The President of the United State's son and business partner was in court yesterday for not paying child support to a former stripper he fathered a child with on a crack smoking bender a few years ago. If he was a Trump it would be the lead story on every cable news program in America. But he's a Biden, so the press is respecting the privacy of everyone involved.

My dad had a auto parts store in Groves in the 80s. He was one those guys that could tell you a part # without looking it up. It always amazed me. Even if he did have to look it up, he knew exactly the book and page. When he shut it down and went to another store, they used computers. He was still faster on the catalog then the guys entering in numbers for year, make, model, engine, trans, a/c, doors. Lol. What do doors matter to the guy standing there needing an alternator??? D1 QB son may be legit & seems to have a bright future, but it's not uncommon for freshmen to start at 3A\2A schools. If this hire is made, just seems its not for the OC position with new set of eyes\play calling to get offense going better it's for the coaches QB son. Barrow most likely stays running the offense & calling plays, IMO

Because it may be interesting….. Organized Crime (OC) is not a crime by itself. OC is an enhancement to certain other crimes if committed with 3 or more persons. The punishment is generally one degree higher than the most serious crime committed. In this case Aggravated Assault is a second degree felony or up to 20 years in prison. By charging OC, it would move the punishment to a first degree felony and up to 99 years maximum. They will probably get indicted for Organized Crime-Aggravated Assault. The Agg Assault with at least 3 people is what allows the enhancement to Organized Crime. What may also be interesting in the OC law, the participants don’t need to know each other. They don’t have to all be in the same room and say, let’s do this. For example…. A guy gets with an acquaintance and says that he wants to start breaking into homes in the daytime when people are at work. He does not need the acquaintance’s help in the burglaries but he wants the acquaintance to hide the stolen property because the acquaintance has a big shed in his backyard. If the acquaintance can help sell the property, he can keep some of the cash. The acquaintance agrees and says that he has a friend with a lot of street contacts who can get rid of the stolen property quickly. The friend in turn has a cousin who will help him. So the first guy starts breaking into homes and stealing various items. He gives it to the acquaintance who has it for a while in the shed. The acquaintance gets with his friend to sell the stolen property. The friend gets his cousin to help him. So the guy that started the whole thing has no clue who the acquaintance’s friend is and he certainly does not know the cousin. In fact, the acquaintance does not know his friend’s cousin. So…. A-Original guy breaking into homes B-the acquaintance C-his friend D-the cousin A knows B only B knows A and C C knows B and D but not A D only knows C B, C and D are knowingly possessing stolen property at some point but take no part in the burglaries. C and D don’t even know who the guy is. Burglary of a Habitation is a second degree felony. Since this involved at least three people, even though they did not all know each other and had no clue where the crimes were being committed, they can all be included in organized crime. The Burglaries can now be enhanced to a first-degree felony carrying that 99 year maximum sentence and….. all 4 can be charged with Organized Crime-Burglary. Since the cousin who is helping to sell the property that he did not know where it came from or who the guy was that stole it, is now face 99 years in prison. THAT…. is the Organized Crime law.

This kid is years ahead of his age. He came to Anahuac and fell right into that program. you need to see him play before you judge him. He will surprise you.

Anahuac QB is the real deal. His dad is one of the assistant coaches for neece. neece hired the coach to get the QB at Anahuac. Nederland would have to hire the QB s dad to get the QB. I think he will be a sophomore next year. Coach Neece was OC at Newton when we won state.

We can all say what we want about Barrow but… He’s made plenty of chicken salad in his day…..It would be great to have the option to move Sunday to a different position to optimize his skill set… Hopefully this pans out and the coaches son is as good as advertised…. IMO

I get yours about the last one.. I had higher expectations but after looking and doing my research on the last one come to find out he didn’t start at the last school he came from which was a very small Christian school… just several camps that boosted him. 4 HS in 4 years says something imo. But this one started varsity as a freshman for very good Anahuac team that lost to state champion team. He had a great freshman year, to start varsity as a freshman in Texas High school says something. To do it as a QB you must be very special. But that’s just my 2cents on it all. If coach Barrier accepts the job him and Monte will do great.

I see your point, but last time a young stud "D1 QB" transferred in it didn't work out at all. I guess i have a tougher definition in what legit D1 talent is & what great coaches are.

All of the sudden it's about "the kids". The kids were being served well by the coach that got railroaded out of town. That's where the concern should be.

UPdate on the 4 shooters arraignment and bond. The two that have been in jail here Jasper were each charged with 1 count of aggravated assault with deadly weapon, and 5 counts of engaging in organized crime. Bond for them is 4 million dollars each. The two who were arrested in the logging wood and were initially in jail in Louisiana. They are now here in Jasper awaiting arraignment.

@TxHoops that is a hard Jab at Connell calling him a kid. He is far from that but if you actually knew as much as you thought you did you would know they're about the same age as @gogo173489 stated. I had let this topic go after my last post because I really do hope Coach Johnson does well and I will always give someone a fair go at it. To address only 2 candidates that was because the only place BunaISD posted the jobs to my understanding was their website. I've been told the job did not get posted to any of the other coaching sites where coaches find jobs. To me this is a problem that BISD needs to fix to get a more competitive field or it was done because the job was already a done deal. Again and I will say it again, we now have Coach Johnson and hope he does great.

Very few coaches are looking to take a job with unrealistic expectations and instructions on how the team should play before taking the job. If that’s going on now what happens when he takes over the team? Could be a constant battle. Might be in teams best interest to keep that to a minimum 🤷🏻‍♂️

Possibly... but not necessarily. The guy was an excellent recruiter, but his X's and O's were pretty much like everyone else. He thrived by getting his team all jacked up but sometimes that costed them too. I hope whomever Crosby hires will value integrity, sportsmanship and professionalism. HC's reflect on their community and school. I hope Crosby hires a good man to lead their program.

Typical small town politics you, would rather hire the coach with one year of being an assistant coach than someone who has multiple years, Weather it was a grad assistant or not. Now all of a sudden people are blaming the school for Girola leaving, but when he was at buna all people did was talk crap about him because he wasn’t living to to y’all’s expectations. And I know for a fact that the SUP doesn’t know his dad but I guess because she’s black they have to know each other. It’s sad that all just because buna has a black SUP she HAD to have something to do with hiring one of the few if not the only black coach that’s not from buna but go ahead continue to show y’all’s true colors if Donny lee was still there would his decision have been questioned?

Since it hasn’t been announced I won’t say anything, but I know her personally, she is young, she is hungry and she is competitive. She has coached a super small private school to the state championship I think it’s three years in a row now and has started up a travel team. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t like where she went to HS, but it’s a mid county school. I think she will do good things at Vidor!
