homes of parents wanting kids.1 point -

It seems you did not get the Reagan Head Coach\AD hiring memo that's been discussed the last few months on each coaching vacancy. It's very distasteful, no doubt. I can't imagine what I'd do if faced with that situation. God bless anybody who has been there. But if I'm willing to agree that abortion should be allowed in cases of rape or incest, are you willing to agree that abortion on demand is immoral and should be punished by law in any instances other than rape/incest/health of mom? The left uses the "rape/incest/health" argument to justify the democratic party plank that calls for "abortion on demand, regardless of a woman's ability to pay." No offense, but that argument is grasping at specific horrible situations to get a pass for abortion for all. Personally I find abortion to be immoral for me. But it has been the law of the land (at least via Roe vs. Wade) since 1973 and I've accepted that. If the Supreme Court does overturn Roe and allow the States to decide on their own, I'm good with that, too. If you want abortion restricted or allowed, select representatives that will vote based on your wishes. But one side (pro life or pro abortion) is going to take an "L" in every single location. What annoys me is that things are lined up for a big R rout in November based on economics and instead the focus is being switched to abortion instead and other social issues like gay marriage... and the ultra conservatives are too stupid to see that they're doing it to themselves.1 point -

That is a conundrum...although the rape part of the equation shouldn't be factored in. In any situation in which the mother and/or baby is in jeopardy, the decision should be made between the mother and doctor (and possibly the father, her family, the father's family...scenarios will differ). There are too many scenarios to list out in a written law. Morality should rule the decision, but morality is inheritably indefinable. A case-by-case decision is the best we can hope for. I started to bring up the situation in which the mother and/or child's life was in danger, but I hate this topic with a passion and decided to drop it. Interesting. BF and company couldn’t fix the defense after being there over a decade but Joseph’s staff fixes it in 7 practices🤔 Sounds like y’all made the right decision. Make sure you don’t get scheme and personnel confused though. For instance, off the top of my head I can only remember one TD Crosby scored on PNG last year from a scheme mistake the DB made against Womack. All the rest of the TDs(really only talking about first half when starters were in) were a result of Crosby being bigger and faster than PNG. The great coaches like Joseph’s dad figure out how to mitigate those disadvantages. PNG is going to have to wait until the fall to see if the same is true for Jr.1 point -

I'm familiar with history. What line should we have stopped at? When black guys were allowed to marry white women? When we couldn't beat up people for being gay anymore? Our history is littered with conservatives badly treating whole groups of people for personal gain, or due to religious beliefs, so don't give me a bunch of "standing up for what is right" nonsense. Both sides of the aisle have some very undesirable traits and unflattering history. It's always funny when the right claims to have the backbone to "stand up straight" and "do what's right" while actively trying to take politics back to a time when the right treated people very badly. Both sides are a bunch of hypocrites.1 point -

for the most part, I'm very good with it. The left does a ton of insane stuff these days, and I don't like the direction they're going, but that doesn't change how I feel about many topics. There's a lot of stuff that used to be considered liberal that is now considered reasonable by anyone who isn't an ultra-conservative Christian. The woke ultra-left has taken things too far, but i have zero issue with homosexuals getting married, people being treated fairly despite their race/ethnicity, men not being able to tune up their wives without repercussion when they "get out of line", adults being able to decide who they want to be, and women being able to make decisions in regards to their body, which are all things that weren't happening 50 years ago. Look at how bad things had to get on the left before people were willing to swing their votes back to the right. Immediately pushing legislation that'll take us back to the 70s on social issues is not a winning plan.1 point -
