Trump has a floor around 40%… meaning that he will always have 40% of the votes, no matter what. That number is almost identical to the one that the dem nominee will enjoy. Somewhere around 40% of voters will vote for the D candidate “no matter what.” The difference is that Trump’s ceiling is around 46-47%… meaning that no matter what he does, he will never enjoy more support from voters than that. Kamala’s ceiling is probably in the low 50s… meaning if she plays her cards right, she could potentially end up with that percentage of all voters… an easy win.
I don’t know if you saw, but Rogan endorsed Kennedy this week. It’s surprising because he’s been a long time Trump supporter. Asked why, he said that he’s just tired of all of the hatred from both sides, but specifically from Trump.
The real problem is the same as it’s always been… trump is emboldened by his supporters to behave poorly. They don’t just condone his repulsive behavior, they support it. But that’s a powerful motivator for people who don’t like Trump. People didn’t vote for Biden, they voted against Trump. It doesn’t even matter what Harris does or doesn’t do… Trump‘s behavior, words, actions, and personality will make sure that people turn out to vote against Trump.
Don’t blame people who won’t overlook bad behavior as the problem, when the actual problem is the behavior itself.
The border, inflation, wars, socialist policies, etc… there at a ton of things that would seem to be bad for Harris… but at the end of the day, she’s not Trump… and that’s enough.
But we knew this going in, and we re-nominated him anyways. People who voted for trump in the primaries hoping that other people would abandon their morals/principles to vote trump was just stupid.
