  1. New Waverly vs Coldspring game will be very telling on how for real New Waverly will be in the district playoff mix. Onalaska vs Tarkington will be a very tough contested game. Could easily see that game coming down to who has the ball last with a win at the buzzer. really interested in how the EC vs Kountze game goes I bet that will be super fun game.

  3. Decent. Been playing pretty good of late. Won the East Chambers tournament. #5 is a very good guard. I would say top 5 player in district. I would put the line at Silsbee -26

  10. If nothing negative was meant, then you have my sincerest apology. I'm sorry I took the post the wrong way. I do personally know some folks who have inside information on things sometimes, but I wouldnt want to lose their trust by sharing anything they tell me in confidence. On this particular "AD/HC Situation" I can just say that I believe it will be filled quickly since there is an immediate need to fill the role.

  13. No shots. Just have a good idea and info. you're in the know around OF without speculation on here. I do agree that was a great move but the admin on the community survey and hearsay says there's a bunch of great candidates Didn't know this could trigger such a childish reaction With the "taking shots" comment

Well, I’m over my throwing up now. What a game. Texas has nothing to be ashamed of. Penix completed 76% of his passes. I would have thought it was more like 90%. Texas never gave up. Came down to the last play. Hook ‘Em

  15. I can tell you at one time in the NCAA(90's) it was illegal to match gloves to opponent's jerseys. I know this because we wore green gloves against Baylor and we were made to change them. However, there is not restriction on color now. I assume that changed after the grey glove rule. If you can afford to buy gloves that match your opponents, more power to you. I could not afford an extra $250-300 dollars on gloves. There are a lot of equipment rules that are not enforced. Here is the big one. Knee Pads. Knee pads must be covered by pants. Furthermore, the pants and knee pads must cover the knees. No pads or protective equipment may be worn outside the pants. I have asked the officials about this and they tell me they are not the uniform police.

  16. As a Texas fan, I’m honestly not too upset. Washington was the better team, and Texas shot themselves in the foot over and over again. This year was still a huge success, and a lot of fun

I think you are spot on with your statement. I would be beyond mad if I were a lions fan, but I’m not. I’m a COWBOYS fan and have gone through this before when the nfl didn’t know what a catch was. Dez caught it!!! Must beat the redskins to get to 12-5, and lock up the 2seed. GO COWBOYS!!!

    2023 Dallas Cowboys

Here is something that I have wondered about. Everyone has seen the video but we have no audio. All of the conclusions say, 68 must’ve reported because he was by the ref. So were two others, however, including 70. If we look closely at the video, the referee appears to be looking at 70 jogging toward him almost the entire time. All we are left with is two people, accusing each other. There appears to be absolutely no proof of either side of the story. However….. It has been reported that the referee went to Dallas and reported that 70 was a designated receiver. If that was true, even if that had been a mistake, should the play be allowed to stand? An example is that I’ve seen this from high school to the pros, if a referee has an inadvertent whistle, the play ends. They don’t speculate and play what if but the referees mistake negates anything in the future. We may have seen plays in the past, and I remember a couple, where a person broke into the open but the referee blew the whistle. They cannot speculate on what might have happened. If the referee makes a mistake, nothing after the mistake can go forward. So if 68 actually reported to the ref but the ref went to Dallas and mistakenly said it was 70, should the play go forward? Dallas could legitimately say, we did not line up to cover 68 because he should not have been an eligible receiver. The stuff that Campbell said about drawing up the play before the game on notifying the officials, which apparently is routine, should be meaningless within the rules. I imagine that’s just to give the referees a heads up of what “might” happen because what if Campbell wanted to run the exact play that he showed the referees before the game, but changed his mind and use a different lineman as a receiver? His excuse of, I told him before the game what might be coming… So what? Is his play calling limited to what he told the referees before the game? That would be ludicrous.

  35. Violations occur all the time. Even by moderators. I'm not admitting anything was violated. Just someones opinion. I may have to start making copies of violations, including moderators. This "selective" concern has been a problem here. I already have a copy of 2 moderators and a non-moderator violating the "stay on topic" rule but only the non-moderator got "warned." At this time I have chose not to do anything with this difference in treatment. Was this subject locked because of violations, which again, happens all the time, or because the moderator was being called out for being guilty of rule violations himself? Again, not picking on one: all moderators have been guilty of rule violations. @AggiesAreWe

  36. If u feel that members/mods have broken the rules, there is a report button. That is the extent of your responsibility for the policing the forum. With that being said... the topic has been locked without any reason given. And this is acceptable. There are several reasons for locking that particular discussion. I would've done the same thing. Thank you for your continued contributions to the site. Carry on... 🔒

  44. What politics would make Coach Joseph and Coach Todd to both agree to a Fort Worth crew led by Bill Theodore for their 2022 game? I know Coach Todd pretty well and he doesnt strike me as the kind of guy who plays politics in the least..and I would think the same applies to Coach Joseph if he's like his Dad

  45. Buna just hired one in girls hoops who had a very poor record at his previous school. He wasn’t a popular hire for that reason, understandably. I contended he was a very good hire because I know the young man, his passion, his character, and his tremendous knowledge of the game. In his first year, I would say he’s done a very good job by virtually all accounts. And it will only get better as he and his girls grow. So sometimes, those Ws and Ls can be misleading. in point of fact, Nick Saban has a losing record in the nfl. What a hack 😉
