  6. That's even better geographically and financially for the districts involved. You need to contact the UIL and volunteer to serve on the realignment committee. The current committee is like you said, dumb or blind, or both.

  8. DISTRICT 9 Barbers Hill, Baytown Sterling, Beaumont United, Beaumont Westbrook, Crosby, Galveston Ball, La Porte, Port Arthur Memorial. DISTRICT 10 Galena Park, Houston Spring Woods, Houston Austin, Houston Madison, Houston Milby, Houston Sharpstown, Houston Sterling, Houston Waltrip, and Houston Westbury. DISTRICT 11 Angleton, Fort Bend Kempner, Friendswood, Kingwood Park, Lufkin, New Caney Porter, and Pasadena. What's wrong with these district set-ups? Two nine-team districts and one seven team district. I agree with Austin85...why have Lufkin pass up KP and NCP on Highway 59 to play in District 9? The drive to/from Angleton and Lufkin would not be fun, but it's doable.

  9. Probably not much. Lufkin will take over Angleton's district schedule.

  14. Fake news!! Trumps attorney, Alina Habba, is on record, I watched her say it, that the judge WOULD NOT ALLOW this to be tried by a jury. She said they did not have an option! This falls in line with what this judge said in, I think it was 2015, that jury's, and I'm paraphrasing, should not be allowed to make decisions. That the judge knows more and should be the one making the final decision. It's my understanding that in order to be able to do this he had to use residential fraud. Well, any sane person knows Trump's situation is commercial. And I'll ask you again: Who was it that filed a suit against Trump claiming fraud? No one! The big bank that Trump dealt with testified they were good customers. Paid loans back on time. And who would this money he's supposed to pay go to if no one claimed they were hurt? It's like filing murder charges against someone when there is not a body!!

  15. [Hidden Content] I guess it's entertainment for the dopey Trump haters. From the article: This past week Judge Arthur Engoron of New York State Supreme Court, the lowest level of courts of general jurisdiction, levied a mammoth fine of some $370 million, including interest, against Donald Trump for purported fraud under a New York statute. The term fraud is used loosely since no one was defrauded, an element of a cause of action under common law fraud, and no one was harmed, also an element, and there was no proof of reliance, another element. This is fraud "in the air," as the saying goes: no harm by no one against no one for no loss by anyone. No one testified that they lost a penny from the purported fraud, or that they would not have wanted to deal with Trump as a customer. No one came forward to complain, except Attorney General Letitia James. But more about this modern-day Torquemada later in this column.

  16. Why wouldn’t they just switch Crosby with Lufkin? Or would that make too much sense?

  17. 7A is not the cure all some people seem to think. I saw a mock realignment on some board for 7A and it was a joke, although I'm sure the author did the best he could. What I saw was some districts would have 9-10 members, others might just have 4 and awful travel. It's the same reason, 6A won't agree to pre split. The UIL opened a can of worms when they bought this up without doing an analysis including a mock realignment. You could say it's unfair to some scjools to play bigger schools, but you could also say it;s unfair for a 4 team district to send everybody to the playoffs while you are in a 10 team district that less than half qualify. The UIL said last summer that they would consider 7A when another 100 schools were added to the approximately 500 schools now in 5A and 6A without changing the bottom of 5A much. This could take decades.

  18. Let’s go!!! Don’t really care one way or the other, but find it more interesting playing Lufkin .

  19. When a kid transfers to a school the coaches are supposed to start paperwork to see if they are eligible and know that if they play ineligible players they have to forfeit those wins. They all KNOW that. The fact that they played them and tried at the last minute to clear them looks like they got caught cheating and tried to clean up their mess. Bottom line it's the coach and AD's fault. I only feel bad for the other players on the team.

  31. They have now beat 2 of the top 5 conference teams on the road (tonight and Nicholls). Have lost to two bad teams on the road HCU and UIW but responded well this weekend with this one and Saturday’s blowout of UNO. And both the Nicholls win and this one were in OT. Always encouraging to win those kinds of games in hostile environments.

  43. Grown men spreading rumors. The same kids played all year long and were eligible per UIL rules. Upping further scrutiny by the UIL one of the transfers paperwork has not been done correctly making him ineligible. Typically the UIL doesn’t review transfers late in the season to avoid this type of situation and the heartbreak it causes the kids. Apparently they are about to start. Coach Egans has coached in Crosby for 20+ years and has always followed protocol. Ruining his integrity now makes zero sense.

  44. I get that. But whose to say this could have been a clerical error? He may have been told they were eligible. I do not know how Crosby handles their business in regards to eligibility. The coach may or may not have actually known. But, the bottom line is it does fall back on the coach and the admins.
