  1. FYI, I trust what 14.2 posts on this site. I know how knowledgeable he is and he calls it straight. He definitely supports those Cougars but he's not wearing the red colored glasses like some of you think.

  2. Kind of late to the party. First, they have already had a scrimmage. Second, there is already a Silsbee 2022 football thread.

  3. The fact that Cheney was beaten is not shocking. The fact that Hagerman won 2/3s of all votes combined against 4 other candidates is very telling.

  5. Pretty strong accusation you got for your first post. Welcome to the board. Lol so what coaches son you are saying got a lot more targets than other kids? everyone was keying on Fuselier, most of the time double team in coverage, a corner with high safety help, so you are mad at the qb for not throwing into double coverage?

  7. Did you see where Trump can’t find anybody to represent him vs the government? No self-respecting attorney will put their name/reputation on the line for Trump anymore. Best keep a firm hand on the soap, DT.

  8. I've seen it go both ways. When we had a bunch quit, we lost 4 reg season games. 5 total counting the 2nd round loss to Waller. Finishing 7-5 was terrible season. Some people never let me forget about that year. Then once the group of sophomores that replaced those seniors grew up, we did pretty good the next couple years. Another time when the Sr QB... left, we called up a young sophomore that led us to 3 straight championship games. Winning 2. But you already knew that. I think Nederland will be fine after they get some experience. Probably not right away, and I hope not week 1 at WOS. I'm looking forward to it. Aug 26 is right around the corner.

  11. I think we need to wait for more information to come out. Soulja might be right, BU may have had to resort to playing teams from Jerusalem this year? I'll hit up my Hebrew connect and see if he knows anything about this.

He has brought an energy that that program has never seen before. It would take a Bruin to clean up that mess. I don't know about wins and losses but Colbert definitely has United football headed in the right direction.

  16. As I've now stated three times, the republicans of the north that you're celebrating believed in all things that democrats do today. the "racist democrats of the south" had beliefs that all aligned with what are now conservative republicans. If you took the parties of today and went back 150 years, you would be one of the "racist democrats of the south". Heck, I would be, too, for that matter, based on most of my political leanings. This is not an indication that I, or you, believe that slavery was a good thing. I don't believe that, and I don't think you do either. But that said, you do not belong to the group of people that abolished slavery. While in name only Republicans abolished slavery, it was the party and platform of the liberals that accomplished it. Conservatives had nothing to do with it, and in fact fought tooth and nail to keep it. To tout the abolishment of slavery as a major party victory to be thrown in the face of democrats is as delusional as those posters you mentioned earlier. Lauren Boebert 150 years ago would've been outraged that slavery was abolished, without a doubt.

    2022 Silsbee Tigers

Livingston was Silsbee's first scrimmage and Silsbee scored at will..! Silsbee's defense shut there offense straight down in there tracks. 🤗

  19. Looking at the records, none of them were really any good for about the last 20 years before they merged. TJ had one Co-district championship in its' last 19 years of existence. Lincoln won two district champions in it's last 28 years of existence. SFA may have "never been good", but won 4 outright championships and another co-championship in their last 20 years as a school, by far the most successful PA school during that time. All that having been said, the three schools combined for 0 state football championships from 1945-2001 when the schools merged. In it's 20 years of existence, PAM has won 5 co-championships and one outright district championship. That's slightly better than what any of the original three schools were doing, but not anything special. All in all, I'd argue that the merger didn't really slide the scale much one way or the other.

  20. Always funny when I see conservatives talking about Republicans freeing slaves. the republicans of the 1800s and early 1900s were the liberal, big government party, and the democrats were ultra-conservative, Bible-driven, big-business and small government party. Make no mistake about it: every single one of you in here that voted for Trump would've been a democrat at the time that the Republicans ended slavery. I'm not saying that as an accusation that a single one of you are racist, but simply basing it on all other political views.

  21. I think merging Lincoln, TJ, and SFA was a mistake. Right now they would probably have 4a TJ, 3a Lincoln, and 2a SFA. They could’ve competed better at those levels more so then being memorial. Beaumont United is a different situation. It’s more political with the merging of Ozen and Central. Ozen was a beast in basketball, but neither were jaugernauts in football. Personally, I think they should’ve kept Ozen at WB, redone a couple areas and stayed Central and WB.

  26. Lol, it's actually just the opposite. Information about player transfers has been taken off this site(I assume similar sites as well) and tried to be used punitively against transferring players during eligibility hearings. You're way too naive on the subject of THSF to understand any of that though. I don't claim to "know it all", I just happen to know exponentially more than you. However, numerous coaches from the SETXSports coverage area have DM'd me over the years to ask that I post stuff, ask that I remove stuff, tell me they love what I'm posting but can't like it, send me statistical corrections or just ask me a general high school football question. I was once even asked by a coach to write a letter of support to the TEA, which I obliged. I've had multiple parents DM me for recruiting advice and have been sent film to break down. I've even been asked if I would be interested in doing some freelance writing on THSF. Everything I've ever written about Crosby ISD hasn't been positive. I think the "powers that be" at Crosby understand that if I'm posting it then that's probably the majority of the sentiment. I've had at least one son in Crosby's football program since 2013 and can't even count the number of times their coaches have referred to me as "14.2", as do may fans who know me. The only things they've ever told me usually involve expletives of affirmation. For instance, they love reading the stuff I say to you. I'm a real THSF guy SS, you're just a guy who watches THSF football. Never forget that.

  28. Two words no one wants to here , daddy ball, just go to a practice and see for yourself, coach's son had more targets last year than one of the best athletes to ever wear black & gold, think about that , that's a big reason why you have kids leaving....

  31. This is another prime example of you running your mouth via keyboard. There is no doubt you have made a complete spectacle of yourself here in this forum with all your obsessions, rants, braggadocio, and false "information" you spew Mr. 400 pound bench pressing Know-It-All, but now even the powers that be at Crosby wants the village idiot to just shut up. Crosby ISD has to be cringing every time you type. What an embarrassment you must be to them.

  33. So was it tongue-in-cheek when he said that the election was stolen, too? It’s not satire, it’s a slight exaggeration, maybe. Shooting somebody? Of course it’s an analogy. But he can definitely act hateful, lose an election that was practically un-losable, try to overthrow the government, steal an election, mishandle top secret docs, act like a petulant child, pay for 8 abortions, get impeached twice, lose both houses of Congress, destroy the economy, mishandle the pandemic/vaccination response, set trillions of dollars in wasteful PPP spending, explode the national debt, fail to get the keystone pipeline built, forget about repeal and replacing Obamacare, never prosecute Hillary, and generally embarrass the office of the presidency and the red-hatted fools will still wipe a tear from their eye and proclaim “he’s the best President we’ve ever had.” The truth is this. Rudy literally lost his license to practice law based on the things he said and did after the election. Why isn’t he, a former prosecutor, US Attorney, and “America’s Mayor” trying to get his license reinstated? Because at this point he’s just hoping to die a free man, that’s why. Just like that clown Donald Trump. Y’all are dumber than those people who still refer to Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton as “Reverend.”
