Totally different team tonight, they’ll figure it out, they’re making progress5 points

Thing to remember, WOS will make a lot of teams look overhyped. Plus, it’s still just a scrimmage. Time will tell.5 points

Silsbee v Orangefield Controlled scrimmage-Silsbee 1TD, rush 11-86 (7.82 ypr), pass 5-10-73-1-0, penalties 3-25; Orangefield 0TD, rush 16-86 (5.37 ypr), pass 2-3-30-0-0, 1 turnover, penalties 1-5 Live scrimmage - Silsbee 2TD 14points, rush 17-124 TD (7.47 ypr), pass 3-8-42-1-0, 1 turnover, penalties 2-10; Orangefield 1TD 6points, rush 23-127 (5.52 ypr), 0-3-0-0, penalties 3-15 A good physical scrimmage for both teams. Orangefield has some nice size lads on both sides of the ball and some scrappy RBs that don't quit. Both teams had some long runs and both teams showed they could grind it down the field. Silsbee defense had two goal line stands, one ended in a fumble and one in a missed FG. Silsbee's offense was more consistent this scrimmage, blocking and running. Good luck to both teams this season. TigerNation!!!3 points

This was NOT the same team I watched last week. Nederland looked MUCH better than they did last week. I am still concerned about our lack of a running game, but there were a lot of positives in the passing game tonight. Hopefully we keep improving and are ready to rumble by district.3 points

If you hang around long enough....$41t happens. Id be willing to bet the staff in general hasn't been tough enough, until now...when its HOT. and the sweat is running down the crack of there a$$3s. Get in or get gone. This isn't the first time kids have quit, wont be the last....The youngsters that step up will be saltier and seasoned by the opportunity. As far as Daddy Ball...I'm calling BS.....Fuselier was doubled when he stepped off the bus.....If anyone thinks he was left out of the offense to get the ball to his own son, we must have been at different games...3 points

So what party were all the southern governors and politicians that blocked segregation? Many of them backed by the KKK, sorry, the Democratic party up into the 60s and 70s is the same party that pushed back against slavery pre-1860. They are still fans of slavery, it's just better disguised as welfare and public housing.2 points -

IK it is a scrimmage but if Nederland is throwing 4 td passes & accumulating 300yds passing with no threat of a running game, those 6A squads might do more damage to WB secondary. WB offense had 2 solid RB's, 3 good WR's, a big TE & the QB looked sharp. WB O-line pass protected well & had some good run blocking. The 2 picks & fumble inside the redzone were negatives for the WB offense2 points

2nd Half of scrimmage Westbrook 2 rushing TD’s Nederland 2 passing TD’s Nederland defense came up with 2 turnovers. A pick at the 1yd line by CB #24 & a fumble recovery at the Ned. 20 yd line #10 had a better 2nd half at QB, completed several nice passes on a couple of drives for 2 TD passes. A 30 yd TD pass to #6 Caywood & a 5 yd TD pass to #1 Barrow. 2nd half also had kicking game which #16 for Nederland had some nice deep kick offs, punts & made both xtra points Overall both teams look decent, both need some players to step up on both sides of the ball. Westbrook offense will need to score 60 a game to compete with the top 4 teams in their district. Nederland will need quite a few young players to consistently make plays on both side of the ball, play ball control offense & score , lights out defense, mistake free football & get some turnovers each game to get a playoff spot. You keep going back to the same thing. If I went back to everything you've posted on here that I disagreed with or thought was wrong, I'd have to start a new forum. It's always pretty obvious when you have no rebuttal once you start going back to a completely unrelated issue I haven't even mentioned in over a year and a half as the reason that I'm wrong. That being said, you're being intentionally dense if you can't understand the clearly stated, and completely inarguable point that I'm making in this thread. There's nothing to debate on that point. And talk about me spinning things: Joe Biden would've been a democrat in the 1860's? That's hilarious. You ARE an 1860's democrat. All of your political beliefs line up with theirs. It's inarguable. Like I said in another response, for the most part, so am I. We can look back a century and a half later and say that, yes, slavery was a terrible thing. But that doesn't change the fact that the people with the same conservative beliefs and policies that Republicans have today were the ones who benefitted from slavery and fought to keep it from being abolished.1 point

Donald J. Trump © @realDonaldTrump So, let me get this straight! In the Great State of Georgia, if you want to challenge or protest Election results in any way, shape, or form (despite the fact that in Atlanta, murders and crime are the highest in the Nation, with many people dying each month - at numbers never seen before), they will charge you and put you in jail. But if you kill people, you will quickly be set free to murder again. Isn't there something "slightly" wrong with this scenario? A PERFECT PHONE CALL! The WAPO story that' "Trump is scrambling to add seasoned lawyers" to the Mar-a-Lago Raid case is, as usual, FAKE NEWS. I already have excellent and experienced lawyers - am very happy with them. This is highly political prosecutorial misconduct, I have not been charged with anything and, most importantly, I did nothing wrong. Thank you!1 point

Yes. The energy and execution was light years better than last week, but until we find a consistent run game we might struggle. It’ll be hard to throw for 300 and 4 TDs each week.1 point

No problem. I know I missed some action when i went to get hi quality h2o. It was hot out there today. There's a reason we play most game later. Sorry I don't have much of a evaluation on Vidor this year. We've had some changes over here I've been paying more attention to. I think it was pirate's #20, small and fast. Qb has some wheels too. Slot t gonna catch em where they can. Chewing up small yards then poping out for a big hole. I wouldn't worry to much about this one. Next week it's for real though @ Silsbee1 point -
First Session of live game scrimmage Westbrook 2 TD’s Nederland 2 TD’s Westbrook 2 multiple play drives mixing short passes, mid range passes & good runs, one drive ends on a 10 yd TD pass in the back of the endzone off a short QB scramble to his right other TD was a 15 yd run play off left tackle. Nederland CB #13 Isiah Hernandez intercepted a Westbrook pass at the goal line to end one Westbrook drive, play was blown dead. With isiahs speed might have been a pick 6 Nedeland offense did not do much their 1st 3 possessions with the #10 Ft.Bend Christian transfer at QB. Missed some open WR’s & no running game threat Ayden Sunday #18 came in at QB the next couple of series & threw a 50 yd TD pass to #24 on a go route down Westbrooks sideline Thr next series #18 Sunday threw a 20 yd pass to TE- #6 Caywood across the middle who took it 40yds for the 60 yd scoring play score Nederland offense competing better with #18 making plays at QB About to start 2nd portion of scrimmage West Brook has around 60 players suited up Nederland has 50 players suited up1 point

Lol, it's actually just the opposite. Information about player transfers has been taken off this site(I assume similar sites as well) and tried to be used punitively against transferring players during eligibility hearings. You're way too naive on the subject of THSF to understand any of that though. I don't claim to "know it all", I just happen to know exponentially more than you. However, numerous coaches from the SETXSports coverage area have DM'd me over the years to ask that I post stuff, ask that I remove stuff, tell me they love what I'm posting but can't like it, send me statistical corrections or just ask me a general high school football question. I was once even asked by a coach to write a letter of support to the TEA, which I obliged. I've had multiple parents DM me for recruiting advice and have been sent film to break down. I've even been asked if I would be interested in doing some freelance writing on THSF. Everything I've ever written about Crosby ISD hasn't been positive. I think the "powers that be" at Crosby understand that if I'm posting it then that's probably the majority of the sentiment. I've had at least one son in Crosby's football program since 2013 and can't even count the number of times their coaches have referred to me as "14.2", as do may fans who know me. The only things they've ever told me usually involve expletives of affirmation. For instance, they love reading the stuff I say to you. I'm a real THSF guy SS, you're just a guy who watches THSF football. Never forget that.1 point -

I listened to most of the UIL meeting online. This if what I got from the meeting and action. 1. Alto was represented and under oath admitted the violation whether intentional or accident. It happened. 2. The UIL did not ban nor take a vote ban Alto. The ban is an automatic rules violation and UIL rules are that a school is not eligible for post season or honors if placed in a lower division by falsifying the numbers (again, intentional or otherwise). 3. Alto suggested simply changing to the correct 2A Div 1 where they were supposed to be. THAT is what seems like the main discussion focused on after the investigation phase. Okay, they messed up but do you punish the students? What is the relief? 4. The UIL committee voted unanimously that there simply was no time. If I understood what was being said in the meeting, the UIL committee had no authority to change the realignment. Alto could technically change districts however scrimmages start this coming Friday (realistically with no effect on the district) but the regular season in a couple of weeks. There is no time for two districts to throw out there schedules and start over. The false numbers were reported this month so the UIL was up against a severe time constraint. Basically it was, sorry Alto but this was turned in to late to correct. 5. Alto is not banned from post season next year but by the same rule, Alto is not allowed to compete in the lower division. You can’t have a 2A Div 1 school potentially winning the 2A Div 2 district they are currently in or even state championship. Can we imagine… The new 2A Div 2 state champion is, 2A Div 1 Alto!!! 🤣 6. Alto will be allowed to compete in 2A Div 1 next year however…… Alto has to find any district in their region that will accept them. If they do, then each member school from the district committees in BOTH districts must unanimously accept releasing Alto from their current district and being accepted into the new district. So any school from either district has essentially veto power and again, this was not a vote but a UIL rule. We know locally those district committees have life and death authority over rules violations locally. Was it Nederland a few years ago who had to forfeit a district game because of an ineligible transfer player and it took them out of the playoffs? If I remember correctly, paperwork for the transfer was submitted and like Alto, intentional or not, the district committee gets to make the call. They voted for the forfeiture. To make it short, the UIL did not vote to ban Alto, UIL rules did that automatically. You can’t play and qualify in a lower division due to the mistake. Alto has the option of correcting it next year but they have to find a district to accept them and then both districts will have to unanimously accept the change.1 point
