All games are won/lost along the lines & with turnovers/penalties. That’s like saying water is wet. Still, I think it will be a good game for both squads to tune up & get ready for district. I hope both squads come away fully healthy & ready to go for the ‘real’ games. I like PNG’s balanced offense. LP’s D needs to tighten up. They’ve been okay. But, have given up big plays that have hurt them. PNG has a definite size advantage over LP’s LB’s and secondary. PNG will get to face a physical offense. Their tackling skills will be tested. Neither team will be able to get by with arm tackles. Id like to see both SE Texas teams do well this season. This game should help them both. I’m glad the staffs scheduled it. Maybe next year, y’all can visit the new Bulldog Stadium. It’s looking nice, and will actually be able to handle handicapped visitors with a full experience like everyone else. I will have to watch the stream as my wife has PSP (a rare form of Parkinson’s) and few stadiums can accommodate her needs. But, I wish both teams good games, and good health. Crosby’s superintendent hiring Joe Willis is the problem. I was vehemently against it when we hired him because his approach to the game does not fit the personnel the Crosby community produces. There are a lot of people on this site who had no idea what they were talking about trying to correct me on that. If you get your butt kicked with multiple SEC kids on the roster then you have no shot with just BigXII and C-USA kids which he’s proven to be true. He runs a system that nullifies any athletic advantages we have at the skill positions. Instead he still takes the Cedar Park approach which relied heavily on being dominant at the line of scrimmage. That’s fine when you average 6’3” and 285lbs across the offensive line the way they did when Crosby played them in the semifinals, we don’t have that and never have. His system requires the kids to process a lot of information, especially on defense. This makes the kids play extremely slow and makes us look like “we don’t have the athletes we used to”. Willis calls plays and is terrible at it. With the system being bad I’m not sure it makes a lot of difference what he calls though? One example from last week is running the ball multiple times on 3rd and long yet choosing to call a pass play on 4th and inches which resulted in a goal line interception. He relies extremely heavily on his RB and now that Fontenot isn’t there to substitute in when we need a 3rd and short conversion his play calling looks even worse. I bet we already have close to 15 three and outs through the first two games. Practice is slow and boring and he doesn’t inject any excitement into the kids because he’s pretty low energy himself. As far as the staff my opinion is that there are only two real “football guys” on the sideline besides Willis. I think most of the guys he hired need a lot more seasoning. It’s just all around bad now, hopefully the superintendent makes a change after this year but her ego is so big that I’m not sure she will be willing to admit failure. Crosby's district isn’t very good so we might finish in 4th place at which time she may try to sell “improvement” to the interested parties and allow Willis to screw over another year of Crosby’s talent. Crosby may be 6A after next year, we need to get someone in here who has the ability to connect with our kids and the willingness to build a program.

Dems gave those voters someone that was more palatable than what was being previously offered. The republicans gave them Trump and said "take it and like it", with the implicit understanding that anyone who chooses not to vote for him is an idiot and "the problem." We'll see how it turns out. The 6th highest paid coach in the Houston area will be 2-11 heading into district play. I hate it for the kids but glad all the administrators will be there to watch it.

No, compassion for all is access for all. Everybody has the right to bear arms… that doesn’t mean everybody gets a gun regardless of their ability to pay. We have the ability to travel freely about the country… that doesn’t mean that “compassion” would allow anyone to walk into the ford dealer and demand a free car…. Free healthcare isn’t a right…. People who believe their own health and welfare is someone else’s responsibility is the problem with society today. The only people unbothered by inflation at the grocery store are the ones whose groceries are free. The laziest among us eat better than the working poor and the actual working class. You wouldn’t need Sherlock Holmes to solve the mystery of “Who’s not paying for their own groceries at Walmart Today?” Compassion is making sure the poor don’t starve. Compassion isn’t giving those unwilling to labor the reward of gluttony for free. And the solution isn’t “free food for everyone.”

Y’all were worried about the CNN moderators until Biden showed up semi-conscious, then crickets from the trump fans. I warned you, but you didn’t listen. Trump “won” the first debate because Biden looked like the Cryptkeeper. Trump performed badly there, too, but nobody was punching back. Kamala dotted both his eyes and flattened his lips for him. All I know is Kingwood would blow out both of PNG’s opponents by similar margins (and has proven it against BU), and DP against either would be worse. Klein Oak and BU are both doormats. Sorry. Kingwood will challenge King for the 4th spot this year IMHO, and DP is a perennial PO team. Neither are 6A juggernauts. But, both are solid. Especially at home. It’s a fan board for us fans. I seriously doubt if the PNG staff/players are thinking they’ll roll LP.

People are always sleeping on Kingwood. But if they were in another district they would be fighting for a playoff spot every year. Yeah they might have lost three district games last year and they'll lose three this year. But look at who those three loses were to.

Bears are 0-2 and played two top 13 teams in the State. OMG, Rome is burning!!!!!!! yall need to chill out and try and enjoy yourselves. Fire Peevey? The man puts in more hours than you can imagine into his program for basically peanut pay. If you divided his salary up into the hours worked, I guarantee you 75% of the people complaining make more an hour. my opinion is the he can only do so much with the talent he has. No one is a miracle worker. Maybe the kids need to focus more on football and less on social life if they want to win more games. If the kids want to have a good social life, then their parents need to just except mediocrity and a first round playoff exit. If these dads want to complain so much they need to grab a whistle and about 80 hours a week and see how good they can do with some of these spoiled, entitled kids.

You can sort of make that argument for Riordan leaving but I personally think it was something else, it just happened to coincide with the financial mismanagement timeframe. The superintendent and her ego ran off Prieto though. Prieto asked for things to improve the program and she balked at it, ego tripped and Coach P was gone. Then the genius hired Willis and gave him most of the stuff Prieto was asking for, smh. While we’re still not where we need to be, we wouldn’t be paying Willis the 6th highest salary in the Houston area if we were hurting.

Everyone needs to take into consideration that lcm has played 2 teams ranked top 10 in the state. IN theory they should lose to those teams, but seeing them hang in there gives a little hope. If they would cut out all the bullshit and egos they could have something. Silsbee had a short field to score almost every possession.(due to turnovers, muffled kickoff, and muffled punt return)What’s funny is lcm finished with more offensive yards while having 5-6 turnovers. I agree with you. I don’t know why she would agree to another one. I’m sure she was as confident (or cocky) as can be after the one ended last night. Let’s see if her advisors don’t walk her back from doing another one (many ways to do it: don’t agree to terms, venue, host, etc.).

I am a PN-G fan and think this will be a very physical game won along the o line and d line. Both strengths for PN-G. Turnovers and busted plays that go big will decide the game. PNG started pulling starters last week in the 2nd quarter and mixed them with backups the rest of the game. The score could have been worse.

When downright forced to go to Bridge City, we used to always go to Tico's Cuban Café (amazing food), but they closed a pretty good while back. Honestly, I love going to "The Bridge City Corndog Stand" in front of Walmart. Large corn dog with lots of mustard, curly fries and a funnel cake. Close at 8:30 pm if I remember correctly. Eat it in your truck with a couple "sodas" you already have iced down if you want.
