My contention is that they didn’t. The Democrats have always been the party of racial politics. When it got the point that being anti-black wouldn’t earn the Dems any votes, they tapped into the OTHER races’ anger towards whites. Now being a dem means being anti-white for the most part. The republicans have literally been on the moral side of every argument from slavery to abortion for the last 180 years.

If I am a high school basketball coach in this area, I would not waste my time scheduling any Houston ISD school. They are as unprofessional as they come. Two games were canceled this week, one without any notice. Houston Yates was scheduled to play at Little Cypress-Mauriceville today but called and canceled the game on Monday. Then, without notice, Houston Furr no showed for their game last night at West Orange-Stark. This is not the first time (nor will it be the last) that a Houston ISD school pulled this unprofessional move. In regards to the Yates/LC-M game, LC-M had already played at Yates the last two seasons. All Coach Jeffcoat was wanting was a return game. When I saw the game on the schedule and the date that it was to be played (last day to play before Christmas break) first thing I thought was Yates backing out of the game. When I got the phone call from Coach Jeffcoat Monday, I was not surprised. There was some excuse given but IMO, the reason for Yates canceling was more about not being able to afford losing to a team like LC-M, which they would have. Furr not even showing and not calling WO-S to cancel the game is as unprofessional as it gets. Decisions like this is why HISD is looked down upon by others in the state. This all comes from the top (HISD admins). Schools like LC-M and WO-S simply don't matter to them and could careless about any ramifications. As far as I am concerned, I hope no area school ever schedules a Houston ISD school. Simply not worth the potential aggravation of losing a scheduled game.

So, do you believe that the refs in the first match between PNG/FBM were residents of Fort Bend or FBM alumni? Ended up with "non-alumni" refs in the neutral game? My experience has been that referees are very seldom from the town/community where they are officiating each week. Many of them drive great distances to cover matches. I am unaware of any crews that only officiate games in their hometown.

UIL has made the state championships an event, not just a game. This is the magic of it all. So many people, like myself, make it a tradition to travel up and spend the entire weekend celebrating the greatest sports event there is, TXHSFB. The coaches and fans need to realize, if you make it to state, you are going to be showcased in an arena where a lot of eyes will be on you. If you go back to centralized locations with individual games, all of that pagentry goes away. Do you think Clemson is concerned about having to travel to California to play USC in the national championship game if that is how the schedule falls? No. They probably don't like it, but they're not going to petition to have that game played in Missouri rather than at SoFi.

This was my tenth year attending the entire weekend, and I can say without a doubt, AT&T is the premiere location for these games. There is no argument to be made except for the one about home field advantage. Having said that, NS has won 3 of 4 from Duncanville with the disadvantage everyone is saying they have by going into AT&T for that game. The DFW teams have an advantage, but it has nothing to do with the location. It's more related to facilities, support and easy ability to move around.

Well I agree except 9-4A Jasper Silsbee H-F WOS And I say this cause Jasper has 19 starters back and Silsbee lost their QB. Don’t sleep on H-F there JV dominated every team they played. Not one team scored on them in District what I was told. Trying to confirm this. Jasper had 13 Sophomores and 1 freshman starting and Silsbee won on a botched catch. And helped Miller by double teaming. Jasper JV QB is only player on JV that will be moving up next year that will start. Very good arm but had no help on line. JMO Gonna be exciting year for sure.

It is under grand jury investigation, and the current DOJ has two years minimum to complete its investigation, indict and prosecute. Even Trump got the reds at McCarthy for not replacing Jordan and the other traitor I can’t remember his name. He could have had 4 republicans on there and chose not to. I venture to guess, and would be willing to wager there will be indictments, and ordinary citizens like you and me will sit on a jury, hear the evidence, and convict the ex president of at least one charge.

If that game is played 10 times these two teams split 5/5. whichever teams shoots better wins, which is what it boiled down to in this game. Almost mirror images of each other, with Ragusa being the best player on the court.

Jasper played a game or two last season in all black uniforms. While they looked pretty good, I am not a fan of them at all. I guess I am old timey,, but I like staying with school colors. Jasper’s colors are supposed to be Crimson & White. In recent years we have went more gray and dark red with black mixed in. I am not sure what brand we use.
