So what’s changed since the first meeting? I’ve no idea of injuries or potential changes since then. Only thing I see is PNG’s schedule. Being a Pirate fan I haven’t kept up, but looking at that schedule I get the impression the Indian team taking the field Friday is a much improved team over the one in September. And Friday take a page from the Pirate playbook - keep away. Long, eat up the clock drives. FBM can’t score if PNG has the ball. I’ll find me a purple shirt to put on. Just looking at 2 impressive wins against El Campo in Week 1 and HF last week tell me all I need to know about Cuero. Both teams are very good with potential to win it all. This game will come down to 2 things, imo. 1. Whoever wins the turnover battle probably wins the game. 2. How aggressively the refs call the game, in particular between the DBs and WRs. I never like to see a game decided by pivotal, controversial calls but this game could easily have that happen. Any of us that have played Silsbee in basketball know that without refs calling a game aggressively, you don't stand a chance against Silsbee. Football is not any different in the secondary. Good luck to both teams.

Senior day for maybe my all time favorite Longhorn. I think he still has a lot of football left in his career but he represents everything that college athletics should be about. Probably not what he envisioned (or what we envisioned) when he arrived at the 40 acres. But his time there won’t soon be forgotten by the Longhorn faithful. Well done Shug.
