Mr. Buddy Garrity and 2 others reacted to SmashMouth for a topic
As a fellow intellect, I went ahead and corrected your spelling/grammar. Just the most obvious mistakes of course. Tense shift, noun-verb agreement and overall cohesiveness and flow were left alone. Look sir, @Mr. Buddy Garrity is a years' long and daily respected poster on this site. Half of what he says is just simple digs and behind the scene jabs at other posters on here. It's all in fun. I feel like you are passionate about your Bruins which is awesome. But please take it down a notch, because you are the only one who needs to untie the knot from one's panties. It's gonna be ok.3 points -

It won’t be done until BH Coaching/Admin gets it done which they won’t because they’ve grown complacent and believe their own hype. The fact that the 3 nearest programs to them, (REL/RSS/GCM), aren’t nearly on their level lends to this mentality of BH being the best and if they already believe they’re great why push harder and work out in that hot sun when they’re already great? 20-30 years ago, BH was a country-boy team. Hard-nosed, scrappy, and surrounded by other decent programs so BH always had a chip on their shoulder and something to prove so they’d outwork those other big-city programs. Today? BH becomes more and more high-dollar suburb with each Riceland house sold and all the BH Coaches and players hear all day long is how great they are. Well, if that’s all they ever hear, and they coast into playoffs each year due at least in some part to the schedule they play and quality of their opponents, then there’s no chip on their shoulder. They need to get that chip back on their shoulder. BH keeps low-key signaling that they’re 6A ready, like scheduling all 6A opponents in out-of-district this year. They’re never going to be if they don’t do just like other posters on here are saying and toughen up. Can you imagine what would happen in 2026 when UIL redraws districts again if they dropped GCM down and bumped BH up in GCM’s place? It won’t matter how nice “The Indoor” is or how much they pay their Coach. BH enrollments are already close to the 6A cutoff and if they don’t get right they’ll get humbled in 6A3 points

I said it with his passing and will do so again. I doubt that many people know how much he put into this website. The few times that I have had direct contact with him, he just had such a great personality. He would have been a benefit to any program but fortunately he added SETX Sports to his ventures. What he meant to this site cannot be over exaggerated. 😢1 point -
This could be a trap game for BH. Coming off of a debacle of a loss at PAM could open the door for United. Hopefully BH gives a heavy dose of the ground and pound offense and the defense play’s assignment bend, but don’t break defense and not allow the speed on the outside to hurt them.1 point

Trump receives unanimous endorsement from Border Patrol Union
Reagan reacted to LumRaiderFan for a topic
[Hidden Content] Maybe we should consider the opinion of those that see the problem up close and personal. From the article: The official union of the U.S. border patrol announced its full support of former President Trump during a rally in Prescott Valley, Arizona on Sunday. During the rally, Trump told the crowd that he was "honored to receive… the endorsement" of the union of the entire union of the border patrol agents, the National Border Patrol Council. "It’s a great honor," Trump said. "They said it was unanimous. Thousands of people." He then invited Paul Perez, the president of the National Border Patrol Council, onto the stage. Perez said he had a message for everyone in the crowd. "If we allow border czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country is going to go to hell," Perez said. "The untold millions of people unvetted, who she has allowed into this country that are committing murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries and every other crime will continue to put our country in peril. "Only one man can fix that. That is Donald J. Trump," he continued. "He has always stood with the men and women who protect this border, who put their lives on the line for the country.1 point -

The offensive strategy also effects the defensive strategy. The plan is to put all the good athletes on offense and then the rest on defense, give a 10 yard cushion and hope you can outscore the opponent.1 point -

This seems like a Golden Triangle family issue imma stay out of it 😂. On a serious note I was impressed with WB against Lufkin. They play hard and physical. The QB is a stud. They will probably have something down the road if the coach can figure it out.1 point -
Medusa heads stay in the closet this year. Titans will win. Maybe our secret weapon will rear his head and call the game in our favor. Our kids will try to give them a game until the defense gets tired from the 3 and outs from running the dive play 75 times a game.1 point

Bad coaching and our kids playing at other schools in the Golden Triangle. But we do have some talent in the pipelines if Jackson does his job and hire the kids a coach that actually knows how to lead young men to win football games.1 point

West Orange Stark vs Shepherd
WOS95 reacted to WOSdrummer99 for a topic
This could be a rest in the 2nd half game. But we can't look ahead to the trip to Silsbee next week. We've been surprised before when it's looks easy. Shepherd has played well so far. They come in with a 2 game win streak. Holding on to a 3 way tie for 1st. They scored 50+ in their 3 wins. 34+ in the 3 losses. WOS defense allowing 22.8 ppg. It's closer to the traditional numbers expected from the Mustangs. Helps when the offense is able to take advantage of those stops. If we can clean up the little things and keep the coaches off the field 👀, maybe those untimely flags can stay off the turf. #every second counts1 point -

Separation Scientist reacted to Crawdad for a topic
I'm not sure who you are Separation Scientist, but you and I are on the same page entirely. BH has not played tough, physical football for 4 full quarters in years (before the Gage hiring). I feel it has 99% to do with how we work in the offseason. I know we lift weights and spend a great deal of time lifting those weights and doing footwork drills, etc., ......but are we hurting and learning to fight through the pain and get to that next level and continue on? I firmly believe in quality over quantity. Do the coaches work the kids until exhaustion and then continue pushing them? I know the answer.... they do not! We practice in an indoor air conditioned taj mahal even when the weather is great. It is much different than what the BH offseason program was in the nineties and early 2000s....and the programs of Katy and PNG of today. We worked through multiple agility, plyo, mat drills, bleachers, hill training, weight training circuits until we were puking and after we finished non-stop motion for 50 minutes all groups would meet on the track to run a quarter for time. If you didn't make the time you had to run it again. We did this every day and would routinely test strength and speed (included a mile run for time...which hasn't happened at BH in years...yes, big boys can run a mile) ....and 90% of all athletes would improve in both strength and speed throughout the offseason. This all took place in 4th period of the school day, and it got results. We didn't have any big, sloppy dudes because they couldn't make it through the offseason (they lost weight and became hosses.... or quit) and our numbers were streamlined to only include those that really wanted to be there and put in the work. One thing that didn't happen is we didn't have kids lay out injured on the field. I do not remember many, if any, ever getting hurt or missing a game. I contribute that to how we worked in the offseason. Until we get the program back to this way of thinking and working, we will continue to be mediocre. We have twice the athletes and numbers today than we did then so it would be fun to see the results. It can be done. Not sure it will be done.1 point -

No, the Beaumont schools are our primary rival. The kids have been playing each other in middle school since Memorial was formed. So now, for the forseeable future, PA and Beaumont will be at it in all sports. Forest Park is pretty salty but PA should come out on top. Possible trap game vibes since Lufkin is up after the Bruins1 point -

The name is not Weake Brook. The high school is West Brook. Being insulting is juvenile behavior. It is very easy to be rude behind a keyboard. You don't have that same energy when you lose. You don't live in Beaumont. West Brook is not a rival. The Titans played that game already. Galveston Ball is your rival. The Titans were losing a fight started. West Brook is creating a new culture over there. All of you want to critique something and you don't know the whole story. The story will not be divulged on this board. The team is young and will be ready for every game.1 point -

Clueless reacted to Separation Scientist for a topic
BH has no killer instinct. One of our posters lamented this when we lost to Deer Park in OT. If a game is going down to the wire, or into overtime BH will likely lose. A few years ago we lost to A&M Consolidated in the final seconds of a 2nd round game. Lost to Richland after blowing them out in the first half of 2nd round last year. etc. This is what playing a finesse style game gets you. Now think of the best wins BH had. Physically rammed the ball right down #4 FBM's throat and shocked the world! Blasted PAM last year with blood in our eye, Hammered Forney and McKinney North, etc. It can be done when BH plays wide open, full intensity, physical football. If BH can rediscover that physical intensity, and let our big QB run ahead like a mad man instead of always looking for a hook slide well short of the stick, BH can reinvent themselves. I am NOT bashing the QB. He may be instructed to do all the hook slides, I don't know. I do know he is not a pure passer. He has a very stong arm but accuracy is a big issue. I also know he can plow ahead into a defense and make 2 yards almost every single time. Had that happened from the 2 at the end of the half, and again at the end of the game, I have no doubt BH wins. Don't overthink it, play to your strength! Come on BH, lets play Man-ball again!1 point -
