Seeing a few comments regarding players being ejected. Honest question !!!!! Should an umpire allow a HS Athlete to direct profanity towards him? IMO, it should not be tolerated at all. HS students directing profane language towards an adult is unacceptable in my book.3 points

I 100% agree! It’s a game, kids need to learn how to respect authority, last game of his life or not. Cuss your boss at work, you most likely aren’t getting a warning. This is on the parent of their kid gets ejected. I can assure you if I cuss an official, they wouldn’t have had to suspend me. My dad would have dragged me off by the ear and would not have allowed me to play the next game regardless. Life lessons are much bigger than a game.2 points

I think you're taking what was intended as a complement and turning it into something else. I saw Buna this year and they were competitive with a bunch of guys who don't jump out at you athletically. Thats pretty standard for Buna with most teams being a little better. Lots of good players have come through there, but I don't recall a whole lot of 6'6 guys tearing down rims. Whitmire always did more with less and that's impressive.1 point

I hope not too. Orangefield has been really good with McDonald and could continue to be really good with Whitmire. He has a good track record of taking kids without much athleticism and natural talent and turning them into good players and teams.1 point

Those Connells really are the best. I heard Whitmire is going to pass due to too much drama. If true, that's a shame because he's a really good coach. Buna should have never let him walk.1 point
