@Mr. Buddy Garrity I believe he is from the area where he came from which is around Waco. He did GA for Tic Price at Lamar and we know how that went as well. Everyone is saying he is a really good guy but his coaching record says he is not a good coach. Small town politics got involved here and ousted another hometown guy. I'm hoping for the best and nothing against Coach Johnson just mad that we did not give our own the opportunity. I see the whole Connell family from the dad to the youngest working with kids around here with basketball all the time. The dad coached a girls team in Little Dribbles this past season when no one would step up to do it. Sad that our own students cant go off get an education and come back to coach unless they're from the right families. Only winner here is the school that Coach Johnson came from.

I get what you're saying. Maybe he will be great. I personally hope he is, but I have serious doubts. I believe his career coaching record is 6-51. How does an AD choose that over someone who has been with the program for a year already? Also, what kind of message does that send Connell that the AD was willing to hire someone with a 6-51 record instead of him? Now another good coach will leave Buna for a guy who has basically proven that he is a great person, but a below average basketball coach.

I got to meet our new Coach tonight at the baseball game. He is a nice young man but after we talked I had to do some research on where he is coming from. This past season in Chilton he was 0-19 and 0-12 in district. How do we hire a young coach that could not do well in 2A and expect him to do well here in Buna. The sad part is one of Buna's own Connell who did a great job on the boys side was passed over for this guy. Again, he is a nice guy, but it is hard for me to believe that he would do better than Connell. I'm cautiously optimistic but still left wondering how an 0-19 guy even gets an interview.

Are you sure? After all it was 10 o’clock at night! Surely that gives people the authority to come out pointing guns or shooting and claim to be scared. Now beyond sarcasm…. Yes it is almost exactly the same except trade a person in a car for a person out of the car. All uses of force use the term “reasonable”. “I saw a car in my driveway” would not be seen as a reasonable justification for deadly force by any reasonable person.

How did that team not win a championship?

Anybody that pledges blind allegiance to a political party or public servant is a clown... kinda like when 95% of the black population votes Democrat. You and I might disagree philosophically, but at least you're doing some thinking. That's rare around here.

Take trump out of your brain for a moment…..also take all conservatives out of your brain as well. liberals have put policies and laws in place that are terrible for humanity…..10 fold compared to conservatives. Let me say it again I didn’t vote trump in primaries. But I did in the general…any one with any moral standards would vote conservative over a liberal….PERIOD. How’s that fence feel on your crotch…. I think you like it…..chain link or is barb wire your thing, maybe scooting along a splintering wood fence.

No doubt a structured home life would be the best but in the absence of that the only way to protect citizens like this young lady that was filming the destruction is to come down hard on these folks. They can’t win if city leaders truly decide it needs to stop and allow police to do their jobs. What’s sad is same city leaders want to defund the only resource that can save them. It worked in NYC but I also understand that was a different time with fewer snowflakes and less wokeness.

though I agree with the law enforcement statement…but for starters it’s going to take a structured disciplined home life. I highly doubt that law enforcement will be able to be harsh enough on said criminals….too much red tape….society has taken corporal punishment out of schools…. Soft on crime is the liberal way and pushes conservatives to eventually take matters into their own hands then we are the ones demonized and labeled. They ll blame their unemployment on no available jobs…..fix your home environment 1st then fix your culture within the community 2nd

Now we’ll hear democrats lamenting the misfortune of the poor inner city downtrodden because the big bad corporations won’t service them.
