Not at all. WOS helps us make noise in the playoffs every year. Though we've never won the big one we will always chase it. It's a shame to me that anyone from the Cove would bow down to adversity, even if it feels self-inflicted or forced upon them. Embrace the chance to rebuild whatever has been lost. That's what a legacy team should and would do. Be WOS and everything else will fall in place when the time is right, or dont... I dont want to see WOS football go away but humbling times can be a stronger foundation. #TigerNation5 points

25-6. The record of the teams who beat you. Hard to be empathetic towards your program when you show such arrogance and disrespect towards those teams. With the exception of HF everyone of those teams has beat you on multiple occasions. In some instances your season was ended due to a loss to one of them. Most folks looking from the outside have seen a downward turn coming. Your enrollment has been dropping. Everyone of those teams who’ve beaten you have had some lean times, some upheaval with coaching changes. You’ve been lucky due to the longevity of your staffs. That’s over welcome to what everyone else has had to endure at some point. Time to suck it up, support your kids, support your coaches, and support your program.3 points

WOS School Board Meeting

Except not giving up on your team or your team mates. Except for pride and respect. Except for… never mind, that stuff doesn’t interest people who are ready to tar and feather the coach, who are complacent with below average education and would only ever go to a school board meeting because of football.3 points -

Well from where I sit and the video footage says otherwise. I don't agree with about 85% of what you type but I agree with this. I saw #22 the next day and told him he should've went down. The kid admitted that that's what he should've done. Hindsight is everything.2 points -
What kills Beaumont football is the off-season. Kids arent training for football.. they aren’t running track nor are they with personal trainers. kids out here in Houston are grinding in the off-season as a team and individually. wb didn’t have spring ball nor did they do 7on7. Those are two important factors as well. They received their offensive coach late. They’ve had coaching changes. while their district opponents minus BU have been grinding consistently without those factors to my knowledge. mourn kids are beat before the season comes into to play from the off-season. And that’s where successful programs win at! Kids have to want it and coaches have to motivate to participate. (Not saying that’s not happening, just a statement)2 points

It’s very discerning to see everyone downing the “education” at WOS. There have been and are still excellent teachers on the staff and kids wanting to go further in life get a great education. The problem is that WOS has a larger majority of kids who may be challenged in one way or another and the lack of discipline in the classroom than other schools in the area. The curriculum is there. The ability and desire to learn may be a challenge to some, but it is maddening for some to act like the kids at WOS aren’t being taught. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. (Especially in today’s society where everyone is offended by something).2 points

You aren't taking into account the fact that the other teams return kids and possibly even improve. Every year. You can look at the comparable results with both Silsbee and HF and tell that they are pretty stinkin good. I personally watched Jasper play and know that they're also loaded with talented, athletic kids. Those are not bad losses for WOS.. I don't care how many returners they have. Calm down. The level of drama coming out of WOS over a few losses to some good teams makes me think that there isn't enough mental fortitude in the community to win any tough playoff games anyway. Cry me a river. The school has more state titles than most SeTx schools will ever have and are still competitive in what is an obvious down year. Give the guy some time before putting a for sale sign in the yard.2 points -

I know the Hawks are way down this year and it's hard for me as a Bulldog to get up for this one, especially after the big win on Friday night. I know Coach Crumedy will get the kids ready to play and fine tune some stuff for the Tigers next week and beyond. Jasper 42, HJ 7.1 point -

You're not wrong.... but they COULD opt up and face the same level of competition that the rest of the bigger schools face. I'm not going to pretend that a 4AD2 title means the same thing as a 6A championship. I've always said that there's no upside for a big school to play Newton. It's like picking a fight at a gay bar. If you win you can't brag about it, but you'd better not lose.1 point -

Just checked out the like opponents for both teams and it’s close. BH outscored them 192-88 PAM outscored them 209-95 BH to me has the momentum coming into the game with the big win against KWP while PAM has some doubts coming in. However PAM is home and wants redemption then throw in weather and no telling the outcome. I’m taking BH (shocker) by 141 point -

I personally am about as opposite from a liberal from California can be. However... I agree with some of the things that you're responding to here. It's a fact that Newton was decades removed from a state title until UIl split districts into divisions. That's just a fact. Newton was bowing out to Cameron Yoe about every year until then. The same thing is true about WOS. They couldn't get out of the region until the split. Carthage was stopping them.. or Navasota. Back to Newton. Don't pretend there's any competition for them until fairly deep into the playoffs. That said.. nobody at Newton can help what UIL does and they should definitely be commended for any success. The same is true with anyone.1 point -
That's very hard to know. You have about 7-8 players who are nursing injuries so at any time you might lose one during practice, or on a training table. If the team that was playing versus Sterling is an indication then Crosby would be at 85% if the QB 1 plays. This year Crosby has played games without the following at various times WR #1, WR #2, WR #3 RB #1, LB #1 DL #1 Safety #1 Cornerback #1 It's not just injuries we were losing the core of our defense and offense at various times. Hopefully we've had enough weeks to get ready. We looked the healthiest I have seen versus Sterling and were still missing QB #1. Simultaneously we were the most unhealthy versus PAM a couple weeks before so... who knows.1 point

While whatever student or whoever did this shold be prosecuted in the fullest, Lumberton and more importantly all of the athletes who WOULDN'T do something like this don't deserve to be punished for someone elses actions. You start doing that then maybe you should start prosecuting a common criminals family for what he/she does. Does that make sense?1 point -

Unless the Titans do something to stop the edge rush from disrupting every play, they are in trouble. I was in the press box last night at Stallworth, and if PAM would have run some RB slip screens in the middle of the field, or some 8-12 yard crossing/slants etc..over the middle of the field where Lee was vacating 70% of the time, this game wouldnt have even been close. The middle of the field was wide open all night. Even with the 5 turnovers, smart playcalling would have won that game. IMO1 point

Memorial can for sure pull it off. If you’re a competitor and you lose a game like tonight…knowing you should’ve won. It leaves a bitter taste and you’re gonna be ready for the next one. No doubt….the players will be ready. The question is..will that staff be??1 point
