My point being, I am convinced that Trump cannot and will not win an election. So going forward, wouldn't it be in the best interest for the Republican party (and the rest of the country) to get a candidate that can win an election? I really believe the Trump ship has sailed. Need someone else to hang our hopes on. I have no clue who that could be but it's imperative that Biden needs to be voted out of office for the sake of the country.

Sure you can, not a fan of either myself. Not a fan of Trump because he is a rude crude dude, not a fan of Biden because he has replaced very successful policies with policies that are very harmful to the country. Won't bother listing any because it has been posted many times. There is a big difference on the reasons folks are anti-Trump (emotion driven) and anti-Biden (policy driven). Even if someone is anti-Trump, I can't see how any American that pays attention to politics (that's one of our main problems) is not concerned with the treatment he has received from Democrats and the press. It has been proven that the Democrats at the highest level actually made up evidence to try and get him removed from office...and no one cares because they don't like the guy. Problem is this isn't changing, some folks want to blame a candidate when the fault lies with 81 million folks that voted for the train wreck we have now and weren't aware of the consequences because it's nothing more than a popularity contest to them, and that problem is only getting worse, our voting base is simply getting more dependent and less informed.

In fairness, I remember big Colton taking 6’10” Tonny Trocha-Morelos to school in a game against A&M over Thanksgiving when he was a true freshman at New Orleans. He scored it 6 out of the 8 times he touched it on the blocks, despite giving up half a foot to the high major kid. The Privateers lost against that Aggie team with Daniel House and Alex Caruso but I remember watching the game with my son and father and hearing the ESPN guys gush about the freshman from Nederland. And I wasn’t surprised at all. Saw him do the same thing the summer before his senior year against Myles Turner. Seems like he’s had (and still having) a decent career. I won’t argue the guy from the peach basket era that won a medal and some nba titles. He would have to be all time Beaumont Enterprise super gold team with that resume. Not even Stephen Jackson, Perk, BJ, etc. have that combo of accolades.

Even if you want to go with Hefner as the collegiate player he has had a hard time finding a role on the team. Weisbrod was a very very good player once he moved back home. Dominated the juco level and then came in and was one of the top 5 players in the confrence for two years. Jamie Weaver averaged 3 points a game at Houston and then had to transfer to Hawaii where he didn’t even end up finishing out playing basketball. If you want to go with the guy who played HS ball in the 40s and 50s go ahead I guess. Point is, those other two have been to better programs, and Hefner was 100% the better prospect, but no one who has played at Nederland has been better than Colton.

Weisbrod was the mvp of the State his senior year. He was an undersized 4 at the next level so that dictated his offers. A 6-4 SG is more marketable at the collegiate level than a 6-5 (at best) PF. However, if it’s the best HS player, it’s gotta be Weisbrod. And I love me some Hef. As for the other guys, way before my time so can’t speak to them. Colton is also on the very short list of best players in SETX in the last decade.

That’s my only real beef with the list. But I’m admittedly biased and all selected were certainly deserving. I would have had him on the second team.

Yes Alabama looking and Texas offering. This team has a lot of talent. I believe you will see many head off on scholarship by the time they are seniors. Jackson is only headed to his junior year and already offered from Texas and probably Alabama sooner than later. The freshman going to Soph is getting looks as well. At 6'7" 270 he has much room to fill out and unique athletic set of skills as well. Line is looking crazy for this year. Hard to imagine Nguyen, Chatagnier, and Shea Adams all running from behind this line. This team is shaking out to be pretty good.

Yes the Bulldogs have had some good QB’s over the years. Two others come to mind Steve Stuart and Don Clayton The problem is the QB’s the past 2 seasons have not been good. They may be good at other positions, but they are not QB’s. They are also not being taught good mechanics, which leads be to believe the QB coach is not teaching these players very well. Their throwing mechanics are extremely weak
