I love reading how so many people have expert opinions about what VISD needs to do & what they don’t need to do. How everyone who doesn’t know anything about the athletes in the program. People’s opinions about this Coach & that coach in or outside of the program. How coaches need to be fired if they don’t win state in 7 seasons. Yet you work at a plant & get over paid and gripe about the price of the gas you make at the same time. Or you are in business & haven’t had your names in Forbes Magazine yet. You must be a failure. Rant over!

Now, when I've ask this in the past, many anti-Trumpers said he did "mean" Tweets and and he was brash. So, again -- what policies that Trump supported was bad for America that would make him garbage? PS: His Tweets 'never" made it into policy!

This has been asked of the anti-Trump crowd many times and never gets answered. I’ll answer for them, they simply didn’t like his mean tweets and crude behavior and policies never entered into their opinions, they probably never even took the time to look into his policies (low information) or they would have seen the choice between him and the crooked fool was a no brainer.

Because I did not have North Shore in a position to get a playoff spot before district started. Halfway thru, they are in a position to get one. That's surprising to me. I felt like Summer Creek was the 2nd best team in the district coming in. Now they are battling for that last playoff spot. That's disappointing to me. My predictions don't necessarily coincide with my Surprise/Disappointing teams. Look at LC-M, I got them my disappointing team in 19-4A but still have them finishing 2nd. My surprise and disappointing is based solely off the first half of district play. The surprise teams could end up being what I thought they would be and the disappointing teams can right themselves in 2nd half of district. Thought I explained this in very first post. 😉

You can measure a coaches successes in many ways, by wins, championships, or in lives changed. Wins are good, Championships are great, but there is no substitute to changing a young athletes life. I’ll take a good coach who can mold a young athletes life, over a great coach that gets wins but doesn’t connect with his players.

Buna beat Kirbyville 84-52 it was Warren I believe you’re referring to. Buna also played EC to a 5 point game and OF to a 7 point game.

I don’t suggest this but the public that witnesses a theft can stop it. I have seen videos lately of store employees not stopping a thief because their company will fire them but the videos show citizens jumping in and doing it. That only is this legal in Texas, it will more than likely will increase the criminal penalty significantly. Texas has a specific law that says anyone can arrest for a theft that is reasonably believed. If the thief who the citizen was trying to stop slapped him across the cheek, it then becomes robbery with a maximum of 20 years in prison. Here is an example. If a guy picks up a $90 drill and walks out of the store, it is a class C misdemeanor or the equivalent of a traffic citation. It carries no jail time and a fine only of $500 or less. If a citizen stepped in to try to stop the thief and the thief caused any pain to the citizen like a slap, it is robbery. If the thief threatens the citizen who is trying to stop him, even if he does not hit the citizen, it is still robbery because of the threat. Under that exact same scenario and if the citizen happens to be 65 years or older, the C misdemeanor theft becomes Aggravated Robbery and carries up to a 99 year prison sentence. So a fine of a couple of hundred dollars could now be life in prison under Texas law.

In our District, the surprising team has got to be West Brook. They are currently tied for second. They battled BU for 3 quarters. Sure they had a slip up against Atascocita, but before the year started, I expected them to barely climbing in 4th. Disappointing team has got to be Summer Creek. They came into district ranked in the top 25 in the state and realistically was expected to cover one of the top two spots. Then they were upset by King and was beaten by WB and now their BARELY clinging to the 4th spot in district. Then they have a very good coach. This team is definitely falling short of expectations.

He had 32 points. He was eleven for 12 from two point range and two for three from three point range. I think he was four for five from the free throw line. Jimbo was in the house standing by the door on the east. But for all you Aggie fans there was an Alabama recruiter in the house. He was apparently an assistant coach or something and was a little less evident to the crowd.

Our HF Longhorns are looking good through 3 games so far. I hope they keep it up. They will have two great games versus HH and HJ coming up this week. Also, this team has great chemistry with each other unlike the team from the last couple of seasons. HF will outright win or share the district title for the first time since I have started following them.

Anyone that thinks that way is an idiot & doesn’t understand what Coach Mathews has done.

He isn’t saying anything about the number of students each school has. He is saying that the athlete’s at PNG come from Groves. Even the ones now that are from Port Neches. Most of their parents grew up in Groves. So they still have the Groves gene. Like it was said before in a different thread. Port Neches supplied the school and Groves supplies the athlete’s.
