You are so right, more like 17 to 10 ether way and if that coaching staff hasn't gotten any better, your looking at possibly at 0 4 start of the season and the firing of that entire coaching staff. 2 - 3 again at best in the first 5! Those kids deserve better. Now they wanna go to the old ways. Why did you go away from the old ways in the first place? You can't take a Ferrari engine out and put a go cart engine in and still expect to win the Formula 1 Grand prix championship. And sit there a blame on the car when you don't win. My point is this is not about a talent dropp the last 2 years when the coaching staff getting out coached in the second half and losing winnable games. A entire new system didn't need to be put in when you ready had a good system to go on and tweak some. OK, I watched Ned and WB scrimmage. Ned is a 100% better coached team, on offense and defense. On defense they ran to the ball; was very aggressive. The new offense, I think, will be good for the QB and TB. I was also impressed with the backup QB's throwing ability. Now WB: nothing has changed. They do have the talent. But, I don't see anything different from what I saw last year, coaching wise. I'll leave it at that.

I've been reminded there was a lot of copy cats on the pickems last season. You can send them directly to me thru the PM or request them to be hidden. It's easy to put "PLEASE HIDE" at the top of your picks. This can be done by any Mod. But there could be a delay if no Mod is on to see. I hope this can help. If anyone else has an idea I'm open to suggestions.

Prieto having coached at both team and his proven track record of having taken Crosby to the state championship makes this one even more interesting.

Neeerland defense is legit. Probably the best LB core in the area. Lumberton will struggle all night trying to move the ball. Debuts for both head coaches will have both teams hyped out of the gate but no way I see Lumberton scoring twice unless against the backups in a blowout. Even then though, I don’t see it. Nederland 41-0. 7/7 in extra points is tough in HS.

He’s 78, pretty sure. But you have to admit that he’s not looking too hot these days. The campaign, the legal problems, marital problems, judgments, a new energetic opponent who’s just swooped by him into the lead, the assassination attempt…. He just looks like a shadow of himself in the last two weeks or so. Name calling isn’t getting it done in 2024.
