Tax Cuts Will Spur Economic Growth!
Reagan and one other reacted to LumRaiderFan for a topic
Sure, anytime you take from the American taxpayers, it makes the pot bigger. I believe you would have created more wealth leaving that money in the private sector, the government slush fund creates no wealth. Cut spending, cuts taxes, shut down entitlements at the federal level, this is their only way to stop the spiral we’re in. You do realize the Clintons wanted to spend massive amounts of money on Hillarycare, don’t you? He was no fiscal conservative, was dragged kicking and screaming into welfare reform, and decided to cut the most important thing the federal government should be taking care of, the military. Tax increases are never good, cutting spending is always good.2 points -

From what I saw on the FB stream it looked packed. And considering the weather it was a great showing of support. Now this week we everyone to show up and be loud. Nederland is gonna bring the whole town for this one. They think they've found their Joseph. Even @Reagan is sporting the gold again and waiting for the hardware to be lifted in December... just jokes my friend. Hopefully one of us has an elite in the making. As long as I can remember we've had a great rivalry with Big Ned thanks to Uncle Larry and DRHooks. We lost all our OC rivals and PNG has moved up a notch too. I'd like to keep this one going a bit longer. 40-34 was an instant classic last season. Hoping for more excitement again this Friday. Let's go meet em. 🧢 WOS 112%2 points -

12 years ago they had enrollment of less than 1,000....now they have 3,300. Imagine if Silsbee had 2,000 more students dropped in on them, none of whom play football, then they have to be in the district with North Shore, Summer Creek, Atascocita and CE King. They would get their butts worked over something fierce every weekend then all the good players would find a more reasonable place to play where they would have a chance. They are a 3a or 4a school playing in a 6a district. No one would want to subject the self to that, so likely their better players went somewhere else.2 points -

Austin1985 reacted to PAMFAM10 for a topic
At times dekaney was dropping 3 and rushing 8…. And haters going to say every team will do this. But dekaney have 2 db with big time offers and was putting 16 as the 3rd db (3 big time 4 star athletes)… not many teams will be able to duplicate that. Not to mention PAM was still able to break off Hugh runs. Pam showed one miss tackle one bad angle is a house call. That put a lot of pressure on the opponent defense. I think most will go with bend but don’t break approach.. and Delaney has 6a size doing it. Another note Dekaney only score outside of garage time was to a big time UT comment. At TE that was a a well designed play. I don’t make excuses for titans but dekaney is an average to good 6a squad with big time recruits. And PAM won in there house. I don’t see how any negativity come from that. Also side note it wasn’t the sophomores getting beat it was PAM big time recruit getting work. He also played on a island against 16 and to be fair 16 was making unbelievable contested catches. My opinion on the QB is he looked like a first time starter wasn’t necessary accurate but showed he has a live arm and can beat you with the run. Another positive he was working the sidelines screaming next play next play. He seemed like the leader who didn’t get down on himself or the team. Last observation Titans went Eugen, baker then Martin at RB. Just a observation.1 point -

Tax Cuts Will Spur Economic Growth!
bullets13 reacted to CardinalBacker for a topic
I believe in a progressive tax system. Higher earners paying more than smaller earners. The problem(s) as I see it are that over half of us contribute nothing (or better yet, get a gift from the treasury called “earned income credit”) while the other half are chided for “not paying their fair share” while their top tax rate is 35%. The system is off kilter. 1. Everybody should pay something. No one should be receiving money from the government in the form of unrealized tax refunds. You should collect back no more than you paid in…. Period. 2. Unrealized gains should be taxed IF they are used as collateral for a loan. Rich guys (CEOs, etc) receive generous amounts of their compensation in the form of stocks. They don’t pay taxes on them because the gains aren’t locked in until the stocks are sold. They turn around and take out huge loans against the stocks/assets that they received as compensation. They use the proceeds of these loans to create lavish lifestyles, tax free. In fact, the interest that they spend on these loans is tax deductible, lol. When they do eventually sell their assets, the proceeds of the sale is taxed at the capital gains rate, which is much lower than they’d pay on actual income. It’s an easy loophole to close.1 point -

Yes sir and I don't why they went away from the 50 in the first place. And yes most teams run multiple fronts, but wos base defense was always the 50 until and we would adjust from there. But the new coaching staff decided to go to the 4 2 5 and the kids had been running the 50 since the 7 th grade. Long story short they going back to the 50 this year.1 point -

If memory serves, PN-G returned 15 of last year’s 22 starters. As @Rez pointed out, we have some things to fix coming out of the Klein Oak game. Provided we fix those things, PN-G 17. If we don’t, PN-G by 7. I suspect United is a better team than in years past, and is also better than Klein Oak.1 point -

I wouldn't say our secondary (as a WHOLE) but one in particular. The long plays were against ONE DB. Also what CRITICS should know is that 3 out of 4/5 (depending on the defense ran) were SOPH playing in their FIRST varsity game. And even still, the Sophomores weren't the one's that got beat. First game! First win! GO YE MIGHTY TITANS!1 point -

This didn’t happen until the Republicans won the House for the first time in 40 years. Led by Newt Gingrich, Clinton was forced to play ball. To his credit he did work with Gingrich to balance the budget. You must remember that the previous 2 years he let Hillary try to socialize our medical system. This failed. But this was a major factor in the Republicans winning. @UT alum1 point -

First, yes those kids are in the district. (not all attend regularly). Also, it's more like a hand full play football, not some. And a few of those parents work and pay taxes. The rest do not. Now my sources to all this info is very good. I have a family member who lives in Cleveland ISD and her kids go to school there. I also have a friend who is in law enforcement over there and works that area daily. I also know a coach on staff at Cleveland very well. They all confirm what gary has posted. What gary posted above is all true. The fact is Cleveland only has a 6A enrollment because of this "alien" community that is geographically within the Cleveland ISD boundaries. Cleveland has a 6A enrollment with 4A facilities and 3A football (based on participation numbers and talent). It's a no win situation and will only get worse. Over half of that "alien" community do not benefit the town of Cleveland. It's a terrible situation. My cop friend says it's like a third world country over there and the Mexican Cartel has a big claim to that community. Very sad to say the least.1 point -
