I think a program that has made the playoffs every year the past 10 years, going 80-36 overall (including this season's 3-1) and 14-9 in playoffs (averaging making 2-3 round every year) with a state title appearance does not qualify as "below average". IMO, "below average" is winning less than 50% of your games overall and only making the playoffs 2, maybe 3 times, in that 10 years span and never ever making a state title game. I know many many coaches that would agree with me. You may have been a coach, but I have spoken to many other coaches who disagree with your assessment of PN-G. But like they say, everyone has their own opinion. I do agree with you in the fact you were speaking about FB Marshall's lack of coaching more so than discrediting PN-G for the win. BTW, that's two consecutive games PN-G has defeated FB Marshall. I don't think a "below average" program accomplishes that.

Any thing is possible at this point. I thing we cruise to our bye week then coming out we have KWP, PAM and Porter. Any slip ups here and we could be watching the playoffs

So here is we’re we stand mid way through. Tied for 1st PAM @ 2-0 Tied for 1st LaPorte @ 3-0 Tied for 3rd BH @ 2-1 Tied for 3rd KWP @ 2-1 Tied for 3rd Porter @ 1-1 Tied or 3rd Lee @ 2-1 Crosby, Sterling and GCM all pretty much out of contention at the point. many scenarios left but I see in no particular order PAM , LaPorte, BH and Porter in the playoffs.

I can say starting with Faircloth, hiring a HC from outside the 409 has worked out quite well for PNG. The “good ole boy” thing tried to creep in again after Faircloth resigned but the decision to pay an outside consultant (Todd Dodge) to select the BEST candidate was $$ WELL spent! I’ve heard many districts are going that direction to minimize or eliminate “good ole boy” bias from the School Board.

The current head coach started his career at the freshman level & he was a former player at NS and played in the league. But this how ignorant & clueless you are about how a good HS program actually works! BTW I’ve never once stated how good of a coach I was…I simply tell guys like you on here that y’all don’t know sh*t & should stop speaking on things as if you’re knowledgeable about them. Bingo…I tell people all the time (even my close friends who think about applying for a Head Job in BISD) BISD isn’t set up properly for anyone to succeed in football. No matter who the coach is the district isn’t set up for sustained football success. Until this changes nothing will ever change.
