You make a great point. Lumberton lost to one of thr top teams in the state. Not just a top private school but highly ranked out of all Texas Schools. Was looking to be a good game until almost an hour lightning delay, sloppy field and 4 turnover (3 in the RedZone) not excuses just facts. Lumberton is much more talented than most people think. The offense is clearly one of the best in the Region. If the defense buckles down. It's gonna be interesting.

Solid Dayton team. No quit in the Broncos. Down 14 in the 4Q and they roar back for a 1 point lead...and then PN-G's #19 did his thing. Anytime #19 steps on the field, he is the best player on the field. He needs more touches. I don't care how you get him the ball, throw it, hand it off, snap it to him, whatever, but get him the ball. Great things, not good things, but great things happen when he has the football in his hands. Solid game by two good high school teams.

Ratings are an excellent conversation piece. Nothing more - nothing less. Does Ltown deserve #7 ranking? I’d say as much as anyone else. They’re sitting at 6-1, their only loss to a 7-0 team. No doubt there are teams not ranked, or ranked below Ltown who might beat them - AND - there are teams ranked above them Ltown would probably beat. Bottom line, I’m glad to see local teams getting recognition. Most SETX Teams get overlooked in these polls except WOS & Newton. Enjoy the ranking Raiders. Keep rolling.

There were too many "what-ifs" to count in this game, for both teams. A missed field goal, dropped passes, dropped interceptions, missed scoring opportunities inside the 20, questionable ball spots, untimely flags. It was a good tough hardnosed ballgame.

BISD loses 111-7 last night. IMO, no fan of either team should be barking.

I am not going to make a prediction (until my pickems) but I would like it if WO-S won 26-21 to make things very interesting.

Lumberton wins the district easily, only question is who they will have in the playoffs. Vidor is still in good shape by beating LCM, the battle for 2nd place is all that remains.

I haven't watched a great game like this in a while. Dayton went away from Vernon after his first touchdown. I understand he go both ways but you have to give him the ball against a team like PNG. They also had a lot of dropped balls from the sure hands. Congrats PNG on the win.

Been watching southeast Texas football for a LONG time… I’ve never seen a better Lumberton team… they have the whole package over there. Congrats and good luck the rest of the way! If Dayton plays defense and doesn’t make any big mistakes, they can be the one to take out FBM. Their offense is better than ours, and FBm isn’t the juggernaut on offense they used to be. So if Dayton can keep it close they can do it

Not understanding why Dayton didn’t give Vernon touches in the first half it could have been a different game. But with that being said good win PNG and good luck the rest of the season
