  1. So what’s changed since the first meeting? I’ve no idea of injuries or potential changes since then. Only thing I see is PNG’s schedule. Being a Pirate fan I haven’t kept up, but looking at that schedule I get the impression the Indian team taking the field Friday is a much improved team over the one in September. And Friday take a page from the Pirate playbook - keep away. Long, eat up the clock drives. FBM can’t score if PNG has the ball. I’ll find me a purple shirt to put on. Don’t know the words to Cherokee but I’ve heard it. Cheered for them in the Astrodome. Will be cheering for them in my recliner Friday. One last thing from this Pirate. Scalp’em Indians, Scalp’em! Take that you kneelers at the alter of wokeism.

  2. Sedition by definition is words or conduct inciting peoplem against the government. Any public protest against any law could be considered sedition but protests are protected speech. Laws at times however have their own definitions of words or phrases which may be contrary to the common dictionary definitions. A quick example is the word “premises” means buildings and land but in certain Texas laws it only means inside of a building. You could be on the grassy area at a school but not be on their premises. By definition? Yes. By law? No. So what is sedition (Seditious Conspiracy) under the US Code (basically the federal government penal code)? It can be as little as 2 people (required for conspiracy) hindering or delaying a government function or seizing property by force that they have no right to…. such as trying to take over federal properties. So now we know that out of hundreds of thousands of people protesting, at least 2 tried to take over a building or hinder a vote. That’s your big deal? It is rarely used but under Texas law, if you participate in a riot then you can be charged with the highest crime committed at the riot. So thousands of people could gather for what started as a peaceful protest but turned violent. The law says that if you retired from the protest which is now violent, you are okay. If you stayed and took part in the riot, you for example could be charged with arson even though you didn’t participate in an arson. So because an assembly of people is there to protest and a majority is there to do it peacefully, it can turn into a crime to simply be there. In fact just being there can result in 6 months in jail. Tidbit: I believe the phrase “being read the riot act”, meaning to really tell someone off or chastise them for acting like idiots, comes from riot laws. Basically a government official (usually law enforcement) will actually read the law and announce that the assembly is now unlawful and to disperse. Does that mean the crowd gathered to take part in felonies? In other words, if hundreds of thousands of people gather but a handful in the crowd (remember that federal sedition law requires only 2) commit a crime, does that mean the crowd was part of some willing act to commit crimes? Does that mean the people protesting were doing so illegally.

  3. If you are going to ask Smithville, I imagine they would say getting beat by Cuero 61-16 is just as bad as getting beat 34-0 to Silsbee.

For me: when our turnovers started it completely snowballed on us, also Longview is pretty damn good 😂 they capitalized on almost every mistake we made albeit turnovers, penalties or mental miscues. 🤷🏾‍♂️

We're certainly beatable. Just like @aledoalumni told me he knows what it takes to beat Aledo, Longview fans know the same. Not like we're going to put it out there. Just going to enjoy the ride for however long we have left.

  12. Dude.. LMAO. What an absolute train wreck. The Trump worshippers here have been 24/7 harping on Biden and democrats for being “dip 💩 “, and they’re not wrong.. but if Trump is stupid enough to lose to sleepy joe, then what does it make him? He (trump) had 4 years of home field advantage to drain the swamp.. instead, he grifted and scammed campaign donations from the poor, uneducated rural blokes who watch Fox News all day and are literally too dumb to realize they’re being duped

  16. I think we all know that this is about the time of year when Southeast Texas high school football fans of all stripes start to consolidate into the fanbases of the Southeast Texas teams still in the playoffs. This year, there are three teams from the 409 still competing: Newton, Silsbee and PN-G. This week, Silsbee and PN-G will both play at Houston-area venues. Silsbee will play Cuero at 1 PM on Friday in NRG Stadium. PN-G will kick off against Fort Bend Marshall at 7 PM that night at the stadium in Galena Park. These are opportunities for Southeast Texas to show its legendary fan support. Tickets to the PN-G game have already gone on sale, and GPISD has opened up both sides of the field to PN-G fans and their friends in anticipation of a sell-out crowd. Tickets to the Silsbee game will go up on Ticketmaster shortly, if they haven't already. Let's show up and show the rest of the state out. See y'all at the game(s).

  20. North Shore (13-0) vs. Atascocita (11-2) Region III-6A Division I 7 p.m., Friday, Randall Reed Stadium-Jon Poorman, Staff writer The highly-anticipated rematch has arrived. North Shore and Atascocita have been on a collision course since their regular-season meeting in District 21-6A action. The Mustangs won that game, 16-13, despite turning the ball over four times. North Shore is 6-2 against the Eagles since 2016, including five straight victories. The Mustangs earned a 44-20 triumph over Atascocita in the regional championship last season. North Shore has been stout on defense all season, and the unit surrendered an average of 153.6 yards per contest in the playoffs against Dobie, Dickinson and Cinco Ranch. The offense, meanwhile, is putting up 465 yards per outing. Rashaad Johnson had a huge game last week during a 49-21 victory over Cinco Ranch, rushing for 214 yards and two touchdowns. He has 18 rushing touchdowns for the season. Atascocita’s defense is holding opponents just under 200 yards per game during the playoffs. The offense is humming along, just like it has all season, producing 483.3 yards per outing. Quarterback Zion Brown and running back Tory Blaylock combined for 557 yards of total offense last week against Ridge Point. CALPREPS.COM Projection Neutral Field-[2022] North Shore-31 (58%),[2022] Atascocita-28 (42%) Duncanville (12-0) vs. Westfield (12-1) Region II-6A Division I 3 p.m., Saturday, Birkelbach Field-Jon Poorman, Staff writer Westfield passed a tough test against Waxahachie last Saturday, earning a 10-7 victory as senior quarterback P.J. Hatter connected with Dajohn Palomo for the go-ahead 57-yard touchdown pass with 2:59 remaining. The 10 points scored by Westfield in that game were by far a season-low. The Mustangs averaged 55 points over their previous 12 contests. Westfield is riding a 10-game winning streak since suffering its only loss of the season against North Shore and is back in the regional title game for the first time since 2019. Hatter has been a major part of that success, accounting for 3,374 total yards and 52 touchdowns. Westfield was eliminated from the 2020 playoffs by Duncanville in the most recent meeting between the programs. That was a 56-0 loss for the Mustangs against a Panthers squad that lost to Southlake Carroll in the state semifinals. This year’s Duncanville team is ranked No. 8 in the country by USA Today and has outscored its opponents 558-114. The Panthers have been dominant in the playoffs with a margin of 150-16. That included a 35-3 victory against The Woodlands last week. CALPREPS.COM Projection-Neutral Field-[2022] Duncanville- 41 (88%), [2022] Westfield- 21 (12%) Katy (13-0) vs. C.E. King (9-4) Region III-6A Division II 7 p.m., Friday, NRG Stadium-Jon Poorman, Staff writer Katy has reached the regional championship game for the third consecutive season and is making its eighth appearance over the past decade. The Tigers have been dominant in the playoffs thus far, beating Clements, Memorial and Summer Creek by a combined score of 156-28. Senior running back Seth Davis is just 15 yards from recording his second consecutive 2,000-yard season. He is averaging 10.8 yards per carry and has scored 26 touchdowns. Fellow senior Dallas Glass is also enjoying a standout campaign, rushing for 1,264 yards and 22 scores. The Tigers have rushed for more than 4,500 yards altogether this season. C.E. King also likes to run the ball, and they, too, are quite good at it. Senior running back Keith Willis piled up 198 yards and three touchdowns during a 38-21 victory over Hightower last week. He has rushed for 547 yards and 12 touchdowns in the playoffs alone and has 1,488 yards and 31 scores for the season. C.E. King is playing in the fourth round for the first time in program history. The Panthers are 0-1 against Katy after losing 41-24 against the Tigers in the regional semifinals last season. CALPREPS.COM Projection-Neutral Field-[2022] Katy-38 (86%), [2022] C. E. King-22 (14%) Fort Bend Marshall (12-1) vs. PNG (11-2) Region III-5A Division II7 p.m., Friday, Galena Park ISD Stadium-Jon Poorman, Staff writer Fort Bend Marshall opened a lot of eyes last week with a 55-18 dismantling of a previously undefeated Lake Creek team. Senior quarterback Jordon Davis was outstanding in that contest, completing 20-of-21 passes for 325 yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed for 115 yards and two scores. Davis has accounted for 3,208 yards of total offense and 43 touchdowns this year. The Buffs have won 11 consecutive games since falling to Crosby in overtime in the second week of the season and have outscored their opponents 554-94. That streak includes a 35-14 victory in District 9-5A action against Port Neches-Groves on Sept. 24. Marshall jumped out to a 21-0 lead in that game and never looked back. The Buffs are 4-0 against PNG since 2018 and knocked the Indians out of the playoffs in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Now they have a chance to do that again under the bright lights of Galena Park ISD Stadium. Since its loss to Marshall, PNG has rattled off nine consecutive victories, including a 38-28 triumph against Brenham last week. The Indians are hoping to break through to the state semifinals for the first time since 1999. Columbus (12-1) vs. Franklin (13-0) Region III-3A Division I 7 p.m., Friday, Tomball ISD Stadium-Jon Poorman, Staff writer Columbus was tested in the first round of the playoffs against Lorena before pulling out a 24-21 victory. It’s been smooth sailing for the Cardinals since then, however, with blowout wins against Diboll and Cameron Yoe. Columbus has won five consecutive games since suffering its only loss of the season against Hitchcock. The Cardinals have outscored their opponents 543-156 this season and are playing for a regional championship for the third time since 2019. That was the last time the program broke through to the state semifinals as well. Columbus will certainly be tested this week against a Franklin team averaging nearly 50 points per game. The Lions won the Class 3A Division II state championship last season with a 16-0 record and are riding a 29-game winning streak. Franklin has been dominant in the playoffs, beating Hallettsville, Anahuac and Hitchcock by a combined score of 118-32. The Lions are playing in the regional championship for the third consecutive season and are making their sixth appearance since 2012. 22. I think Gobblers is a cool mascot name. Quirky but fun. I can't help but think of that famous "WKRP" Thanksgiving episode with my favorite line in all sitcom history, "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!" But if you have a turkey for a mascot you've got to have a chip on your shoulder. And Toby the Gobbler certainly has. He's a tough old bird. He's been an All American mascot several times. According to Massy Ratings Tigers is the second most popular high school mascot with 879 schools using it. Practically a dime a dozen. I wonder how many have "The Eye of the Tiger" as their fight song? The various big cat species are far and away the most popular with Tigers and Lions and Panthers abounding. By contrast there are only three high schools in America, according to Massey, that have chosen the noble bird as their mascot and Cuero is the only one in Texas.

Another is planned parenthood (more accurately planned genocide) They embrace the institution of planned parenthood while ignoring the reason it was established by margaret sanger, AND is still very effective in accomplishing it's original intent, sadly.

  42. The way FBM handled Lake Creek was a big surprise to me. And I still don't believe those two teams are 37 points apart. But matchups can be funny things. Huge credit to Marshall for a brilliant win but I just don't think the spread has much bearing on what happens Friday. With high school kids the 4th round in December is usually quite different than what happened back in September. Plus the neutral site will bring the teams closer together. Seems to me the spread should be more like 9. And it might just come down to the one that scores last wins.
