LCM has done a good job of "recruiting" WB & WOS players...

Ok....my take. (1) If you take the abhorrent holding calls from the Huffman game (8-1 against by the way...) Silsbee playing pretty clean ball compared to some earlier games in the past. 2) Defense is not only wrapping up they are devastating interior lines right now. This defense is quickly approaching the level of the state-semifinal teams a few years ago. Super aggressive. It will take some better teams offensively for a clearer picture of true level of play. Except for the 7 points scored by Vidor off the interception the starting defense as a whole was not on the field. Pretty consistent. 3) They don't run the ball well. They run the ball exceptionally well. 9 different backs handling the ball in both games. Scary, considering the blocking will only get better as the new online gets gelled. 4) I will agree somewhat on the passing game consistency. However, Miller only playing two quarters a game right now sonwho knows....the short passing needs improvement. My take. #TigerNation Jmo

I have watched nearly every practice scrimmage and game this season trying to get an understanding of our new coaching staff and type of play. The only thing I can gather from all I have seen is this is a different team than the last years and they will be a very strong team by seasons end. So I will not predict a win against WOS and believe that they deserve the respect due to them. I will be there with the rest of you all attending hoping for a safe injury free game because after the Stangs we face FBM. So hats off to you WOS team and fans. You were the program of the last decade hands down and earned everything you obtained. Looking forward to the game and I am even excited to play over there. Best of luck we will see you at the game.

Why would a defense that gave up 81 total yards be “lacking” in confidence? On the contrary. PNG D better not be overconfident in practice this week. WOS is a different beast. I will say that was the best pursuit and tackling I have seen from PNG in years.

We all know what's wrong with nederland. A lot of talented kids quit football because they're a bunch of spoiled daddy ballers and didn't like the coaches and think they're gonna be top MLB prospects. And they campaigned to get OTHER football players to quit. Talk about the coaches all you want, but it's THE KIDS who have to play football.

Both are stagnant. Both of them need fresh coaching, fresh vision, fresh ideas. Both are losing the heart of the kids. Change is needed in both.

Aggies tuning in LHN. What could be better? Ewers came out a bit shaky but settled down and led the Longhorns to a 52-10 victory while covering a 37.5 point spread. Ewers ended up 16/24 for 255yds., 2 TDs and 1 INT. Not bad at all for a freshman QB. Aggies kill me. So tough on my Horns while winning nothing.

Tigers in a close game. Tiger QB trying to aim the ball on short throws, told he is perfect in practice, He will watch film and correct hopefully. This is a game that will be a learning experience for when playing in November.

I know...I know... This is one thing that Mike and Tim did exceptionally well, kept in game stats. I try to bring a really great play by play calling to those who listen. Unfortunately my stat game isn't up to par while doing that. Our team is coming together but it may take a game or two to get it back down after changing staff this year. Indians by 14! Both the coaches and and players had major nerve issues vs Memorial and were never able to shake it. We saw what PNG now has to offer this last Friday vs. BU. I have watched them practice and Friday was more indicative of what I have watched them do at these practices. Currently PNG's strength is spread the field and let the QB sling it! Mix in some power run game that continues to develop and they will start to play keep away (ball control). That is what killed us with the previous Teams and Staff. The defense will continue to develop and gain confidence and that will be trouble for opponents as the season goes. I firmly believe the Indians have a chance to contend for a DC as i think FB and Texas City are not what they have been in the past and are beatable. The new coach made a noticeable adjustment from week 1 and it showed. In the past thats what was missing, no changes were made we just continued to do the same thing and expected different results each week...We know the definition that is LOL. The one main thing that is a threat to PNG is an injury bug.... PNG has 1 or 2 key players that if they lose them they go from DC contender to 4th or 5th place.

Even if you're right, college presidents from the "lesser" conferences weren't now and would never have voted for only the top 12. For those in favor of an expanded playoff, this was about the only outcome you could truly REALISTICALLY hope to have had occur. Based on some of these post, appears to be a few Vidor haters in this area. Rather amazing. I don’t hate any other school/program. May envy them somewhat - their winning traditions, but it is what it is. Last night we saw a spark of encouragement. Spotted SF 21 points and were within 7 of tying the game prior to another fumble. Maybe, just maybe, the Pirates will start turning things around. Nothing like a win or two to change the mindset, and as I posted a day ago, imo the problem they have now is mental, not physical. Lmbo, as the guy said in Platoon, “Free your mind, your butt will follow”.

I have watched LCM huffman and Lumberton. Vidor will be okay. I think the #2 spot will be vidor.

My take on silsbee. They get penalized way to much. Defense not wrapping and not playing consistent. Offense wise they run the ball well. But the passing game is inconsistent. Im hoping the coaches can clean it up.

No, I didn’t explain. The announcer at the game had his mic on between plays. Could hear him chatting, nothing bad. I do a lot of online meetings and I get (unreasonably) anxious when someone leaves a mic on at a break. It’s just a weird thing I have. announcers at the game were great, I was just whining.
