  4. I since u are nothing but a troll due to your post count...Ozen, Hebert, BCP, Central. French, United....whatever u want to call them has not beat PNG in over 10 years, but you want them kids to get 70 put on them playing a MEDIOCRE 6A... The schools you named, PNG could beat. Seven Lakes is the only "tough" team...have a seat.

  5. If BU goes something like 2-8 and finishes a four year stretch 10-30 they'll probably be playing teams the caliber of Alvin and Brazoswood again next alignment because no other reputable programs will respect them enough to pick up the phone. Even though BU isn't the best coached team I think PNG still gets a good look from them because of their athletic similarities to FB Marshall and Texas City who they'll see in district play. One of the interesting stats I ran across the last couple of years is the fact that BU has about a 30% larger football playing population than North Shore and their 4,500 student enrollment. At the very least even in 6A BU should be regularly competing for playoff spots. I think that goes to show how much culture plays into yearly results.

  7. All of you guys are right. Btw, WB is playing Manvel. another 5A program. Y'all have to remember, February of '20, once the districts came out, coaches had to scramble to find opponent. I'm sure that also determines who to scrimmage and whether to have spring ball or not(2 scrimmages vs one) That's why you see Brazosport and Mavel Lamar etc on the schedule. Travel gets involved big time which cost money. So when they get to play a local team in any copacity, they jump on it. There was a cycle which PAM had a home/home with Midland Lee and Alice so stop with the complaing please

  8. Once again I would like to tip my cap to PAM. Their defense is legit. If they figure out the O Line and QB they will be tough to beat. Congrats. I hope you win it all. Best of luck Titans. I hope this is your year.

  9. Only way BISD has a chance compete in football is if they go to one school & adopt everything Iā€™m going to state below: Coaching Purge: Schematically Beaumont is so far behind the curve when it comes to the things theyā€™re teaching those kids on the field. And this is because 90% of the coaching staffs at both schools havenā€™t coached anywhere outside of Beaumont. So most have no clue what a good offensive/defensive scheme is & couldnā€™t get on the board & explain why they run it. Admin Purge: It takes more than coaching to win & have a successful football program, look at any successful program across the state & youā€™ll notice they all have one thing in common. TALENT & an ADMIN whoā€™s built a foundation for their athletic programs to be successful (specifically football). Gotta have true feeder schools, HC has gotta be able to hire his middle school coaches, 90 min athletic periods, coaches not teaching tested subjects etc etc Facilities: Get this every school in 21-6A will have indoor facilities in the next couple years EXCEPT BISD. Humble ISD AD just granted indoors for every school in Humble as his parting gift & NS is waiting on the bond to pass to get theirs. Meanwhile BISD schools are still practicing on old grass fields & working out in outdated weight rooms. Smh Until BISD does all of the things I named plus more Beaumont donā€™t have a chance to be successful in football whether theyā€™re playing 5A or 6A!

  10. Itā€™s not about the shot, per se, itā€™s a prelude to mail-in ballots due to a renewed pandemic. Nothing to raise an eyebrow about it occurring four years apart. Simply a coincidence. Anything else is a conspiracy theory.

  11. Id have to disagree. Once you get in the playoffs they do run into athletic teams like kilgore and chapel hill. Just because the district is watered down doesnt mean the playoffs will be

  12. I had a friend that I though well of. Cool guy but he did not handle his money well. I knew he was getting in a jam. He complained for several years. Suddenly, his complaints stopped. He bought a new truck, a motorcycle, huge big screen TV, jewelry for his wife, and all kinds of expensive stuff. Went on an expensive vacation to the Poconos. He maxed out all his cards and then took additional cash loans out. He suddenly seemed relaxed and happy. I asked him jokingly one day, "Whats up, did you win the lottery or something?". A big smile appeared, he said, no, I could not pay my bills so I got a sharp lawyer and declared bankruptcy. He said the lawyer told him to go on a shopping spree just before he filed the paper work. He saw I disapproved by the expression on my face. He asked me "whats the problem?". I told him, so, WHO pays the balance on your MasterCard, VISA, etc. Who pays your loans? He had a dumbfounded look, and said its all just "wiped away'. I pressed him and said no, where exactly did your balances go? He kept insisting they were all just "wiped away" in the bankruptcy. I said you owed VISA and MC about 15K each. Thats $30,000. You got the goods, so who pays for it? He says "well the company I guess". I said NO, you are wrong. I, and others are paying your balances. Inside he understood this but he would not admit the truth. I am not friends with the deadbeat any more. He gamed and exploited the system, which means he exploited all of who pay our bills. His debt was transferred to everyone else. If that's not THEFT, nothing is. They can celebrate their theft and gloat about it, but their day of accountability is coming...

Rivalry or not, itā€™s been a long time Orange football event. There is a lot of community unity. It should be interesting with both teams 1-0. Donā€™t forget Dyer is now on the LCM sideline. That should be interesting s well. Itā€™s a money maker too. How many remember the unity after RG passed? The next week Mustangs weā€™re on the LCM sideline. It was moving to see the support.

  14. CHEF stands forā€¦ā€¦ Christian Home-School Educated Families. When I coached a home-school team we played in a league primarily based out of Louisiana called ACEL, and a lot of those teams had that acronym. If thatā€™s the team from Baton Rouge they are normally pretty salty.

  15. I know what to expect from Ned QB, he got in the game last year and took a couple hits but got right back up. I wanna see if Ned solved their conditioning issues come 2nd half, it was VERY noticable they wasn't ready for a full 4 quarter game last week, but with that said that game lasted oddly long last Friday for some reason.

  16. Keep waiting. I never claimed to be a coach or claim to know what went on when the game/s were agreed upon. All I know is more times than not PNG has a very competitive team and is a good non-district game for Bmt United.

  18. It wasn't me that said the "played anyone with a pulse" quote. It was Steven Avery who said that in responding to me. Speaking of Vidor, my step-dad's parents had a barber shop around the corner from the high school in the 60's-70s, maybe into the early 80's.

100% - Looks like the Coach has gotten buy in as well because those kids have to be studying this offense not just going through the motions.

  24. I conceded the point of playing the PN-Gs of the world doesn't help. Playing Alvin and Brazoswood doesn't help you either. And like I said, the current coach was hired late so he had no say in the scheduleing. So you would schedule 3 Houston area teams plus have a Houston area district schedule in spite of possible budgetary constraints. Aight den..... Sorry for the highjack pn-g fans

  27. Feels like this game could be a defensive struggle. If Crosby can contain the little RB #24 I think we'll have decent day rushing the passer and defending in the secondary. Andre Feast is a beast but overall I think the FBM receiving core is a notch below CEK. O-line isn't anywhere near King's overall size but the tackles do go about 285 and 300lbs with one being the younger brother of of former A&M signee Barton Clement. FBM runs a two QB system I'm assuming. #15 is the bigger kid and better runner while #6 is the better passer and less likely to pull it down. For example, #15 made all but a couple of FBM most explosive run plays against Klein while #6 was brought in on OT to throw the fade to Feast for the game-winning TD. What is concerning is FBM on the defensive side of the ball. Looks like they either got a basketball player to come out of got a DT transfer during the offseason? They already had Koryn Randals who has D1 offers at one DT spot and now they add 6'9" 250lbs DeMarcus Johnson who of course had D1 offers too. They replaced stud linebacker Jordan Sample and is counterpart with a couple of 6'2" sophomores who absolutely look like they have P5 ability. The secondary is typical FBM, Josh Lair, Caleb Chester and Isiah Williams all have multiple P5 offers. William Mitchell is their weak link in the secondary even though he's currently sitting on 11 D1 offers. Going to be a great test to see if we can scheme guys as open as we had them on CEK last week, hopefully we can catch it this time.

    Crosby vs FB Marshall

If we clean up the problems with dropping balls I think we win this one. If we continue to drop TD passes/long yardage catches then this will likely mirror the Klein game and be a who makes a play at the end type of game. FBM has a lot of athletes all over the place but Crosby has had their number lately. I think the new offensive scheme does a very good job of creating bad reads for the opposing teams. The number of times we had time to throw the ball against king even tho they would beat us off the edge 75% of the time is extremely impressive. I also think the running game will have a better day not playing a very good 6a front 7. I was exceedingly impressed with our coverage of C.E King this last week when they beat us this week it was due to bully ball which they should and did win. FBM doesn't have that style or type of offense they rely on being extremely fast and athletic. Limit big plays catch the ball and the Cougars will be just fine.

  38. I've always said that wb and bu should be 5a. If both schools were we'd be in the playoffs every year. One or the other. Brook has some talented kids still there. Coaching has to get better. The kids have to get better. The community has to get better. whether they have one school or three schools, the kids and parents have to step up and do better. Kids getting kicked off teams, smoking weed and vaping, parents knowing about it and cant control them. It's alot that makes a successful program and its not just at the 50 yard line.

I totally agree with u!! But, when certain ppl only see things there way instead of having an open mind.its a reason that certain teams in our area are winning.silsbee,jasper,PAM,PNG,HF,NEWTON. And the rest of our area teams barely .500.coaching!! Me,personally really are proud of how hard our kids are trying.i truly believe if we had someone that knew how to run our system I have no doubt that these kids could play in dallas.

  46. I actually got to attend this game. I have some thoughts. Letā€™s start with the bad. Our offense had issues tonight. Shea needs some more time with his receiver corps. Passes were close, but imprecise. I heard the announcer say the words ā€œnearly interceptedā€ too many times. Ball security was an issue. Now, I donā€™t think thatā€™s a reflection of Sheaā€™s potential. I think thatā€™s the result of a combination of early season jitters and a very tall, speedy, talented Memorial secondary. Likewise, Nguyen had an uncharacteristically rough night. Here again, early season jitters and a pretty stout Memorial defensive line. We know what Adams and Nguyen are capable of. We saw it last year. The good news here is, everything Iā€™m listing off can be fixed in practice, and weā€™ve got a coach with a proven track record of fixing these issues in practice. None of this is a talent issue. Take away two fumbles and a bad snap and tonight would have seen a different ball game. Now letā€™s talk about the good. The Indian defense is a force to be reckoned with. They kept us in this game for three and a half quarters despite the offensive miscues and mistakes. They only started to yield to fatigue for about the last six minutes of play, and it was because they were spending too much time on the field. Our lines are big on both sides of the ball. I watched our offensive line open up some huge holes for Shea, and our defensive line found ways to get into the backfield all night. Richard is a ball player. Iā€™m looking forward to watching this Sabanesque 3-4 defense mature at PN-G. I also want to note that this was mostly a clean game. Not a lot of penalties, what few were had mostly came toward the end of the game, and most importantly, no injuries. Despite the result, I really enjoyed this up until the end. The PN-G fan base was the most amped up Iā€™ve seen it for a pre-district game in a long, long time. Iā€™m glad to see the state title run have some staying power in terms of community support. The band, Indianettes, twirlers and cheerleaders all looked fantastic. Once we get everything firing on all cylinders (I think sooner rather than later), this will be a fun season to be a part of. Iā€™m going to throw some props to Memorial. They have a talented, physical, well coached team. I was really pleased to see their fan support. After playing so many games last year where opposing teams brought so few fans, itā€™s nice to play another team that can fill the stands. I enjoyed their band - worlds of improvement over what I recall when I last attended a Memorial game six years ago. This is the first time Iā€™ve seen the new field and scoreboard. They looked crisp. All in all, this was one of the more enjoyable atmospheres Iā€™ve seen at a PN-G away game. The Titans have a good season ahead. Lastly, I really like seeing PN-G play talented teams like Memorial early in the season. They do a great job of exposing our weaknesses and telling us what we need to work on. I hope that continues into future seasons. In particular, Iā€™d like to see us keep the series with Memorial alive. Lots of history between PN-G and Port Arthur. Given time, I believe this series will develop into a rivalry. (Revivalry?) Mid-County Madness would be complemented by a recurring South County Showdown.
