  1. Adams and McCain were 44-0 in district play on the court. Officially 43-1 due to forfeit that both teams (LC-M and Silsbee) received for that game. Since the 2015 season (last 10 seasons) Silsbee has a overall district record (on the court) of 111-5 with 2 of those losses due to JV having to play. Theoretically the Tigers should be 113-3 with one loss to Lumberton in 2021 and two losses to Hardin-Jefferson in 2015 and 2020. Silsbee split with HJ those two years and ended up beating them each time in #1 seed game. 10 years of district dominance.

  5. Is the failure (as noted by BS Wildcats) the person who has the constitutional right to complain or the legal body that issues a ruling that clearly is unconstitutional? In this case we have a 91 year old former Republican lawmaker who was butt hurt over January 6 and made the sole determination that it was unconstitutional for Trump to be on the ballot. Like you, she was likely blinded by her anyone but Trump hatred but that is a protected right. This supposedly famed Colorado (first woman state leader) Republican in the article that you posted said that the Founding Fathers contemplated a candidate like Trump. She knew he was ineligible to run again. (quoted from the article) “She knew!!!” The Founding Fathers?? This doddering old fool has apparently lost enough of her marbles that she forgot that the Fourteenth Amendment came out after the Civil War as a response to civil rights for Blacks almost 100 years after independence was declared and the Founding Fathers have long since left the Earth. With this brilliant insight into the Constitution and history, she solely made the determination that Trump was ineligible. Utterly brilliant!! Of course she still has enough beans rattling around in her brain to know that her absolute knowledge of the Constitution had to be upheld by the Colorado Supreme Court. So who is the on the Colorado Supreme Court and how are they selected? A Colorado Supreme Court justice is selected by the governor of Colorado. So the only way to be appointed as a Colorado Supreme Court justice, the sitting governor has to make the appointment. They each later face a 10 year term for reelection by the public in a general election. All current Colorado Supreme Court justices were appointed by Democrats. Some? A majority perhaps? Nope, the entire Colorado Supreme Court was appointed by a Democrat governor. So again, who owns the failure? A person who complains like this old biddy that deemed herself as a constitutional scholar and out to (again from the article) save the Democracy or the duly constituted body who by law is supposed to make decision based on the US Constitution? Sorry but this falls squarely on the constitutional body who was selected by the Democratic governors. A body who a unanimous US Supreme Court slapped down because they collectively couldn’t understand this section from the Fourteenth Amendment: Section 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article. Again, it doesn’t say a state legislature, a state Supreme Court, a state attorney general, an old woman who thinks that the Founding Fathers were still around after the Civil War or anyone else other than Congress. BS Wildcats was 100% correct. It wasn’t an old Republican lawmaker who has the First Amendment constitutional right to free speech and also the First Amendment right to redress the government for grievances. It was the 100% Democratic Supreme Court of Colorado who could not understand a single sentence and in particular a single word, “Congress”.

  6. Most importantly, as long as they split the last two, they get the first round bye (they hold the tiebreaker over Southeastern, having beaten them twice). And if they catch Nicholls, they also hold the tiebreaker and will give them the 3rd seed. To be honest, I’m not sure I wouldn’t rather have the 3rd and get McNeese in the Semis because the finals will be a crazier atmosphere in LC. And I think we match up just as well, if not better, with them as with Corpus. And I will say in terms of the criticism herein, Lamar is winning close games (3-0 in OT games this year - in my experience coaching is huge in those), due in no small part to end of game adjustments/coaching.

  8. So no responsibility goes to the voters. so it takes something like this to get people to change their vote……knowing that they are electing a liberal and knowing her stance on issues. It s not a surprise. if citizens had voted for the other person they wouldn’t be dealing with this. Had they used some common sense instead of TDS to dictate their vote they wouldn’t be dealing with this.

  11. The band and band parents are very important. Having them seated so far away completely takes them out of the view of the parents who care very much. The football experience is more than just the game. It is the band, drill teams, twirlers, inflaters, cheer leaders, etc. I think bands can influence momentum of a game. On another note, I am STOKED to see what the Coach Rich can do with Nederland!!!! I'll be happy to be competitive this year!!!! I can't WAIT for football season!!!

  12. Kinda crazy that the most likely championship matchup would be a 38-1 Stony Point team vs. a 39-0 Plano East team, with the only loss between the two being Stony Point's 5-point loss when the two teams met head to head before district play.

  15. I find it funny that people will let the vp determine their vote. Especially if said person is influenced by sex and or race. To me that’s a sign maybe you shouldn’t vote cause your definitely a low info voter. But when you raise lazy uncaring unintelligent undisciplined individuals this is what we get… along with a system that feeds and encourages such ways. Very pathetic that that is the game we have to play for such a critical role in the leader of this Great country. The heck with policies “he picked a female vp and since I’m a female I ll vote for him” or he/she is black I’m voting for him”. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ And this goes for Rs,Ds,I s/Ms Is there any REAL adults out there

  17. They went 9-3 in district their freshmen year (2021). Lost to LC-M and Vidor because JV had to play those games due to Covid protocol and then lost to Lumberton coming out of the protocol. 4 year district record is 45-3. They have won 39 straight district games.

  26. There was one article that I saw on another forum that said, Ketanji Brown Jackson sides with Trump. No, she sided with the Constitution. If anyone wants some entertainment, look at some of the news articles or videos of the left coming unhinged that the Supreme Court didn’t rule against the Constitution and then did so in unanimous fashion.

  29. That is what I was referring to with Gabbard. It should not be a person that anyone thinks can truly be the next president if needed but the person who can win the election. It doesn’t always work that way as the candidates or their handlers don’t always seem to be the politically most intelligent. I think it’s because most of them do not live inside the real world. Like Ramaswamy, Lake would be a Trump clone except a female. I am not against that, but what was she bring to the table other than her sex? Nothing except a long shot at winning AZ.

  30. [Hidden Content] From the article: Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold expressed "disappointment" Monday at the Supreme Court's 9-0 decision that her state cannot bar former President Trump from appearing on the ballot in 2024, saying it was now up to voters to "save our democracy." It was always up to the voters, which is also terrifying.

  34. I just thought looking at the schedule that an outsider looking at the SA schedule would think the two teams who will likely lose are the favorites, since FF and Silsbee have the worst records. Just goes to show you for elite teams, playing those tough non-district schedules are crucial. Especially for Silsbee who has a difficult time getting any kind of test in district. Honestly think the two teams FF and Silsbee beat in the regional finals may be the third and fourth best teams in 4A.

  37. We are living in the Golden Ages of SETX basketball. I dont know a time in history where you've had Silsbee and Beaumont make it to state so often. I think Ozen and Kountze went together a time or 2. Silsbee and United both made it 2 years ago. San Antonio will be packed with families from the 409.

  39. By the way, how many coaches in our coverage area have gone to 4 state tournaments in a row? We praise certain coaches in this area (and not undeservingly) but some of us act like it’s just making substitutions for Green and Sigler. Those guys are both no brainer hall of famers who deserve to be at the top of any list you want to make regarding basketball coaches in this area or the state.
