PAM is a good team will probably go about 3 rounds in playoffs, but their not very good on defense except for the 7 picks Nederland RB did a great job, but 2 of the runs went for about 120 still played a good game Texas City is better than Nederland as of today could be a good game if the Dogs improve. The school board could change the team name to the welders or pipefitters tonight and the kids will still show up tomorrow night and play, and not mean any harm at all to welders or pipefitters.

I have attended high school sporting events for many decades. One thing I have learned, regardless of sport, the bleachers are full of coaches. (game officials too)

PNG will have to control the line of scrimmage and run the ball efficiently. If we have to rely on passing it could be a long night.

Amazing how many ‘armchair’ coaches know more than those in charge that are with their athletes more than their parents a great percentage of the time. On Thursday or Friday night games, they’re easy to spot. Kind of like a bunch of seagulls. All squawk and full of, well, I’ll leave it at that.

If you're a PN-G Indian, Lance Billeaud cares about you. If PN-G has its doors open, Lance is there. He works many hours behind the scenes to secure sponsors for the PN-G radio broadcasts. He's the fire chief in Groves. He loves Groves and its neighboring cities, Port Arthur, Port Neches, and Nederland. If Lance Billeaud is your friend, you have the best friend there is. I like Dave Hofferth on play-by-play. Who wouldn't want Dave Hofferth calling your team's game? Not everyone is Dave Hofferth. I'm just glad that PN-G has a radio broadcast and three people willing to donate their time to call the game. I know...going off script drives some people crazy. I get it, but Lance is our guy and I appreciate what he, Francis, and Rachel do for the PN-G kids. Francis is slowly converting to purple and white...he's still has some ground to cover to completely forget his Nederland loyalties. I appreciate that he cares enough about PN-G kids to donate his time and call the game. Just my 0.02 cents.

No one said he was going to be run out of town, but stating the obvious, the hire will be questioned more than it already has been if these types of beatdowns continue. It doesn't get any easier once district begins.

Two games into the season & many of us have given up on Ned & Vidor. Nederland, just on tradition alone, will surprise some with their season record. Vidor, just based on last year & an undefeated JV from last year, will almost assuredly start playing better. As a fan, I’m concerned about the starts, but I’ve got to believe these two will end up respectable at season end. For all the Pirate & Bulldog fans, I hope I’m right. Go Black & Gold!

i think the dogs will be fighting for a playoff spot. i been saying this since the PAM game. Nederland is basically running a JV squad in the varsity role. to have a team made up of majority sophomores that was asked to step up cause others quit speaks volumes. everyone on this site knows my dislike for MC county teams, but when you go into half time tied with with a ranked team in their stadium, u get points and love from me on that. with that many pics thrown score should have been MUCH worse so that tells me those kids played with heart. they held PAM to two offensive TD's the second half!! scored more points than PNG and held PAM under 50. what bullpup people and others need to see is some schools can't simply reload EVERY year. hell next year PAM qb situation hopefully will continue because of a freshman qb right now.
