  1. Funny it seems that its always a call near or at the end of the game that will be questioned that cost the losing team the game. Fact is that bad calls or missed ones are part of the game. Football is an imperfect game, that's why it's played and why we love it. I can't remember how many Cuero games I have left fuming because I felt of a bad call and then show me video or replay of the play and OMG I wouldn't sleep the rest of the week. This game was no different. You had two great teams so evenly match that the game could have gone either way. The turning point I felt was when Silsbee had Cuero down 20-7 and seem to let off the gas pedal defensively. I also felt Cuero made better half-time adjustments offensively because neither team could stop the other. Those are my thoughts. Silsbee has a great team and from the post's great fans, I have no doubt you will be back and if Cuero is not there, I will be pulling for you. As for now thank you both for one of the most exciting games of the ages.

  2. So, Crosby, BH, and PNG have all now taken out FB Marshall the last 3 years.

  3. This is another winnable game for the Indians. They will match up well with LH. Big, physical lines and they don't make stupid mistakes. This time of year, you can't have the "bone head" errors. FBM had some dumb penalties last night and it cost them in the first half and PNG never let them recover. You can't make those in December because everyone left can beat you. PNG just needs to be PNG to win this one. I think the PNG offense is much more dynamic than LH. That offense churns out some numbers against teams that can't stop it. Discipline play at the LOS is the key. Cornel Thompson was the master at putting the clamps down on that offense. I'd pay him whatever he wanted to come be an assistant for the week! Any way, good luck Indians! I'll be there with my Blue & Silver on if I'm back in TX by then.

  5. You can see the QB (18) knee on the ground and the ball still in his hands. I can see the refs missing a hold, offsides, false starts, even a face mask in a pile of players. This was in the open, clear as day. You've always heard "it's better to be lucky than good". Cuero is dang good, they also got extremely lucky on this play.

  6. Kevin Foster basketball is good for the soul. As for your Tigers, that’s just about as brutal a way to go out as it gets. Silsbee has a right to grieve this one for a while. I know it’s going to sting for a long while. Maybe another basketball ring will help salve the wound.

  12. The refs weren’t the ones giving up TDs on two and three play drives. The refs didn’t give up 34 points in the second half. The refs didn’t repeatedly give up big kick returns, and the refs weren’t letting Cuero’s tight end run wild on the secondary. That blown call sucked, but it was just one of about 10 things that cost Silsbee the game. I think the coaching staff does a good job, but I don’t think they’re championship caliber. Heck, that Miller TD on 4th and 13 to keep them alive was pure athleticism, not scheme. Silsbee went into the locker room ahead 20-7 and less than three minutes later it was 20-20. At that point it just felt like Silsbee was on the ropes and never got off of them.

  15. Kyle Field is about the midway point for both teams. But I guess A&M didn’t allow them to play there because they didn’t want to be shown up by two high school teams that would show them how real football is played.

  16. I don't think FBM was poorly coached. The Buffs made some mistakes, but PN-G had something to do with that. FBM had a good team. Their QB and DL were legit. JaCoby Banks was a fantastic player. #10, #85, and many other kids. The played well for the Buffs. It was the best, most complete game PN-G has played since 1999. PN-G is blessed to have a big and strong OL that has kids who can move their feet well and they put a helmet on you and move you off the line of scrimmage. The Indians have size and strength, and they use it. On defense, the Indians are playing their asses off. Whatever we are paying the DC, it is not enough. I'm the first one to donate $$$ to give that man a raise. He puts our kids in position to make plays and they make them. I could type the numbers of the whole defensive roster. They rotate kids in and out, and all those kids play 100 mph. Whatever they are doing, keep doing it. PN-G also has solid special teams. The kicking game, punt game, coverages, and returns have been outstanding. The kicker hammered home some great FGs last night. Tip of the cap to the Buffs. Their QB was tough as nails. He made good throws under pressure. He's one tough kid...made good reads and throws. That comes from good coaching. The Buffs had speed all over the field, but PN-G stayed in their lanes and got enough kids around the football to make some stops. The Buffs played well, but PN-G played better. Great game by the PN-G QB...big throws, composure, nice game management, and he's a great punter, too. All the PN-G kids believe in each other. Great coaching and belief is a magical thing. Good game FBM. Great HS playoff game. Go Indians. Peace.

  24. You could see this coming almost from August. These two would meet in the quarterfinals and the one that scored last would win. It was a classic. It’s not too much of a stretch I think to assert that any team that Cuervo beats we could and would beat. And any team beats Cuervo could and would beat us. Based on what I saw today we’re that close. It’s almost as if the Cuervo kids celebrated a victory over their identical twin.

  30. The Indians can take them. LH has good execution, but I think PNG can get them off-balanced and win, especially if they play like they did tonight. IMO.

  31. ok, I'll hand it to you. At least you didn't say the refs picked on FBM or something crazy like that. The Buffaloes had a tremendous amount of talent for sure. This was an impressive win and an upset for PNG. Good game for both teams.

  35. The 10 Commandments are part of all Abrahamic beliefs or what is sometimes called The Three Great Religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The video, while probably factually correct, is nonsense. For example, an Italian explorer was hired by a Spanish Queen to sail west and he was a Catholic like virtually every person in Italy. So 500 years ago, 300 years before the US Constitution was written, an Italian hired by Spain prayed on his arrival in the Indies and that is proof of Christianity in the US founding? Two countries that ended up having no part in the founding of the US? The guide points out paintings on the wall depicting events from the 1600s? If nothing else from his explanation you might conclude that the US was founded as a Catholic nation. I wonder how that will be perceived by the protestants. Sorry Baptists, this is a Catholic nation! But wait! A president was a preacher! Of course that was 100 years after the founding of the US but let’s ignore that for now. I guess Jimmy Carter is evidence that the nation and the presidents were founded on peach farming. The Founding Fathers were deeply religious…. and rejected relgion as any kind of requirement for laws or office. Were stealing, lying, murdering, etc., mentioned in the 10 Commandments as well as common law through world history? Absolutely. I will bet you find that other kingdoms in Asia and Africa who did not practice Christianity, had the same common laws

  40. Great game by both teams and after the first few minutes I thought Cuero was going to get blown out. Halftime adjustments to the offense by Cuero was the difference and the TE ate the tigers up. I’ll admit Silsbee was more athletic and faster by a step by my Gobblers never quit and pulled it out. #1 is a baller good luck to him in the future. I’m still in shock 🫣 GO MEAN GREEN!!!

What you "believe" really doesn't matter. This was talked about long ago... If the right predecessor was not selected, it would all come tumbling down and we were right on the mark.
