Texas city at F B Marshall

I think TC has the offensive firepower, but it’s not a good matchup for them. TC’s defense isn’t very good. Their safeties are basically a non-factor, and PNG was pushing the d-line around the field as the game went on. So, I’d expect FBM to score a few points against them. On the offensive side, TC has a good running and passing game, but FBM takes away the passing game pretty well. There’s a reason PNG hardly threw the ball at all against them, and it’s not just because Bailey is inexperienced. FBM has four-stars all over the secondary. And their D line gets to the qb in about 1.5 seconds, so there won’t be time to set up passes. I don’t see TC finding a lot of chances to score, or stopping FBM from scoring. I’m taking FBM by 2 scores.

  6. Again, you would not be an honest juror if you said political affiliation would not affect your consideration of the evidence. I trust that enough people take the court process seriously that a randomly selected jury pool would contain at least 12 people who could look at evidence, not personality or politics. Were I called for a Trump trial jury pool I would have to disqualify myself. And I would.

could really go either way, but our starting safety being out scares me. with that being said, pirates in a close one.

    $250k for homeless

Man I get it, and I agree to a point, but I still think the only thing you're doing is polishing a turd. The "out of sight out of mind" approach is actually worse for them. Offer true help which is not only food and shelter, but jobs & healing as well. Employment programs, drug rehab, mental health assistance, even spiritual healing is needed if you truly want to give meaningful assistance. That's not gonna happen by shoving them under the bed. Just my opinion.

  18. I've had conversations pre-season stating no one has anybody coming back that scares me However, LP's offensive scheme is trouble for modern day defenses that play 100% nickel as a base So, all Mangum and company have to do is revert back to the 2nd half film from last year after LP gashed them in the 1st half Titans will be fine at home

Safety is out with partially torn MCL. There have been moves to compensate, we will see how those shake out. Overall, I still think Vidor pulls it out by 10 or 14.

  20. Will this game be live streamed, other than Texan Live if it will be on Texan Live? I'm picking WOS, since I've seen them play. I haven't seen HF, yet. If WOS would have kicked field goals instead of going for it a couple of times they would have beat PNG a few weeks ago.

    Kirbyville @ Anahuac

Going with Anahuac. Give the ball to #5 for Anahuac. The player was carrying bobcats on his back and still running with good speed. The passing touchdown he caught in the end zone as well. Guy is a special talent. That’s #5 coach, lol.

  23. Better memory than me. I remember Cobra. But not the OT. Oh well. My login name may give a clue why I don’t remember everything anymore. HA! (I was there when Lundin was still coaching and LP was meeting up with Craig James & Stratford. Dude played LB, RB & PK. LOL…)

    Vidor at LCM

Defense!! Defense!! Defense!! Should be a lot of that going on in practice this week. LCM's DL needs to do their job of plugging holes and linebackers stay focused on the run. I'm sure they're going to be hit from all sides. Vidor will control the ball like they always do and eat up the clock. LCM needs to control the their possessions of the ball as well. But its going to come down to defensing and stopping the slot t. You would think the coaches have figured it out by now. But the question is can the coaches, coach it into the players. I think if LCM starts off like they did last week it will be a close game but they will win it. They can't do like they have in the past and dig them selves in whole that they can't get out of. Vidor controls the ball to good to be playing catch up all night.

  39. Nederland players as a group were more exp. & skilled last year then this years team & stepped up big that game. Caught BH dealing with some injuries missing a few players & made mistakes they usually don't make. Probably over looking Nederland that game & at the playoffs. BH coach made some different moves & it didn't pan out that game. But that was last year & this post is about this year. 9/29/23 Game Results Barbers Hill- 25 25 25 Nederland- 16 12 11

  40. Both teams were absolutely running on fumes during the last quarter. Was the game everyone was expecting to see. HF was the more disciplined team overall, and proved they are a contender. Jasper will be a tough opponent for the rest of their district foes.

  45. I don't hate the idea. It obviously won't solve all the problems, but it has a few major benefits. First, it will bring a large portion of our local homeless to one area, making it much easier for local volunteer groups to help them. Second, it will bring a large portion of our local homeless out of populated residential and commercial areas. Whether someone is homeless because of drugs, mental issues, or because they lost their job, I don't want them camping out in the alley behind my grandmother's house, or coming up and hassling my wife for money when she's walking with my kids to her car. Moving them to a location that's remote, but also provides some services they need will alleviate this issue quite a bit.

  46. I agree with most of what was said, this is definitely a tough problem. There are groups in the area that are helping these folks (many church based) that want help and believe it or not, there are homeless in the area that are holding down jobs and trying to get past being homeless. There are also folks that have some mental issues and drug problems, or both, that make getting the help they need much more than what is being proposed. This may be coming from a motive of true compassion but I think what is being proposed will not help the homeless situation at all, it will simply move it out of sight.
