  1. At this juncture, I’m very PROUD of MidCounty. Honestly, I could care less about seeding and placement in the district. I’ll be supporting both Nederland and PNG through the playoffs. These young men from BOTH teams play their hearts out for our enjoyment and excitement every Friday night. Prayers for both teams for injury free games for the rest of the season. I know it can be fun with the pokes and jabs in our comments. At the end of the day, regardless which team you support, MidCounty has done each and everyone of us PROUD! God Bless🙏

  2. No doubt. SOC is probably rated way higher than Katy Isd or Heights educational wise.

  4. Reports of the sky falling in Nederland are greatly exaggerated. I was very impressed with Huntsville and we went toe to toe with them for 4 quarters. We got beat by a very good team last night and are 5-1 in district with a win against our arch rival on their home field and avenged a 48 point playoff loss last year, too. The Dogs control their own destiny next week in Montgomery. Fact of the matter, there are 5 really good teams in this district that can beat each other on any given night. Before the season started if anyone would have told us Ned fans that we’d be playing for the district title in the final week of the season, I think we’d be pretty happy with that! Let’s go Dogs!

  6. I know I can’t keep up with the gurus on here. Ned/PNG is over by over a week. Need to focus on the future. Here’s the way I see it. Start of season, focus on DC. If that’s not in the cards, make the playoffs. To me, seeding is only good for the first round, because on paper, the lesser team should be gone…..on paper. Here’s a scenario. Let’s say Nederland gets the top seed, our bi-district opponent will be #4 seed from another district. So we “dodged the dreaded #1 seed matchup. Woooooo. Sooner or later, should Nederland keep advancing, they are going to meet that #1 seed or a team of equal or higher caliber. So what difference does it really make….NONE. Simply tighten your chin straps and play football. Whatever happens, happens. Good luck to all teams in our district. Lamar1996, could you please post something with at least a 4th grade mentality?

  7. McNeal Jr. was at one of the Katy ISD schools his Fresh, Soph years, Houston Heights last year and now SOC….but I’m sure all that moving has NOTHING to do with football…purely for EDUCATIONAL reasons 🙄

  8. In a 3 way tie, it goes to point differential. Idk what the limit is, so assuming no limit, it would be Ball +29, BH -1, and PAM -28. So if Lufkin and BH win this week, it's Lufkin 1 seed, Ball 2 seed, BH 3 seed, and PAM 4 seed.

  9. He made a comment on X in response to a post. You always post just what’s needed to try and make your point and not the full story…. THIS is what he said “If Trump succeeds in forcing through mass deportations, combined with Elon hacking away at the government, firing people and reducing the deficit - there will be an initial severe overreaction in the economy,” an anonymous user posted on X. “Market will tumble. But when the storm passes and everyone realizes we are on sounder footing, there will be a rapid recovery to a healthier, sustainable economy,” the post added. In reply, Musk said, “Sounds about right.”

  10. Dayton has definitely under performed this season but loosing your two best payers on offense a few games into the season didn't help. We are now on our 5th OB so our offense is pretty vanilla and predictable. PNG will smoke us!!!

  11. No injuries? We lost a D1 linebacker to a torn ACL in week 1 that’s committed to Navy, but ok. We were supposed to finish in the 4th-6th range. Still may finish 4th… District is tough. Lake Creek and Dayton underperformed. Montgomery is a little better than I thought. PN-G and Huntsville (along with LC) were all teams that almost EVERYONE had locked in the top 3. I didn’t see anyone having Ned playing for a DC the final week, but maybe there were a few. I don’t remember it though. Great regular season any way you slice it. Hope we can put an exclamation point on it Friday night.

  12. Henry will be starting but he’s still not 100%. They’ll have to get J Jerry up to speed with the ones. He was running back in the spring game and broke some long runs. Moved him to OLB then back to RB. He’s been splitting carries with Naquin. He’s more of a true RB in my opinion with good vision and breakaway speed.

  13. I was high on Dayton before the season. So count me in as surprised about them.

  15. I could have sworn (without immediately searching back through the preseason threads) that the team that everyone wrote out of the playoffs was Montgomery. Nederland fans that I know in person aren't surprised about the Bulldogs current standing in District, with all the returning starters and new HC. Plus I haven't heard of any major injuries. If that's true (all starters healthy), then they're about the only team in district that can say that. The most surprised fans I see this season are the PNG and Dayton folks.

  16. I’m telling you, it’s going to be a too big to rig victory for Harris/Walz. The rallies of his I watch are so low energy they almost need life support. Their ground machine is running on the rims while the Democratic machine is as organized as it’s ever been. It was reported that one day recently Pennsylvania volunteer workers all over the state were knocking on 2000 doors a second. That’s an energized turnout machine. All the crazy he’s done the past week dont really filter into the current prediction polls. It’ll have just the right amount to filter in for the poll that counts. The election poll. Trump is toast. Or he’ll maybe be making toast somewhere behind a razor wire topped fence.

  20. Im still predicting AMC or Lufkin takes the region. G Ball will be 4th place team if BH wins Friday and Ball loses to Lufkin I think. That’s wild

  22. After watching the game this morning, I 100% agree. Johnson did everything he could to lead his team last night. First time at the RB position and did quite well. (I would guess at least 80 yards rushing) Made some good catches out of his normal receiver spot (including a TD). He also was very important on the defensive side getting a crucial pick late in the game. Tigers had several "next man up" last night after coming into game a little short handed. Very gritty win for those Tigers.

  25. I watched the entire game online, no defense at all until LCM stepped up in the 4th quarter, #12 for Huffman is as tough a player as I have seen in years! The QB for Huffman was also very good. Now LCM may have played the most complete game on offense this year…the QB is starting to find receivers and we already know he can run. I am a BC grad with Kids that played at LCM so here is my thought on next week, I am not sure BC can stop the Huffman run game but if they do can BC match the offense? Most of the games I have watched with BC is they make mistakes that cost TD’s and that cannot happen against Huff…. Both Teams are very talented, one has played to that talent and the other has yet to reach the full potential….injuries have played a part. It will be a great game in BC!! LCM and Huffman battled their butts off and I really enjoyed it.

  26. Good news for Buna next week is it’s the last game of the season. Bad news for Buna is it’s against the district champions.

  30. You don’t? I make more money than I did 4 years ago and have a lot less left over at the end of each month. So the govt can say whatever they want about how great we’re all doing, but my bank account doesn’t lie. I’m thankful to be in a position where I’m not going hungry, and can afford some nice things, but I’m definitely less comfortable than I used to be. The only people who don’t notice or don’t care are the ones who make so much money it doesn’t effect them or who get everything given to them for free.

  31. I appreciate this post. Not too many will stand up and say that about their “fans”. We all Love to see a well oiled team win. Love to see when they win with class. Some will even look down on a good team because of the rowdiness of the fans. Keep it classy and good luck in the playoffs.

  41. I want the Dogs to take this one, but my gut feeling is that Montgomery, playing at home, will come out with the “W” on a one score game.
