I’m sure an improvement from last year, looking more forward to the 2-3 years on a plan full offseason workout and culture change. positive note I’m hearing all the kids are really buying into the program and perfect attendance to everyone showing up for the before and after school workouts.

Hancock had zero people skills always running his players in the ground getting into it with the players parents as well as the fans ! very negative and verbal abusive guy. He won a lot of games because Stewart was in the back ground babysitting even during live games he would give Hancock hand signals on what to do and laugh at him while saying how dumb he was while talking to liltex and me,

Hancok then Nations both incompetent assistant coaches from the Stewart era. Then coach Ware ( buddy of Jeff Nation ,assistant coach New Caney) the best of the three but half assed it his last year since he had another job lined up.

A parent can’t move their child for whatever reason they see fit…my point is because parents decide to do so doesn’t mean the coaches at that particular program recruited the kid, like Cougar is wanting y’all to believe.

I’m familiar with that story and the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. I don’t trust any of them and we have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. But this is as ugly as I can recall.

I didn't early vote because I haven't studied all of the candidates for ALL seats well enough to make an informed decision. It's hard to cut through all the BS to make an informed decision.

My post should have read one who is “not” programmed, but most of you can read between the lines and know what was meant. i appreciate your four paragraph response, but what I said is how I feel. Look at one of the first communist policies….. it’s socialized medicine. Once they have you under that umbrella, you’re toast. Call me crazy, stupid, an idiot…. Doesn’t matter. There is not one Democratic policy that I agree with. It’s totally the reason their campaigns don’t run on them. All it is is smear, or in this case arrest, your opponent because you can’t even sell yourself or your beliefs/policies to the people.

Well you don’t because it was stated that several of those 20 kids were at the feeder middle schools but went to different HS. Also mentioned how several of those 20 played JV the whole year and got moved up for the playoffs. So I think your math a little off bud, yall want to throw the recruiting/transfer talk around on NS so much yall ignore the facts. GPISD just proved to all the dumb asses on here that’s been saying they recruit for years, that they’ve been winning with homegrown talent from the feeder schools. As I’ve stated on here on numerous occasions. Do they get transfers? OF COURSE you do especially when you’re at a school with a high mobility rate surrounded by a bunch of apartments. They also did the numbers on the mobility rate at the freshman campus: The school in total had 177 transfers only 8 of those were football players. Stop the hating people it’s a bad look.

After watching them in person last night I didn’t think they were as good as advertised as a whole. We were supposed to get blown out and sure we lost by 21 but we had our absolute worst game of the year from a shooting stand point and you might say it was because of the defense but really it wasn’t. We missed wide open 3’s time and time again. And just like I suspected they shot 12 more free throws than we did thanks to one particular ref. All that being said, as long as #5 came from Kountze the rest of the kids really don’t matter. Sure some kids had a few rebounds and put backs and made a few buckets here and there. But that’s stuff any halfway talented big can do. #5 was by far the best player on the court for either team and they will go as far as he can take them. Very impressed with how savvy he was with the basketball. That kid is the catalyst for that team and much props to him. Congrats to Kountze and good luck!

A few things from Lake Worth 1) their top returning player who was the district MVP transferred out during the summer (was ruled ineligible and didnt play his senior year) 2) Prieto was hired the Friday before Memorial Day, tough to really implement things getting hired that late

Dudes shopping kids and programs looking for kids has reached critical mass. I completely understand the desire to win but actively going out and poaching players from other schools is wrong. Penalties need to be extremely harsh if proven true.

I personally don’t think he’s in trouble. I think he’s done the best he can and generally put forth a very conservative platform. The cries about cooperation with the democrats confuse me; shouldn’t politicians from both sides attempt to work together? Shouldn’t politicians from both sides be at least congenial and vote for what is best for the state / country? What happened to common sense? Close the border, cut back on taxes - across the board.
