Some quick historical notes for the PN-G fans out there who are, like myself, so inclined: The Indians' 25 point margin of victory over the Bulldogs is the largest any PN-G team has enjoyed over Nederland since 1992. Through 25 games, Coach Joseph now sports a 21-4 record with the Indians. This is the best start of any PN-G coach to make it to 25 games since Gene McCollum finished his second season with with the Indians 24-1 in 1947. It's the second best start of all time for a PN-G HC. Statistically speaking, he has outperformed even Doug Ethridge and Lew Ford so far (though Ford brought home a state championship ring in his first season, in fairness). I think pngindians.com and Down Trails of Victory make it easier to research PN-G history than it is to do so for any other high school program in Texas. "Daddy's money" is paying dividends. 😎4 points -

My man...you need to find some positive energy and go rally the Ned kids. They are playing hard, giving what they got, and remember, they are 15-18 year old kids. PN-G has had its share of down years. It happens. But, I don't think the Indian faithful would tear down their own kids or take pride in predicting a bad season. That goes against our core values of Honor, Pride, and Tradition. Hit the pause button and go support your kids, encourage them, love them, and thank them for busting their ass for all of our Friday night enjoyment. Go Indians. Peace.3 points

I agree CS might need to do something different with their offense or whatever. Not sure where you got your info from about a CS kid qualifying for the state track meet though. I'm pretty sure that didn't happen and I don't know how impressive it is for a junior to lead the jv in receptions for a run heavy program. You could be right though. Maybe he could have helped the varsity2 points -

Talked to two HCs in the district they both advised the tiebreaker is net points with an 18 point cap Once you go points you stay points If there's a three way tie between BH, LP and PAM 1) BH +11 2) LP -4 3) PAM -7 Port Arthur Memorial is likely going to either Forney or McKinney2 points -

From FB UPDATE: I’m sorry I cannot respond to everyone at this point, and I know his family feels the same overwhelm, so I’m coming here to update! They did a CT scan shortly after he got to Texas Children’s, and that scan showed no broken bones, which we’re thankful for, but there’s still something causing him to not be able to use his lower body, so they will be performing an MRI asap to determine if there’s a spinal cord injury. PLEASE PRAY that this is a “stinger” and not something more complicated! Immediately following the injury, mungy lost almost all feeling and motion below the neck; he never lost consciousness, as this was not a head injury. He was able to respond to us at all times and remained aware of all that was happening. After spending several hours in the triage, he is now able to move his arms, and the dr was encouraged by his upper body strength, given his starting point tonight. The lower body is what’s concerning at this point and we will definitely update as we know more. Please just pray that our boy is good as new asap - tonight has been so so scary, and I cannot imagine how his precious mama is feeling. My adrenaline gave out around Baytown, and I just cried and prayed the rest of the drive. Please continue to pray for the team of doctors that will be treating him and for complete healing over his body - he’s in the best place he can be in, so now we just gotta get him better!2 points -

Correct. It was a horrible freak accident that was caused when the player tried to jump over the bench. There was nothing malicious or intentional. Prayers for this kid!!!2 points -

Yes they were clapping because they had no idea a kid was seriously injured...the silsbee fans didn't know, and the refs obviously didn't either. Silsbee kids came onto the field to line up and play, meanwhile the Bridge City fans were screaming obscenities at them. Once Silsbee understood what was happening, they went to their sideline and prayed for the player. The hit was on the out of bounds line, 5 yards would have been in the Bridge City stands, there is a video of it so lying is pointless. Silsbee is praying that this kid fully recovers.2 points -
For what it’s worth, it doesn’t seem like there was THAT much in the final play. Guy was bringing him down right about on the out of bounds line, two Silsbee guys running in kinda bumped into each other as they were slowing up and then the kid who was making the tackle’s legs took them both out and they ended up falling into the players involved. Seems like the bench was a bigger issue there than anything else.2 points

Great performance by the Eagles tonight and the Coaching staff. BH played some chess tonight by playing a little vanilla in the 1st half. Luckily a couple of Turnovers put us where we wanted to be at half. 2nd half was just an unbelievable job to stop the Titans which usually come out and embarrass teams. Very good win and this will be a wake up call for PAM which will hopefully drive them into and through the playoffs. I hope we both meet again in the playoffs !2 points -
