PNG will be fine. Remember last year Crippen didn’t look all that great in the beginning of the season. Then everything started coming together. New coach, new philosophy. Now Adams takes over and hasn’t been a QB for three years. Joseph has his way of doing things and the first game of the season is about how the QB reacts in certain situations and he may call something that will purposely put him in that position just to see how he reacts to it. Adams didn’t have to read coverage or get guys lined up in the right position. Now he does so it will take a little while but he will get there just like Crippen did.3 points

I think they would compete well at that 5a level. It may be hard for you to understand that the current district is probably the toughest district in the state and whatever team that you support would get monkey stomped on a weekly basis as well….3 points -

Some people have poor comprehension skills. The 4th best team in that district just beat Crosby like a drum. No team in our 5A Districts could compete with the top 4 in that district and I'd throw Humble High in the mix as well. I called them the SEC West for a reason2 points -

This. WOS it appears has forgotten how to play defense. The old CT saying “if you give them an inch they’ll expect a first down.” Seems to have gone by the wayside2 points

No one worth being respected asks for it or tells everyone that he deserves it. I wish people were more self-aware so that these things wouldn't need to be pointed out all the time. Now - That was a really good game from everything that I've seen and heard. Both teams are primed for great seasons.2 points -

This the third Evans-Pickens to come through Porter. His brother was the RB last year. He played QB the last few games last year. He was banged up the first part of the season.2 points -
I’m gave them the benefit of the doubt… They showed some significant improvement in the play calling last year. But man…you get a whole off season and you REGRESS?!? As a fan and supporter… Is not that we don’t appreciate the team we have. We do..they’re great. Just that when you know you should be seeing a way better product than the one being put on the field…it gets frustrating because the potential to be great is there. They just can’t seem to figure it out. …The defense is legit. Other than that touchdown at the end of the first half, they played exceptional. The offense has the potential to be really good. The coaching staff just has to open up the playbook. That vanilla offense ain’t gonna do much come playoff time. It was frustrating to watch last night. I hope the coaches realize that they can run more than that handful of plays they ran most of the night. You have to believe in your QB. If you win you win if you lose you lose…at least show that you are trying and mix it up… Take chances… It would be much more respected if you go out trying. Than to play scared and in hindsight think of all the would’ves could’ves… Overall.. good team win over a solid team in PNG.2 points

I totally agree with u!! But, when certain ppl only see things there way instead of having an open mind.its a reason that certain teams in our area are winning.silsbee,jasper,PAM,PNG,HF,NEWTON. And the rest of our area teams barely .500.coaching!! Me,personally really are proud of how hard our kids are trying.i truly believe if we had someone that knew how to run our system I have no doubt that these kids could play in dallas.1 point

WOS will win a close game, like last year. The years of WOS naming their score against area teams is over until they start playing better defense. They have to have better scheme, and tackle better if they want to win and win big.1 point

Last year BH had like 7 turnovers against MW. This year I think we had like 3. IMO, BH is further along after week 1 this year. I think the only week they may struggle is at Crosby because BH usually struggles at Crosby.1 point -
Id have to disagree. Once you get in the playoffs they do run into athletic teams like kilgore and chapel hill. Just because the district is watered down doesnt mean the playoffs will be1 point

I had a friend that I though well of. Cool guy but he did not handle his money well. I knew he was getting in a jam. He complained for several years. Suddenly, his complaints stopped. He bought a new truck, a motorcycle, huge big screen TV, jewelry for his wife, and all kinds of expensive stuff. Went on an expensive vacation to the Poconos. He maxed out all his cards and then took additional cash loans out. He suddenly seemed relaxed and happy. I asked him jokingly one day, "Whats up, did you win the lottery or something?". A big smile appeared, he said, no, I could not pay my bills so I got a sharp lawyer and declared bankruptcy. He said the lawyer told him to go on a shopping spree just before he filed the paper work. He saw I disapproved by the expression on my face. He asked me "whats the problem?". I told him, so, WHO pays the balance on your MasterCard, VISA, etc. Who pays your loans? He had a dumbfounded look, and said its all just "wiped away'. I pressed him and said no, where exactly did your balances go? He kept insisting they were all just "wiped away" in the bankruptcy. I said you owed VISA and MC about 15K each. Thats $30,000. You got the goods, so who pays for it? He says "well the company I guess". I said NO, you are wrong. I, and others are paying your balances. Inside he understood this but he would not admit the truth. I am not friends with the deadbeat any more. He gamed and exploited the system, which means he exploited all of who pay our bills. His debt was transferred to everyone else. If that's not THEFT, nothing is. They can celebrate their theft and gloat about it, but their day of accountability is coming...1 point -

I do think Woodville is a good team but I also think Franklin kept Woodville in the game with self inflected plays. Did Woodville force some turnovers... yes but they didn't need any help from Franklin either who was making big mistakes left and right. Maybe we will meet up again down the road when both are better and more polished. After all this was only week 1 with lots of football left. Both will learn and get better from this game.1 point -

Nope, nope and more nope. CEK returned 3 players a dominated Crosby. Their lines were even smaller but still dominated the line of scrimmage. I watched until Crosby scored on a wide open seem pass the turned off. IMO y’all lose next week and then have to play well to beat Lee. Prove me wrong 😑1 point

Kade Eudy dropping it in the bucket all night. Somehow we catch this one and walk away with no points after having 1st and 10 from the 15 and a TD drop on another perfectly thrown Eudy pass. Nice to see us make some plays on both sides of the ball against this caliber personnel. Particularly thought the o-line played better than expected considering Langley was out. Our kids were hanging there heads and moving slow toward the locker room at the half. But came back out with the same, if not more, intensity and energy. Nederland exposed some weaknesses. And we have plenty to work on before welcoming the Bears to DRH next Friday. Nederland will get better. But I don't know if we were that bad, or they were that good. Kinda like last season... we didn't really know what we had after shutting them out in week 1. Either way a win is a win. And I'm proud of the way we fought back. The leaders of the team never gave up. And kept everyone else giving 112%1 point -

That potential trillion dollars in forgiveness has to come from somewhere. Current estimates state that forgiveness will cost roughly $2,000 to $2,500 per taxpayer, whether they went to college or not. That's about $7,500 for my household alone. While forgiving student loans may have an impact on current borrowers, an analysis by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget said they would expect student loan debt to return to $1.6 trillion by 2028. Just a ploy to garner votes at the taxpayers expense, in other words. Since the plan does nothing to dampen higher education costs, it has no impact on current and future students facing historically high education costs. Student loan debt cancellation may have another negative impact—higher inflation rates. The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimates that the influx of $10,000 to $20,000 for millions of borrowers could push inflation rates even higher, with personal consumption expenditure (PCE) inflation increasing by 15–27 basis points. So, yes, I (we) have to pay for your forgiven loan...1 point -
