I would argue PNG doesn’t have more talent. PNG has a really good coach. Roughly the same group that got blown out in the 3rd round in 2021 went to State in 2022. The only thing that changed was a better coaching approach.

How will they be favorites? Is Fort Bend Marshall going to disappear (without even getting into the other teams in the district)? I can see an argument they’ll be in the mix. But I see no basis for calling them favorites, until we see more. How about they win a first round playoff game ?

My point is it is all cyclical. Dayton had probably the best three years of its football history from 2007-'09 and then faded out for multiple years. Maybe they will be back to that level, maybe not. Nederland has faded the last two years after about 24 years of pretty good football, they might rebound this year , or there might be changes coming, who knows. The district and region have changed quite a bit as far teams since then as well. This district will be tough to get out of let alone the playoffs.

The freakin video is in the first post, but this is the question we should expect. Now, flash that diploma at us one more time.

Never gets any easier moving classes. Always run into another strong program. Thats why I think TX football is so elite, quality programs at all sizes.

I think Splendora is a definite move up to 5A Also Tarkington and Shepherd will be on the bubble depending on how far the line moves

Did you really think the Rs were gonna let those two Trump impeachments slide? This is going to be the new normal from both sides. The fact that Biden hasn’t already been impeached even though the far-right loonies were promising to do so from the jump is a really good indicator of how clean Biden actually is. But make no mistake… we’re hurtling into third world banana republic status and both parties are to blame. Not just the Ds and not just the Rs. The core of both factions is cancerous and rotten.

Yes Dayton lost a lot, but that had one in the stable rehabbing from a pretty rough injury most of last year. Ashanti Allen Jr. Remember the name.

Interesting that the distinction was made for 6A D1 and D2. Since they are not pre-divided its more of a guessing game.

It says some will move up some will move down. Some in every division.

Did not say anyone was going to "disappear". However, the only limiting factor on Dayton this year is that FBM and PNG have more talent to the point where it will be difficult for Dayton to overcome. The talent level at Dayton will jump next year and the gap between the others will be gone. With Ware's system in place and equal (to more) talent, Dayton will be the favorite (my call). You may very well need to see more but I have seen enough to feel confident in my prediction.

I will attend homecoming (Brazosport). That is my youngest son's 10 year reunion. I will also attend the Jasper game. Other than that, probably will not see any others. I highly doubt that I will be in any broadcast booth this year, but you never know.

Just seen where Tank has been working out with Jasper's star LB. Tank is currently in T-Town visiting Bama. More Titans received D1 offers the past couple weeks I've seen, not going to post all that on here. Can't wait for August 25th to get here. 😈

….and the defending World Series Champions end their road trip with a 6-3 record. Alvarez and Altuve may both be healthy for the next series. Astro have been doing very well. I’d like to see any other team lose two starting pitchers, their All Star second baseman/leadoff hitter and spark plug, plus the best player in baseball and still hold steady. What an amazing team this really is. So fun to watch.

My point exactly, football in BISD isn't important anymore. The only schools in Bmt are going to get stomped again in Football. What else goes on Football including playoff games, Soccer..... Camps, what else? should have put a track around it.

Actually, I'm more fond of Durley/Levias Stadium. Yes I know the stadium on the West Brook campus is named after Alex Durley. But it no longer has varsity football games played there. I also get naming rights and the dollars that can be used for the school district. That's a very good thing. Just as long those dollars don't end up padding someone's personal pocket.

I'll continue calling it what I've been calling it: The Butch.

Seems like I remember some of those Dayton predictions a few years ago too, I also remember that Dayton hasn't beat Ned in the playoffs, ever. The point being, I wouldn't assume that Ned is going to stay down for long and assuming one team is just going to dominate for a long time is kind of silly.
