Lady Cards beat A&M Commerce on the road 74-58 to get some revenge for their only conference loss of the year. Meanwhile, the UIW CARDS beat Southeastern LA by a score of 53-51. This gives Lamar a two game lead over SE LA with two to play. Lamar swept SE LA during the regular season so this should give the Lady Cards the #1 seed and the conference title. Congrats Lady Cards now 21-5 and 15-1.

Well -- the "newcomers" didn't get a very warm welcome when they "new came" to Martha's Vineyard! LOL!! Or, as a matter of fact, to any sanctuary city. HA!!!!

Personally I think you can just due to the fact that he got the job because he was in the click and by the time he was run off there were less than 30 kids on varsity and would have been less than that the following year. IMO what success he did have was because of the remnants from the Stewart era. No one wanted to play for him (as was shown in his next job) so it was going downhill. But you got your opinion I got mine…… to each their own.

A few things from Lake Worth 1) their top returning player who was the district MVP transferred out during the summer (was ruled ineligible and didnt play his senior year) 2) Prieto was hired the Friday before Memorial Day, tough to really implement things getting hired that late

I look at it as a toss up between Dayton and Nederland for the fourth spot. Dayton has a more proven coach, but I (perhaps naively) refuse to not think Nederland is a good coach away from putting things together. But, I’d still give an edge to Dayton. They were a more complete team than Nederland last year and are returning some key pieces. Nederland won an “anybody’s game” matchup with them. Add Prieto and the coin weighs more toward Dayton (and not just against Nederland). And, just my two cents: I have trouble choosing between LC or PNG for first place. PNG was better last year, overall, but only slightly. LC brings back a stud QB and who knows who else. And, there’s hardly any margin for error. We could reasonably drop the first two of district and be fighting for third.

Compared to what Dayton has hired the last 3 times they have. 😂😂

I disagree with this wording. That implies the horns sort of gave up. The truth of the matter is they had 5 players, no bench help at all imo, appeared to give it everything they had, but silsbee made more plays, especially Harris at the end and Elam throughout. With no bench or true post, defeating the Tigers isn’t going to happen. It was a fun game and great effort but I wouldn’t imply that those 5 nor the staff “communally agreed” to give up. Harris just took over, which is what one would expect a Memphis commit to do in such settings.

Chapel Hill has played a mostly weak schedule. Not saying upsets can't happen (Anna took down Fort Worth Eastern Hills), but it'll take a minor miracle for them to beat BTW.
