  1. I agree Stump is the best head football coach to coach at a Beaumont school since Alex Durley. Mr. Durley is by far the best overall & has the record to prove it.

  2. I always thought Craig Stump was and is an excellent coach. Won't get any argument from me on this issue. Cita will give North Shore all they can handle.

  10. Lol you gotta stop this! CMike & RG were indeed Pro’s no disrespect to them but it’s levels, you can’t compare them to a guy who’s been in the league for almost a decade and made multiple pro bowls. Not to mention there were a couple other D1 players on that clements team. That ain’t equal talent, also that IKE team if I remember right signed the most D1 players than any other HS in the country that year. As far as Dickinson, coached against them many times they’ve always had more talent than WB and still do! That Cy Falls team was LOADED, hence why they played in the state championship game that year & lost to a Cedar Hill team that had way more talent. Outside of the one state run Peevy’s tenure (he benefited from Katy having to play in the D1 bracket that year) was very average at WB & don’t even compare to Stump come on man this not even a debate. Stump is literally an offensive wizard! Can coach it with the best of them. Stump will be at Cita for as long as he wants to be & when he decides to retire his son will take over the reins. If the fan base is upset they’re simply delusional, they expect him to beat a NS program that has more talent & has only loss 4 games in the last 5 years? Come on

  11. All the teams I made bold, Stump's WB teams had equal or better talent than. Stump had future pros on those team as well. Christine Micheal and Ryan Grant were on the team that lost to Dickerson. Hell Peevy accomplished more at WB with less. My opinion might be strong as calling him not good, but he definitely underachieved with the talent he had at WB. Plus, the Atascocita fanbase is starting the have those same sentiments.

  12. Coach Izzy Dizzy beating that chest early this morning. I get it.... NO one on this site has the football knowledge he has. I've heard thought the grapevine that he is at the top of the list of the Bama or Patriots job when Saban and Belichick retire.

  13. Statements like this lets me know guys like you don’t know nothing about football. Stump is an elite coach especially on the offensive side! Coached against him many times, offensive scheme is one of the best in the state. Has he won a state title? No, but the comments I see you guys make about him on here is laughable honestly. The guy has won at a high level consistently everywhere he’s been. Keep in mind he beat NS in 16 & 17, just beat Katy a few weeks ago & has been to a state semifinals. Also Last 3 or 4 years he’s made it to the regional finals, not sure how a guy with the resume of stump’s is classified as someone who can’t coach smh

  14. I think overall the coach at Sterling is a good dude, but this was the year where it was finally time to turn the corner and win some games, and I’m not talking about just defeating the other two Baytown schools which I don’t believe he has in recent years. Of course he gets the win against GCM. However , it’s no secret they pay him a huge salary to lead that program along with assistant coaches making more than 3A and 4A athletic directors around most areas of the state. You got a very young linebacker coach that pretends to know a lot more than he actually does, an older QB coach that has failed in getting the ranger QB to progress. He has had that player for nearly two years as a starter, and I’ve yet to see or hear the QB truly take another step, and this QB is an excellent athlete. I heard through the grapevine that several 9th grade coaches were promoted up this season when you had some varsity coaches from last year leave for another district or previous profession. One of those coaches was the d-line coach who was hands down the most knowledgeable coach on the staff. I heard that he was replaced by a 9th grade coach. You also lost one of the linebacker coaches who was the most popular coach on that staff and biggest inspirational motivator to those kids. He went back to another profession, I think he was a special agent or some fancy law officer title. His position was not filled leaving only one LB coach for this year. One LB coach in that size school..not smart. You also lost an o-line coach who was a true o-line coach and fit the identity of that position with his gritty approach. I also think they lost some more offensive coaches. Either not filled or filled with 9th grade staff. They did replace coordinators, but that hasn’t exactly worked out. Sure they were still bad last year, no arguing that, but this year they were an older team with higher expectations, and again Toomer has failed to meet that expectation. Anything is possible. They could turn it around and get a win against Crosby or LaPorte, but that’s not likely. I sure hope they do. Pulling for it to work out for them. I hate to see a program that loses consistently every year. At some point , if it doesn’t turn around, Goose Creek may want to look towards the future of Sterling and see if they can find another overall leader. I think 6 years of losing is enough.

  22. I don't hate the idea. It obviously won't solve all the problems, but it has a few major benefits. First, it will bring a large portion of our local homeless to one area, making it much easier for local volunteer groups to help them. Second, it will bring a large portion of our local homeless out of populated residential and commercial areas. Whether someone is homeless because of drugs, mental issues, or because they lost their job, I don't want them camping out in the alley behind my grandmother's house, or coming up and hassling my wife for money when she's walking with my kids to her car. Moving them to a location that's remote, but also provides some services they need will alleviate this issue quite a bit.

  23. There is nothing in this world that more people are a fan of or enjoy, but really have no clue about what they're talking about, like football. I promise you, 100%, if Izzy coached HS ball in Texas, and you haven't, he knows more football thank you. Wish we could get a real time virtual white board and have some of you even do the most simple of things, like even identify if a run scheme is Zone or Gap Scheme. Could you identify it in 2 to 3 seconds? I promise you Izzy can, and I don't even know him. Humble yourselves. Yall don't really know as much as you think you do. Just because you know what play action pass is when you watch football on Saturdays and Sundays doesn't really mean squat. Have you game planned against another coach who is getting paid to beat you?

  24. BH wins because of more overall volleyball talented\skilled starters, more quality depth, more exp. vs better competition pre-district & a more exp. coaching staff. BH is just a better athletic program from top to bottom in all sports then the GOLDEN TRIANGLE schools the last several years.

  25. Man the Derek Carr that played for Clements wasn't the QB he is today. Didn't he move to California before his senior year and then he took off? I actually went to that game in the cold and rain and watch Stump trick off the win. WB led that game until a little over a minute left. It was some very questionable calls by the coach that cost WB that game. That Dickerson team didn't have the Lamarque kids on it that the Dickerson North Shore has been playing has. WB was clearly the better team in that game and Stump got in his own way again. As far as the Cy-Falls team, WB was better than them on both sides the ball, hell sports mags had the Bruins as the dark horses to make out the region that year. Dude underachieves as the head coach given the talent at his disposal. As for Peevy he made it to the holy grail of TX high school football, the state championship game. Stump can't even make it out the region. So if we use your logic, doesn't that make him the better coach? Peevy has a state runner-up trophy on his resume, Stump doesn't.

  27. We'll see. Atascocita has some great line play on both sides. North Shore is the favorite for sure but their district game last year was close (16-13 NS win). I don't think it will be a blow out.

  28. Doubt it, they’re terrible on defense and are too one dimensional on offense to beat NS. However NS is missing a big time D1 safety who’ll be out until the playoffs so that could make things interesting. If Cita can’t get the run game going which they haven’t been able to the past 4-5 meetings they played NS, they’ll get blown out. Cause they won’t be able to stop NS offense.

  32. one of the reasons I think Newton has sustained their high level of winning year in and year out. the young freshman come in playing higher level competition each year(level wise that is). the experience they gain each year, helps keep those Eagles flying high.

  42. It won’t even be close. Crosby HC has no clue what he is doing. We run up the middle for 8 yards then try to pass. On 4th and inches inside the opponents 30, we run a jet sweep. Terrible. He needs to just quit. I know he has to hear the fans in the stands, the Texanlive announcers comments, posts on social media. The offense looks like they are a middle school team.
