If you guys think the BIPARTISAN border bill was killed for any reason other than this election, I have some oceanfront property in Evadale for you. And if the shoe was on the other foot, the Dems would have done EXACTLY the same thing. The problem with politics is the ME will always be more important than the WE. I’m sure there are exceptions to that but very few. And neither of the choices at the top of the ballot in November would remotely be exceptions to that rule. As for another debate, I don’t know why Trump would think he’s in a position of power to negotiate. He needs it far more than she does at this point, in my opinion. However, while he is certainly not nearly as bad as Biden, I’m not sure Trump has the ability to perform at a high level against someone competent in a debate at this point. He’s obviously always been tough to keep on script and now you could see him struggling to organize his thoughts. Honestly though, the way NO ONE gives any serious plans or ideas EVER in these debates (easier just to brag/lie about their records and, more often, criticize the other candidate), it’s crazy to me to base your vote off a debate. Especially when in the amount of time you spend sitting there watching them prevaricate, you could research their actual records.

Shelbyville QB had 375 yards, 4 TD's passing and 285 yards and 3 TD's rushing. 660 yards and 7 TD's total.

Most impressed: Atascocita Big wins over Houston Lamar, Katy and Austin Westlake. No team in the state has that good of a resume so far this season. Newton at 1-2 will definitely make noise.

All I know is that after this season concludes, some individuals need for sale signs placed in their yard.

Well, here we are the last week of non-district play! The Falcons come into BH this week sporting and 0-3 record and getting handled by Angleton last game. Foster comes out of district 20-6A where they are picked to place 5th in that district, and they return 6/5 from a 1-9 team last year. After a disappointing double OT loss to Deer Park, I would expect that the Eagles will come into this game motivated and work on cleaning up the mistakes from the last 2 games. Overall BH has surpassed my expectorations for the season and look forward to district next week which will set the tone for the district race when BH travels to Lufkin to get things started. I think the Eagles win this one big and rest the starters in the 4th.

I hate to compare games and it might not mean anything. But Westbrook beat Lumberton by 3 points. Nederland blew out Lumberton 37-0. I believe Silsbee would have to make some mistakes for this one to be within 4 points

Luckily Quinn is so good there is no controversy when he is healthy (and the Manning family couldn’t be better in this situation). But I can’t imagine there are more than a handful of teams in the country (maybe on one hand) where Arch wouldn’t be the starter. Nice to have that luxury. Hopefully Ewers will be back for OU.

If the on-side attempt was successful, y'all would've thought it was genius. The real lesson is to not get in the situation to have to make that call in the first place. Probably wasn't a brilliant play call, as you said, but Big Ned has to get better. That's the bottom line...

He's still a Silsbee Tiger fan. For this game, he has to back Westbrook. Family is on the team. This is all I can say.

I missed the 1st quarter of this game, but from when I got there, I’ll disclose what I noticed: 1. Our biggest problem is in the secondary. We absolutely cannot over anyone. You have guys running past us, catching over the top of us. 2. Up front, we tackle every other play. If it’s a running play, every other play is guaranteed that we’ll give the other team a first down. Arm tackling and just all out of position. 3. We don’t block. And after watching the o-Line coach interact with the linemen, he doesn’t have a clue. 4. This is the 3rd game and we still have problems getting the offensive plays in on time. Still have to call timeouts to prevent the delay of game. 5. Our snap counts are predictable. Nimitz blitzed all night and was able to get a beat on the snap all mighty. 6. Our QB threw like 6 interceptions tonight. That will get you ran off the field EVERY TIME. Backup QB should’ve been inserted after halftime. Game was over at that point. 7. 2nd week in a row while we’re getting beat down I see kids smiling, dancing and goofing off on the sidelines. Totally unacceptable. 8. This is the 3rd year with this coaching staff and there’s no excuses for this. It’s time to go a new direction and when I say that, EVERYONE needs to find something else to do. 9. I asked a few BU fans a question and couldn’t get an answer. Is this Nimitz team more talented and athletic than us? One guy said they are more athletic than us. My follow up question is was PNG more talented and athletic than us? (Because it was the same type of are whipping that we took. Only difference is PNG took it easy on us). I didn’t get an answer. 10. There is a die hard BU fan that was at the game. The man has had 2 sons that came through this program. He has a child currently on the team now and it’s a shame that this program is doing this disservice. BU started 2018. The football program should. Be farther along in year 7. 11. Nimitz is a good team and I can see why they went 3 rounds deep in the 6a playoffs last year. Their WR’s are nice. 12. There is a person that I’m holding responsible for the state of affairs of Beaumont football. They haven’t taken accountability on it but someone needs to go another direction with them as well. 13. From this point forward until the season ends, I’m going to start rating my level of embarrassment when we lose. On a scale of 1-10. PNG - 9 Nimitz - 10

Georgia beats Kentucky 13-12. They should drop even though it really makes no difference. I want #1 when the season is over.

I have a feeling the district play is going to go a lot different than many thought before the season started. I see there being of lot of competition between the top 6 teams.

Offensive playing calling is definitely a head scratcher. At some point coaches have to tell QB to keep the ball on the read option. It was open all night for huge yardage. I thought defense did good except for last 8 minutes of the game. I think they got tired. as mentioned in other posts, we gave DP the ball inside our 20 twice of muffed punt return and a snap over the punters head. We didn’t convert hardly any 3rd downs due to poor play calls and inaccurate passes. The D gave up 50, but 28 points were OT and two give me’s on botched plays. This game should’ve never been close. I would even say atleast 49-21 should’ve been the score. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Let’s see what the coaches can come up with.

Last week we struggled against a Manvel team we should have easily put away. I said then we HAVE to fix the special teams. They killed us last week but we got away with it. This week I looked for vast improvement but it got even worse. In first half we gave away 14 points. Snap over punters head (again) and fumbled a kick return inside the 5. Thats 14 points given away. Should have been BH 14-7 at half but it was 21-14 DP. At end of regulation our game winning FG was blocked with 3 sec. left. Another 3 given away for a total of 17 points surrendered. If just ONE of the special teams mistakes don't happen, we win for sure. The O and D did a good job. Our special teams are terrible, they kept the team in a bind all night long. Its critical now. If we don't fix the special teams we have a bad season ahead. We also have to develop a real killer instinct to finish an opponent off. We don't have that yet. We are capable of winning but we have to execute and finish. Clock is ticking. Just one more week to get it right.

These Coaches couldn’t win a close game if they had to. From now on if we go into OT I say just forfeit and move to the next game. We get up by 7 with 9 minutes left and start milking the clock? We seem to never play to win just try to play not to lose when it’s tight. Running the ball up the middle for little to know gain and always putting your QB in 3rd and long doesn’t help either…oh well I’m just rambling now ,but this is getting old fast.

More thoughts.... Key Plays 1st Half 1) Nederland Punt Mishandled - 1 YD line 2) Silsbee up 21-0, Nederland fumble on Kickoff return. Ruled down....? 3) Moshier Interception on 1st Down gives ball back to Nederland and then... 3) Tezeno takes screen play and scores on 4th down. Makes it 24 - 7 Silsbee throws the ball only 5 times in 2nd Half...interception right before half was a big turning point in game plan. 2nd Half 1) Sunday pressured, Tezeno makes big catch on underthrown ball for big time 4th down conversion. Sunday rush TD result. 2) Nederland 2nd Mishandled Punt- Moshier TD 3) Thomas takes over 3rd qtr.. 2/3rd of total Rushing yds results in ridiculous 41 Yd TD off spin move. 4) Moshier 18yd touch pass to Miller on the sideline for first down. This game was closer than it seemed. Penalties/Special team mistakes doomed Nederland but the truth is that Silsbee was the better team tonight. It would have been less of an issue if not for Tezeno. 3 Huge Plays from him kept Bulldogs in it. Thomas made it clear he was the best back on the field but to little to late. Silsbee was steady. Nothing flashy, capitalized when opportunities there. It was a good game to call, excellent hospitality and great atmosphere... even if Bulldogs turned off the volume on TexanLive.

Maybe the Supt should have spent $70,000 on helping the coaching staff
