  1. Anyway, back to Nederland. Rich seems to be putting in a more structured weight program. Hopefully he has someone come and teach proper technique and lifts, actually be an example. Nederland seemed to have higher than normal injuries and cramping than any team they played, consistently

  2. I’m gonna preach this one more time and then I’ll get off my soap box. The foundation of a successful high school or collegiate football program is a top notch strength and conditioning regimen. These Katy guys seem to understand that really well.

  3. Final playoff spots have to be played. In regards to seeding games (#1, 2, 3) there are multiple options. First and most used option is play the game. Winner gets the higher seed. Coaches can agree to simply flip a coin. This can be done two different ways. The winner of the flip gets the higher seed (1 over 2 etc.). Or the winner of the flip can choose the seed it prefers out of the two being flipped for. The other option is one of the teams can concede the seed to the other. This has happened a few times when a coach thinks taking the lower seed is a better route for his team in the playoffs. Now there are some districts (not all) that require two teams tied for #1 seed to play the game. Other options are not available. I do not know if 22-3A is one of those districts. I see Kountze and Orangefield playing but can see both agreeing to a coin flip. One things for sure. If one coach wants to play and the other does not, then the coach that doesn't want to play has to concede the seed.

  5. I kinda feel like the whole scheduling argument is mute… can it possibly help prepare you for facing more difficult teams in district and the playoffs? It couldn’t hurt… but at the end of the day if you got the team to win then you got the team to win… Not one team Bellville played in non district made the playoffs last year for the record. Franklin isn’t winning state championships or having success due to scheduling…. It’s because they just have the talent and coaching and are just good lol

  8. Certainly they could throw it wide open and not deal with “the issue”, don’t get involve at all and let the best man (or woman) win in a completely open and fair selection. However…. Do you believe that the DNC insiders are not going to be heavily involved in picking the candidate? Ponder this, who gets all of the delegates that Biden has already compiled? Does Biden simply release them? What about the super delegates? And all of this to get around Harris so as not to seem prejudiced…. although I have no clue why they can’t simply point out that her approval is as bad as his, she got beaten so badly in 2020 that she was the first declared candidate to drop out of the Democrat primary. You could be correct but I don’t think that the DNC is going to stand by and simply let history take its course in a completely fair remainder of the primary. Unbind all of the delegates to date and then get out of the way. Maybe you have more faith in the DNC and a sudden change of fairness.

  9. Of course this is my opinion but I see the right for lethal force. attacking officers We re talking about migrants who come from unstable countries where law and order is uncommon. I ve lived in one of these countries….i ve seen it first hand. stop with the soft approach

  10. I spoke about that in the other threads. If they are going to make a change, it has to be pretty quick now. Like LBJ in ‘68, Biden will have to suspend his campaign since he is already running and gotten most of the primary/caucus votes. Like LBJ, Biden’s approval rating is horrendous. Unlike LBJ who I believe shocked the electorate, Biden bowing out will not.

  17. Are you suggesting that me putting lines on games is "bulletin board" material? I have been doing this for years and never had any complaints. Heck, people are always asking me to post them. Nobody here should take my lines personally. BTW, me having Kountze as 8 point favorites shouldn't rile anyone.

  18. I haven’t read where any posts were directed negatively towards the kids or coaches. AAW or myself would have deleted those post(s) immediately. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Ch Chu was making references to the fans on this board who were predicting a Kountze win and some predicting a large margin. Since I haven’t lived in the area in over ten years, this was the first time I’ve been in the OF gym to watch the boys play in probably a good 10+ years. The game was awesome! Both teams played really well and with great sportsmanship. I hope I can be at next one between the two.

  19. Just because the kids are better at basketball, doesn’t mean it’s not still a poor district. And for me, it’s more the kind of music than the sound system anyway. And if that didn’t make me sound old enough, it IS too loud for me, even if it was music I actually enjoy. But that’s just the way it is most places now days I suppose. On the up side, come to Lamar games. They’re still rocking YMCA and Cotton Eyed Joe 😂🤣

  21. Coach Whitmire informed me of that last night before the game. I told him he had to make amends for that only loss. Otherwise his team was bringing down the program. I believe he did just that.
