PAM is a good team will probably go about 3 rounds in playoffs, but their not very good on defense except for the 7 picks Nederland RB did a great job, but 2 of the runs went for about 120 still played a good game Texas City is better than Nederland as of today could be a good game if the Dogs improve. The school board could change the team name to the welders or pipefitters tonight and the kids will still show up tomorrow night and play, and not mean any harm at all to welders or pipefitters.

Not a big fan of the British Royal Family, but she’s the exception. Plunged into the position of Queen at 25 when her father died. She was 27 when coronated. As a youth, during WW-II, she walked the walk, assisting the war effort anyway she could. Essentially rolling up her sleeves and working side by side with her future subjects. Class? I have attended high school sporting events for many decades. One thing I have learned, regardless of sport, the bleachers are full of coaches. (game officials too)

I see this being a close one with both coaches entering their sophomore year at their new schools. 🤥

I guess i wasn't clear. Most of the kids that are starting have been there the past 4 years. They might have one that is starting now. Its not like LCM is out there recruiting them

Lancaster had their chances in the first half and at the start of the third quarter but squandered them. It was all downhill for them after that. They got a garbage time TD to make the score more respectable. Could really see Guyer winning state this year.

man I thought Vidor was a legit contender for the district and in the region....this has to be one of the bigger disappointments to start the season in all of 4A

If Coldspring can take care of the football, control the clock and force a turnover they have a shot. I believe this will be a really competitive game and is a good schedule by Coach Stanley preparing the Trojans for a tough district.

I sure will man! If we can stop their big backs .. I like our chances , kirbyville isn’t passing the football good at the moment.. but they have a huge offensive line and 3 good running backs .. we will have our hands full for sure ! And especially with y’all next week! Y’all are huge on both sides of the ball !! I’ve done watched a few of yalls games. it will be a fun matchup!! The game in the 09-10 season between us was good!

I think there's a good chance Lancaster gets Longview this year. I watched both of LV's games with McKinney Boyd and Marshall and Lancaster looks better on the hoof and also faster. LV's QB still forces it to Hale and I think they're running game with Tatum is containable. They're probably smaller than FB Marshall on the defensive line and while they're dbs are highly rated it seems like there's still a good amount of space for receivers to make plays in the secondary if there's a competent QB that can get it to them. On the flip side though, their collection of talent is so great that it really doesn't matter what they have going on right now.

Amazing how many ‘armchair’ coaches know more than those in charge that are with their athletes more than their parents a great percentage of the time. On Thursday or Friday night games, they’re easy to spot. Kind of like a bunch of seagulls. All squawk and full of, well, I’ll leave it at that.

I was there last week for HF/EC. Underrated team. Sanderson changes the game. Zeno and Bryson at QB each have their specialty. Spencer and Ramirez, good 1/2 Rbs. Defense plays hard.

Cayuga won't break a sweat with Colmesneil. Cayuga will put in the JV squad in the 2 quarter. My prediction is 63-0.

I sure hope the staff reads this and gets their act together. If only more fans with their vast wealth of knowledge could tell coaches what scheme to utilize....all would be right in this world. Quite sure the kids really appreciate the input as well.

No one said he was going to be run out of town, but stating the obvious, the hire will be questioned more than it already has been if these types of beatdowns continue. It doesn't get any easier once district begins.

i think the dogs will be fighting for a playoff spot. i been saying this since the PAM game. Nederland is basically running a JV squad in the varsity role. to have a team made up of majority sophomores that was asked to step up cause others quit speaks volumes. everyone on this site knows my dislike for MC county teams, but when you go into half time tied with with a ranked team in their stadium, u get points and love from me on that. with that many pics thrown score should have been MUCH worse so that tells me those kids played with heart. they held PAM to two offensive TD's the second half!! scored more points than PNG and held PAM under 50. what bullpup people and others need to see is some schools can't simply reload EVERY year. hell next year PAM qb situation hopefully will continue because of a freshman qb right now.

To the Children of Newton and Jasper don’t let these grownups put hatred and immaturity into y’all’s hearts. It’s about Football and about pride but mostly for the love of the game. Over the years I’ve watched our towns grow and watch how you kids have became cool and support each other even practice with each other to make each other better. That’s what it’s all about at the end of the day neither team will ever compete against each other in a game that matters other than pride. Nederland is starting out with playing 3 ranked teams in the top 10 in the state in their respected divisions, as well as top 3 in @AshlyKBMT top 5 in the area… I’m going to go ahead and say it Nederland has had the hardest non district schedule in SETX. Find me one that’s been harder. We are getting battle tested, like what @KF89 just pointed out some great players that made plays, sophomores are getting better and I believe this past Friday night they found even more playmakers they didn’t know they had.. will not be surprised if district rolls around and we shock everyone and finish at the top… Barrow and company will get the dogs ready come district.
