(Those that are in the know…know) They re able to connect to players and manage those d1 egos and know who should play where and when giving certain situations in game. tremaine just turned around a bottom dweller team in the Corpus Christi area to a playoff contender in one year. yes having athletes make it a lil easier but when you repeat to state 4 years in a row coaching is a huge part of that. Your last comment is ridiculous….there is more to coaching than just throwing athletes in defensive and offensive sets. So if I’m reading this correctly, regarding baseball, 2A will be split into big school/small school, and 1A will remain the same. So there will be a 1A state champion, 2A small school and 2A big school champion in baseball. There are no 1A districts, so 6 teams going into 3 different classifications from 2A districts. So conceivably, 24-2A for example could have three state champions: 1A - Chester, 2A/Sm - Colmesneil, and 2/Lg - West Sabine.
