It has already been seen. Jasper has played the tougher schedule which was your talking point. Doesn't mean Jasper will beat HF. But they probably would have the same record as HF if they would have played the Horns schedule.

I say this nicely as well: I would argue that speculation on a player and coach’s future where nothing but good things are being said about them is a far cry from the threads criticizing players and coaches that many don’t seem to think should be locked. But as far as I know there’s not a rule talking about a player’s future.

Coach Faircloth has lead SS to a 4-1 record beating Liberty-Eylau 24-6. Liberty-Eulau was ranked 15th in 4a d2. Coach Faircloth took over a SS team that was 0-10 last season. Before tonight's game SS was ranked #21 in 4a d1. His only loss this season coming at the hands of Hallsville a 5a d2 ranked #20 school. That loss was 34-21. SS hadn't won back to back games since 2018. I believe they had only won 4 games since 2018. This is a great example of the difference a great coach can make.

I can see the coaches argument if he gets flagged for holding....... HOLDING???? HOW...... the young man has the right outlook on life. he does not look at it as a handicap but just the hand life has dealt him.... more people need to be like him and so much inside their feelings.

I think it’s unfair to a 15 (or even 14) year old to have this much unfounded speculation voiced. Do think his teammates like the idea of him bailing on them to play for Katy or something being floated is good? Rumors start and then run wild. I hate them, and it has nothing at all to do with any coach bashing. It’s a disservice to all, especially a very young man who is not asking for it.

I’m referring to the years Crosby was in the District with Nederland, Vidor, LCM, and Port Neches. Two of those 4 are now in 4A. (correction made) Yep, y’all were the Big Dog then. There were a couple of other Big Dogs but y’all pummeled them too. Not taking anything away, Crosby was good, and like everyone else, played the cards giving, just worked out in their favor. Now, not so much.

Lol…. Read my post, I didn’t say parents need to support there kids I said fans need to support their kids. This is about the kids an no one else. All of these kids are playing amateur high school sports. It’s nothing more than that. Its not the kids fault if people in leadership positions didn’t properly do their do diligence to put the MOST QUALIFIED people In coaching positions.

Hopefully the program is heading in the right direction. Jasper has some really good coaches. With a couple years under Crumedy, I think Jasper will start making long playoff runs. Also, 67 middle school players is impressive. I remember my 8th grade year in Newton which was only 14 years ago; we had (10) players and had to bring up (2) seventh graders just to make a team. However, we did go undefeated. 😂

I agree completely about student athletes NOT being called out. They’re kids. I’ll abide by the rule about coaches, but it’s dumb. If a man wants to take on the role of coaching with all of its financial rewards, prestige, power, etc… and expects to bask in the glory and praise after wins, he/she should have to face the criticism when it comes. There’s a big difference between criticizing a kid who threw a pick versus criticizing a highly paid professional who made a questionable play call, or is even having problems after deciding to install a new philosophy despite the old one being pretty doggone effective. Should people stick “for sale” signs in his yard? Absolutely not. But should that man be spared from any form of criticism, too? I don’t think so.

Its fairly simple "Coaching" These District has no program builders!! and the ones they have don't stay long. Its never been talent. If you think schools like Westlake, Liberty Hill, Midland Lee, Katy etc have more talent your crazy, but what they do have that makes them look better is dedication and buy in, and honestly I can't even be mad at the kids for not having that here, when the coaching is a revolving door in BISD???? Then not only does BISD want to hire their homeboys when its way better qualified candidates who know how to build up programs, to the point coaches don't even want to apply in the city anymore but they lowball coaches with sub-par salaries so who would want to come here??? Im just tell this story and let y'all figure it out. In 2008-2011 my nephew attended Central when coach Stowers was the coach. His parents was taking him and his siblings for summer vacation but instead of going he wanted to stay with me to attend summer workouts mind you he was a sophomore, not even on varsity. When I would go drop him off most of the team was at workouts or on the field, so much so they had to divide the kids into different workout groups which the older kids said hadn't been done since they arrived. Then 7on7 was mandatory so when they went 4 rounds in 09 I wasn't really surprised. those kids were brought in and believed in Stowers. Im not sure the kids are there right now thus the results we've seen this this past years. This is also how schools like Katy work. My nephew ended up getting a scholarship, so during the summer he would come live with me in Houston to train with Kerry Bennett (Orange Tx native) at a gym he had in Katy. He would tell me after him and other college players from various schools would finish their workout sessions the whole varsity Katy football team would meet up there at 5 for workouts every other day during the summer on top of the team workouts they had already did earlier that morning. for their 2nd workout of the day before 7 on 7 practice. All Player Led!!! The coaches had nothing to do with it, and when a player didn't show up his teammates would deal with him... Thats It that's the difference. When players are brought in, the parents are Brought in and it can change everything and that starts from the top Coaching!!

I would like to see dedicated feeder schools for each HS. Then the head coaches at said HS can put their systems at the lower levels. From what I understand, there were some shenanigans concerning old SPMS and now it's Peatzch-McArthur which those kids were lost to United for a bit. If and when BISD gets this settled, then you will see a more consistent product on the field NS could loss 1000 kids to GP High and still run the region.
