  1. I could've really said more but I'm staying within forum rules on this wonderful Sunday morning. Saturday morning should be wonderful too after a Rivalry Week dub over Weak Brooke.

  2. It’s a little baffling how close LC has their safeties play to the box. If they don’t have the players for that scheme what are the coaches thinking? Either way, it’s good news for Nederland’s run game. 😀

  3. No, the Beaumont schools are our primary rival. The kids have been playing each other in middle school since Memorial was formed. So now, for the forseeable future, PA and Beaumont will be at it in all sports. Forest Park is pretty salty but PA should come out on top. Possible trap game vibes since Lufkin is up after the Bruins

Same here. But my old school self wants to go back to the old SWC days. But that's just me. lol I can remember watching on Saturday morning and hearing the TV announcer say "These are the games of the Southwest Conference!!". Oh what memories.

This has been one of the best seasons I can remember. Great games with big upsets each week. I’m not really a fan of NIL and free agency. I hate all the realignment and don’t even know who’s in what conference half the time. But damn it’s been fun watching each week. Maybe it’s the 12 team playoff giving more teams a chance, but it’s been awesome. Hopefully they keep it up all season.

  9. I’m a school Administrator in BISD, but live in Pt Neches, so I bleed purple in backing the Indians. As a BISD Administrator, I definitely feel the BISD schools have the talent. I think the kids need to be more disciplined with some solid coaching. Talent + Good Coaching = Winning Combination, IMO.

  10. Your not wrong. They do what your suppose to do to bad teams, and they like to run up scores on those same bad teams when it's unnecessary. I've watched video too, and the AMC game which was a home game for Weiss. A game Weiss actually went up against a good defense for the only time this year. I would put the present healthy Lufkin's D against either one of those teams without a problem.

  11. I've watched a few of these matchups over the years on YouTube. The Muck Bowl can get downright crazy on and off the field. The Salt Bowl is my favorite on the list.

  12. BWB will not be able to generate enough offense to win this one. The QB will make a few runs but that's pretty much it. They do have some decent screen plays PAM will need to watch. Maybe tight early but PAM should get some separation as the game unfolds.

  14. The name is not Weake Brook. The high school is West Brook. Being insulting is juvenile behavior. It is very easy to be rude behind a keyboard. You don't have that same energy when you lose. You don't live in Beaumont. West Brook is not a rival. The Titans played that game already. Galveston Ball is your rival. The Titans were losing a fight started. West Brook is creating a new culture over there. All of you want to critique something and you don't know the whole story. The story will not be divulged on this board. The team is young and will be ready for every game.

Florida should have went for 2 and the win. Napier probably gone anyways. Might as well pull off a big upset.

  22. Chill bro, you’re right about it not having anything to with being an outsider but it does have everything to do with him dumping the entire program(that took over 40 years to build )upside down in just a couple seasons

  23. Not a chance. This was a dominant win. The defense shut y’all down all game. The offense gouged y’all in the first half. They didn’t get the ball but 3 times in the 2nd half and the last two they just tried to burn clock instead of airing it out like they did in the first half. Plus Silsbee’s last touchdown drive came against the backups after they didn’t move the ball all game. You’re right about getting the penalties fixed, though.

  26. BH has no killer instinct. One of our posters lamented this when we lost to Deer Park in OT. If a game is going down to the wire, or into overtime BH will likely lose. A few years ago we lost to A&M Consolidated in the final seconds of a 2nd round game. Lost to Richland after blowing them out in the first half of 2nd round last year. etc. This is what playing a finesse style game gets you. Now think of the best wins BH had. Physically rammed the ball right down #4 FBM's throat and shocked the world! Blasted PAM last year with blood in our eye, Hammered Forney and McKinney North, etc. It can be done when BH plays wide open, full intensity, physical football. If BH can rediscover that physical intensity, and let our big QB run ahead like a mad man instead of always looking for a hook slide well short of the stick, BH can reinvent themselves. I am NOT bashing the QB. He may be instructed to do all the hook slides, I don't know. I do know he is not a pure passer. He has a very stong arm but accuracy is a big issue. I also know he can plow ahead into a defense and make 2 yards almost every single time. Had that happened from the 2 at the end of the half, and again at the end of the game, I have no doubt BH wins. Don't overthink it, play to your strength! Come on BH, lets play Man-ball again!

  27. Dayton is down to third string QB and a disappearing secondary. Blocked punts, excessive penalties, and a safety did not help at all. What was good is the players continue to play hard and did not resort to personal fouls. Good win for Lake Creek.

  28. So why, exactly, did BH not go for the field goal at the end of the game? I know they got down to the 2 and then got sacked twice but did they not have any time outs or did Coach Abseck lose track of the clock or something else happen, or what?

  29. The 2 DCs was a tremendous problem his first 2 years. Going back to the traditional defense has helped. But we still on the edge of shooting ourself in the foot in every part of that game. Bottom line is I'm happy the kids are having success. KJ had the stongest game Ive seen personally. #5 made some great catches last night. The defense made the stops when they needed to. Everyone on the team contributed. Wish I would've stayed a bit longer to see them celebrate. But the Whataburger penalty flags were calling my name around the 3rd quarter. Great broadcast by KJAS team last night too. It was also my 1st trip to the new Dawg House. I particularly love the raised area near the entrance with tailgating and kids playing. There's something about keeping the community in touch with the program that they understand very well up there. Good game Jasper. Look forward to making the trip again in a couple years.

  30. Your absolutely right. WOS expectations are very high. They just dont care about the win its how they win. Shutting the opponent out and being dominant in all phases of the game. Well the truth is Coach Thompson and Coach Hooks are gone and we now know its not all about talent if you expect that high of a standard. Coach Thompson held players accountable and they wanted him gone. Its going to be hard to find old school football coaches because kids and parents are soft these days.

  31. I get it. We played with an offense where I didn't even recognize the players. Except for the QB most all the skill guys are out. It is amazing how many injuries BH has had the past 2 years. Beyond crazy. So BH fumbles twice in first 90 seconds. Recovered both but killed the drive. Not a great start. BH is behind 13-3 but is gifted with the ball on the 2 right before half. One play to get a crucial score. No recievers available, no passing game working, so instead sending our big QB plowing ahead into the endzone...we pass for yet another incompletion. Fail. Our big QB had daylight to run into. He would have made it. A golden opportunity lost. Second half BH D plays well and O gets going with the O-line paving the way. BH claws back and has enough but limited time to make a winning drive at the end. First set, our QB runs right and could easily pick up 1st down, but decides to hook slide again way too early. He is one of the most physical players on the team but plays like he is a fragile item in bubble wrap. You cannot play like this especially in crunch time of a crunch game. If the idea is to keep him from taking any hits, what are we saving him for at this point? BH implodes at the 2 again as time expires to end the game. Another golden opportunity lost. Even with BH decimated with injuries, this game was entirely winnable. We are now 1-2 in district, 5th place, with Ball still ahead. Yes, some starters might come back, but probably thats too little too late. At best we are locked into 4th place with a bad path ahead. Might even lose to WB and miss playoffs. I dunno. The larger question is, can our QB ever play wide open and lay it all out to win? Clearly he is not the best passer, he is wildly inaccurate at times, so why not play directly to his strength? He could be a LOAD to bring down if he would just run wide open. If that would have happened tonight, we win.
