Playing McNeese tonight who is winless in conference. Looking to wrap up one of the top two seeds then you only need two wins in the conference tournament to go to the NCAA tournament. Ranked #32 in the mid major poll this week.

He borrowed money from institutions that were happy to lend it to him and paid them all back. It’s a shame we want to make a criminal of him and allow the deadbeats that stole money from the American taxpayers to pay off their college debt with no consequences.

Just realized Palestine is Adrian Peterson's hometown. Definitely some good athletic genes over that way. Glad Texan Live is doing this one. Nobody who has a job they'll be getting off from is gonna feel like trying to make it to Nacogdoches by 6:30 on a Thursday. I agree. The game was close enough that it wasn't necessary to shoot that many three's. Speaking of those three's, it was not just the fact they missed 25 of them and only making one but it was how they missed them. I am pretty sure 10-12 of those misses never touched the rim. At least 7-8 of them were complete airballs and some only hit the backboard, never touching the rim. It was atrocious. Like I said, it was some very ugly basketball.

I would have preferred Nederland be one of the away games, to get either Huntsville, Dayton, or West Fork at home. As it is, we get both Montgomery schools at home. Regardless of travel, this is a tough schedule. Preseason, I could see us going 1-2. La Porte, MLC, and Huntsville all in a row is going to be like a playoff run. And, Klein Oak looks like they’ll have some serious size and strength. First five weeks will be a murderers’ row, not counting BU - Who knows what they‘ll be next year, but if I had to guess I’d say “not good” until they have a new coach. West Fork, Nederland, and Montgomery are wild cards. I think Dayton and Splendora won’t make much noise. West Fork: New schools are always intriguing. Sometimes they go straight to being good. Nederland: New coach, determined to get back into the mix. Montgomery: I don’t know much about them, other than we played them in the playoffs in ‘21 and ‘22. They strike me as always being at least pretty good. Hunstville and MLC are both returning talent from last year, and we saw how good they were. If Lake Creek had beaten us, I think they could have come away with a state championship. We’ll be good too, I think. But, this is going to be an exciting district.

Beginning to lose interest seeing how this opening continues to drag on.

Kountze felt that way in game 2 when Sells fouled out. Turnovers Kountze 10 Orangefield 17 Fouls Kountze 14 Orangefield 13 Fouls were about even. And refs were not bad but did miss calls on both sides. It came down to holding Scales to 7 points.
