  2. I want to congratulate PNG on making it to state again! Making it once is tough enough but back to back seasons is special! I know yall are going to bring the whole tribe, and South Dallas is banning together. Should be a great atmosphere. Good luck and safe travels!

  3. An understated benefit of deep runs, and one of the reasons deep runs tend to come in bunches. After this season, PnG will have a full 12 more weeks extra of practices and game experience , over the past two years, than most teams in the state. South Oak Cliff will have 18 extra (over the last 3 seasons) - That’s nearly 2 full regular seasons extra! That experience can really build if underclassmen are taking advantage.

  5. I watched SOC against Midlothian and Lovejoy. Midlothian took a good lead then tried to keep running outside and throwing shirt passes. Didn't work. PN-G will go right at them and rarely throws passes to the line of scrimmage. SOC was not as big as I expected. They have some size but nothing like last year. The d-lines for both Midlothian and Lovejoy were much smaller than what PNG will bring. It will be speed vs size. We will need to play a full 4 quarters of A ball. SOC can get down and still make a run.

  6. Like I've been saying, keep eating what y'all been eating. On the first play let them know they are playing a team from Southeast Texas and don't let up on the gas. Make us proud Indians.

  7. Gonna be a helluva game!!! It will be won or lost in the trenches. Can PNG stop the dynamic running attack of SOC? Can PNGs o-line keep SOC d line pushed back enough to open gaps for Nguyen and Chatangier? Can PNG secondary stop SOC? Can PNG receivers win the one on one battles that SOC loading the box is going to create? Can PNG line hold up against the rush that is going to be coming on passing downs? I can't wait to find out the answers to these questions!!!! GO PNG!!!!

  15. For the record and someone correct me if I’m wrong… Kountze has one kid that moved in from Beaumont… The kid from Warren went to Kountze most of his life and moved back this year. The good freshman has been in Kountze. It’s not like the transfer portal in college lol

Cowboys dominate the eagles from start to finish…defense didn’t give up a TD to last year MVP impressive. But let’s hear those excuses haters…

  20. Thank you very much to the Orangefield coaches, staff and community for a great tournament. Onalaska got exactly what we needed out of it by playing real competition in one of the best areas in the state for basketball. Great preparation for district play next week for our program.

  26. I'm only here until my flight leaves for St. Lucia tomorrow. As pitiful as this season was I figured I might as well spend a week taking it out on some Wahoo and hitting some golf balls in the ocean. My old lady is from Oak Cliff and her nephew plays for Duncanville so I've been getting the treatment at the house all bleeping year, smh.

  27. Watching SOC on YouTube. The RB #21 Green is quick and elusive. Yikes. Not the biggest guy, but he can take a pop and bounce off tacklers. PN-G has seen some good RBs this season, but I don't think the Indians have seen anyone with his combination of quickness, vision, and the ability to slip away from tacklers. The SOC QB #18 reminds me of PN-G's #9...cool under pressure and making the right reads and throws. #18 can sling it. SOC defense is fast at all three levels, but I think PN-G's OL will be able to create some running lanes. The game will come down to PN-G stopping the run and PN-G winning some one-on-one battles in the passing game when SOC loads the box. Stopping the run is easier said than done. SOC has some DUDES on the OL and #21 zips right through their lanes. They are playing well. Glad PN-G has a shot to play the last 5A-DII game of the year and taking a shot at the defending champs. We've got a shot...what more can you ask for? Should be a good game. Tip of the cap to SOC coaching staff...they lost 11 scholarship kids from last season and they are back at the top, in the state championship. Impressive. P.S. One more thing. No turnovers this year. The Indians need to hold on to the ball. No safeties this year.

  35. Personally, I would love to see a rematch. Lots of opportunities: 1. Alabama prove game 1 was early in the season before they got it all figured out, and they really did deserve to be in the top 4 or 2. Texas prove they are better than Bama and game 1 wasn't an anomaly. Either way, Its' gonna be a damn dogfight if those two face off again.

  39. Whitmire is a great coach and we are very glad to have him and his family who by the way are all at every game. Maybe he has done more with less in the past, but he has real talent here in Orangefield right now and there is more on the way coming from the JH groups. Our big 4 (Scales, Wrinkle, Smith, & Thomas) are shooting the ball 38.8% on the season as a team from three and are over. 50% from two, which is a testament to their level of talent as players. Scales is being face-guarded and the others are making the opposition pay for their gamble by knocking down open looks and capitalizing on their own mismatches. That should always be the plan, but can only be done when you have the talent to do so. Bobcat basketball has for sure been battle tested in these last two tournaments this weekend and last, and Whitmire's knowledge for the game and motivational skills have no doubt been on display! Even though they are back to back Tournament Champions and (Big Sandy, & Bill Tennison), and have beaten several good teams, their most impressive victory probably comes in their overcoming a 10 point deficit with about 1:20 left on the clock in the fourth vs. Lamarque in the Semi this past weekend. That takes both excellent coaching strategy and talented execution. I hope to see you at some games this year. I'm biased, but they are a real fun group to watch and I know you don't mind stating the truth in what you see.

  42. Until Harris Co. gets rid of their County Judge, Lina Hidalgo, Houston and Harris Co. will continue to be a lawless, crime ridden corrupt cesspool. She hates Law Enforcement and won't prosecute hard core criminals. That, and she herself is fully corrupt. Here is a small sample. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]

    2023 Dallas Cowboys

Certainly individual accomplishments don’t necessarily help a team but in the last couple of weeks the Cowboys have had two players set all-time NFL records. DaRon Bland now holds the record for the most interceptions returned for a touchdown in a single season at 5 (and counting). Brandon Aubrey now holds the all-time NFL record for the most consecutive field goals to start a career with 21 (and counting)

  47. LOL, cites "LH (without top 2 RBs) losing in State Semi-Finals as evidence of offense not working. Ignores that LH is the top scoring offense in 5A, ignores that Franklin won back-to-back State Championships and set the all-time record for points in a season. Does not cite the hundreds/thousands of teams running the spread that did not make it to the State Semifinals or in some cases did not win a single game. Does not really know the size of other teams OL. Believes spread offense is better suited for "small OL".
