Addition of shot clock on UIL meeting agenda again
Separation Scientist and 2 others reacted to AggiesAreWe for a topic
Amendment approved: The Legislative Council approved an amendment to the reclassification and realignment policy as it relates to the conference placement of UIL member charter schools. The language will allow UIL staff the option to place charter schools as much as one conference above the conference for which their enrollment qualifies In short, UIL now has the option to force charter schools like Faith Family to play at least one classification up from their enrollment size.3 points -

The biggest problem we have in this country presently is not the politicians (they can be voted out in an honest election) it’s the voters that willfully voted for what we have now, either not caring what was fixing to happen or had no clue it was fixing to happen, or simply just couldn’t get past their hurt little feelings. You just can’t do anything about low information voters, sadly.2 points -

The Democratic Party is just a name that’s been hijacked by far left goons. They have nothing good to offer even though they paint a picture that is enticing but only for the indoctrinated. those caravans aren’t coming just because blm, defund police, oil/gas shutdown, open borders, race war, trans crap, lgbtquer crap, CRT, abortion, 2nd amendment, anti Christian. Etc etc The Rs aren’t going to fix it though they May try to band aid it…..and that ll just piss off the leftist goons and they’ll push more of their evil ways at every opportunity(the devil never rest) the dems aren’t trying to fix it they re trying to do away with what our forefathers started. the only fix is people wake up and start studying the Bible and following GODS word, but that won’t happen either because people are weak and undisciplined. They have trouble saying NO to themselves as well as others. there is a rise and a fall to every nation.2 points -

UIL has rejected the proposal of not allowing freshmen to play varsity sports. They also took no action on shot clock proposal so no shot clock in the near future.1 point -
I hope he can convince Lamar to give him a bigger athletic budget to be able to turn the programs around. It’s been operating on a very small budget compared to other schools their size that are competitive. Plus most of the other schools have more things for students to do around town then Lamar has to offer. What does Beaumont and the surrounding area have for the students to do for fun? Go swimming in the Neches River?1 point

The alternate was a great economy with essentially no inflation, $2.45 gas, baby formula fully stocked on shelves, a secure border, food prices reasonable, and respect around the globe. Now America is in a total shamble, with lawlessness and pain every where you look. What part of that don't folks understand?1 point -

LMAO at the same time SMH! I was trying to find some info on stadiums to take a look at the general averages of cost. So I of course started with the DAWG HOUSE being its still relatively new. Take a look at what DTS Enginering claims they built here in Jasper in 2002. I reckon this is true definition of false advertising. Yes or No ? [Hidden Content]1 point

You are pretty much correct. We don’t have to actually see a person drive but….. We can justify an arrest if for example an accident just happened and we can find evidence that he was driving. In police or DA language (cop talk) we call it putting him behind the wheel. It can be from witnesses, physical evidence, still in seatbelt, video, etc. There was video of the guy but does it prove his level of intoxication? A guy at home a day or even an hour later? No. It is near impossible to prove that he wasn’t just tired and had a beer or two and then went home and was worried about the accident and started drinking. Drinking after an accident can not be used as evidence in DWI.1 point -

Powerful!💯🎯 COLUMBINE STUDENT'S FATHER 12 YEARS LATER !! Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful. They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript: "Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers. "The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart. "In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent. I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best. Your laws ignore our deepest needs, Your words are empty air. You've stripped away our heritage, You've outlawed simple prayer. Now gunshots fill our classrooms, And precious children die. You seek for answers everywhere, And ask the question "Why?" You regulate restrictive laws, Through legislative creed. And yet you fail to understand, That God is what we need! "Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts. "As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone! My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!" - Darrell Scott1 point

Prohibiting freshmen athletes from varsity participation would absolutely hurt small schools. That proposal makes no sense and it's not the 1st time I've seen it on the docket. Seems to me like someone got beat out by a freshman in the past that was better than them and they're bitter about it.1 point -
Let’s get real here, he was not merely ousted in an election. He was the subject of a recall so the liberal citizens of San Francisco how to start a petition and get the recall on the ballot. This guy was so bad that they did not want to wait until the next election cycle. This guy was in office for two years and only got to complete half of his term. I suspect that US congressman are probably lucky that they cannot be subject to recall elections. The tide is starting to turn early. Can the Democrats conjure up enough mass shootings, gasoline shortage to blame on somebody else, and try to get back in the game for this coming November? I think there is still time for them to wag the dog. I expect another virus to appear or some kind of military action to rally around the president or some more mass shootings or something to try to get emotions back in the game. It is obvious that performance and incompetence might be about to sink the Democrats for a long time but there is still time for them to find a solution.1 point

Thanks for your opinion and your never ending hijacking of threads, but we are talking about practice, practice. Not the fall games, practice. Not how great Crosby is, practice. So you have any comments on that or will you fill the thread about how PN-G has no chance unless Crosby plays their JV? PS. I acknowledge your football IQ but damn I would like to open a thread once about PN-G that doesn't have your comments about Crosby, FB Marshall etc. We all get it, they are great.1 point
