Maybe PAM is getting better week to week? That's what it looks like from the outside looking in. I've seen two PAM games. PN-G in week 1 and tonight's game vs. La Porte. PAM has improved since the PN-G game. The run game is solid. The defense is solid. The throws tonight were there...had three drops. Reading this thread in hindsight, some of the PAM fans want the Titans to be playing their best ball in weeks 5 and 6. Take the Ws each week, identify the mistakes, and go to practice the next week to get better. I want my team to be playing its best football in weeks 11-16, not week 1 or week 2 or week 5. If the QB is not running each time the Red Sea parts, no big deal. As long as he is managing the game and taking care of the football, which he is, he will see the running lanes on the film. He can run wild in weeks 11-16. You guys hammer the PAM coaches when every little thing goes wrong. What more can Coach Morgan do? His staff obviously know their talent and how to make adjustments at the half. That's coaching. I'd be more worried if my team's coaches didn't make adjustments. Also, it's crazy to expect 15-18 year old kids to play a perfect game. Drops happen. Missed blocks on the bubble screen happen. Cut them some slack and enjoy the Ws. It's hard to win. The other team's coaches get paid, too. If winning was easy, everyone would be winning. I will echo the LP fan. The PAM online broadcast is very well done. I'm no fashion guy and I'm old, but the all red unis were hard on my eyes. I like the all black PAM unis or the all white with the black/red trim. I think PAM will be a tough out in weeks 11-16.

I keep seeing alot of folks, opps and so called PAM supporters saying "come playoffs this and come playoffs that!" This is week 7 and NONE of you all are seeing different wrinkles and packages. Saying that you all want the NON-RUNNING QB run when he's a passer makes me sit back and look side eye at some of you. You have not 1, not 2, but THREE capable RB's and to post QB run is (to me) ABSURD! QB threw for 300+ on and team that has a "winning record" is impressive to me. Mind you, it wasn't mostly "bubble screens that most complained about after the first game. I'll say this, I'm an avid PAM fan that won't EVER criticize the players or COACHES. It's my city, my kids and MY coaches and I'm going to roll until the wheels fall off....Thanks Ol Dawg

WOS isn’t a bad team… they’re just not great anymore and it doesn’t sit well with the Mustang faithful. This is a tough district with Silsbee looking like they’re on the elite level, with WOS, Jasper, and HF all mixing it up for those 2-4 slots. WOS in its current configuration would still win a lot of DCs in most districts… just not the one they’re currently in. The Glory Days of going to state are gone, and just like it is for most teams, they aren’t coming back. It’s no longer a football program with a school, but a school with a football team, just like it should be.

Officiating was questionable to say the least.😬

This is a rivalry game. You never know what's going to happen. La Porte is just now getting back to where they used to be. The staff turnover the last few years has been tough on the program. But, the stability is back with this staff again. This should be a good rivalry for a few years again--pending realignment.

Good day everyone, I am not sure if this is allowed or not. If not, please take this post down. I have been trying my best to create an archive for our UIL Region 10 high school marching bands. That was the original intent when I created my YouTube channel 16 years ago. I had found many old VHS tapes over the last 10 years that helped to broaden and deepen the channel with all sorts of high school marching bands throughout the state including our home Region 10. Just last month, I discovered another huge cache of old Region 10 marching band contest performances going as far back as 1976. For some people that marched that contest, that was infamously known as the "Mud Bowl" with the awful field conditions. I have posted that full 1976 contest that includes all bands from the middle school/junior highs all the way up to the largest 4A classification of that time period. Currently, I am slowly posting all bands from the 1977 contest. I have digitized the VHS tapes for the 1978, 1979 contests and am currently digitizing the 1980 contest. As I am working through the different years, I find it fascinating to see all these different high schools that no longer exist due to consolidation (Beaumont Hebert, South Park, Forest Park, French, Port Arthur Jefferson, Port Arthur Austin, Port Arthur Lincoln) or no longer have band programs (High Island, Chester). Also, the quality of the middle school/junior high bands that march in the contests look and sound like high school bands. During this time frame, I am seeing lots of schools switch from military style to a military-corps hybrid or going straight into DCI corps-style. This is really evident going from 1979 to 1980. In 1976 all but two high schools (West Hardin and Kountze) were military-style with some of the largest schools having a sort of mili-corps hybrid type show (Port Arthur Jefferson, Forest Park). Please take a look at these historical recordings and I am forever grateful to the band directors that took the initiative to document and save these recordings from years ago. Here we go again! It's Bandtober and the return of the annual UIL Region 10 Marching Band Contest! The contest will be held Saturday October 14, 2023 at Port Neches-Groves HS Stadium. The schedule shows 29 bands competing to earn that coveted Division 1 rating and the chance to move on to state competition. Admission is $5 to get in. I still plan to attend and record all the bands. If y'all want, come say hi to me as I battle the weather elements and try to get the best video/audio recordings of our local high school bands. Once I get back home, I will start to edit the video and audio, then post onto my YouTube. The day looks to be pleasant with a cool front passing the day before so hopefully I will not be a sweaty mess at the end of the contest. I believe this is the first official year since 1990 (not counting the post-COVID time), that ALL classifications will advance past region to area/state competition. Keep in mind that we have separate open class (contemporary-style) and military class tracks for state marching band contest. Some of my thoughts: - One school missing from last year (2022) includes Newton. - Lamar University will be performing twice for exhibition. - Beaumont United and West Brook High Schools are competing back as Varsity Bands, so they will be able to advance to the Area round. - Currently we have 3-2A, 9-3A, 12-4A, 3-5A, 2-6A bands participating. Best wishes to all participating bands as they finish learning their music/drill and polishing up their shows in the next week.

The RANGERS take game 1 of the ALDS 3-2. We got a 1 run WIN!!! 15-22 in 1 run games this season. 1-0 in 1 run games in the playoffs.

Never in MY life did I EVER think any thread on this forum would be debating whether WOS would be 3rd or 4th in district much less a possibility of WOS not even making the playoff. How in the world is the School board (which has former WOS Athletic alumni) letting this happen. I’m sad & disappointed.

the current state of Beaumonts high school football needs a complete reset from top down(both). it's sad but true. Not a single soul on Earth can/will convince me that there is not the skill and talent there to do better than what the records/games reflect.

Them boys will be lucky to get 40 on us in basketball 🤣

He was slamming his head set on the ground arguing with the ref instead of trying to coach up the team. HF had some good players. La Marque had athletic kids and when coaching left they ended up like this. I honestly hate seeing Wos like this they need a change soon

Coach Wagoneer before he came to HF 142-89 with 4 state championships the guy is a winner. WOS could have gotten a guy like this. Hes probably getting paid less then hickman.

Holmes was y'all's kryptonite for LP tonight. He had a great game! PAM made some great adjustments going to a 5 man front, and those few minutes around the half turned the game completely around. LP missing an opportunity to score before half, PAM driving for 3 after half, and then the botched KO return by LP was all a big 13 point swing. Good game PAM!

I would pump the brakes on giving Laporte the victory right now and saying they’re the better team. There’s still a whole other half to be played, but at the same time.. Memorial’s playcalling and defensive strategy has got to step up. It ain’t over…‘til it’s over.

Good effort by the Ganders. Have to be proud of the way they play. Just not enough depth. Too many guys playing both ways and additionally some sloppy stuff like muffing kick off returns and punt snaps. Just not quite good enough. GC needs to let them play down where they belong in division 2 instead of making the Baytown teams stay together. Still an outside shot at playoffs.
