Nicholas Newton, 35, an assistant principal at Booker T. Washington High School in Houston ISD. Newton is alleged to have participated in the scheme as the proxy test-taker. Darian Nikole Wilhite, 22, a proctor at TACTIX who is alleged to have taken bribes to allow Newton to act as a testing proxy. LaShonda Roberts, 39, an assistant principal at Yates High School in Houston ISD. Roberts is charged with recruiting nearly 100 teachers to participate in the cheating scheme. Silsbee and Jasper are down, but they aren’t THAT down. Jasper has just played arguably the toughest schedule in the state. Silsbee already beat LCM by two touchdowns. I will say it’s possible that the winner of y’all’s district maaaaaybe squeaks into fourth, but I don’t think anyone is good enough to beat both Jasper and Silsbee. Maybe Huffman. We’ll see what they do against LCM and BC. Their schedule is about as bad as BCs

Two SETX rivalry games tonight. One arguably the biggest rivalry in the state. One game thread is replete with whining from both sides about officiating (and who benefitted more from bad calls). The other about which team made more plays, and the fans of the team who came up short giving kudos to the team who got the W. It’s almost like one game involved two teams who “have been there before.” No doubt great rivalries are fueled by two schools whose teams consistently leave it all on the field. But honestly it’s the fans who are the constant, year after year. And IMO, with all due respect to Permian- Lee (which is probably the second best I’ve personally witnessed), NO ONE does it better than you mid county folk. Congrats to the Bulldogs - great win in a game that seems to spit out classic after classic.

I think what some are failing to remember is that you're talking about a bunch of kids that are finally experiencing some success. Regardless of whether it's an easy district or actual skill, these are KIDS that are playing their hearts out week after week. You're calling BC "Chitty"...which we all know you're avoiding getting your hand slapped by changing the "Sh" to a "Ch" and we know what you really want to say here. So you're insulting an entire town who is excited about football for the first time in a long time. If BC loses, well they're just a baseball school. If BC wins, well the chose an easy district. Why not just be excited for a group of KIDS and their coaches who have strung together YEARS of losing records and are now experiencing something special? If you think these kids don't read this and see a bunch of grown adults telling them they're "chitty" and discount every single win simply because y'all don't think this district is worthy of even playing, you're sorely mistaken. I have no dog in this fight, no kid that plays...not even a nephew or neighbor...just a fan who thinks it's time to move on from this and hope the team keeps fighting for Ws every Friday night!
