For the Nederland fans, I will give you the Texas High report. The game will be decided on the field and not on message boards. In my opinion, this is the best Tiger team since they won state in 2002. As mentioned earlier they have a well balanced offense that is 50/50 between pass and run. David Potter, QB, makes good decisions and has only thrown 1 INT. He holds an offer from SMU. The running attack is three headed. Javari Johnson (SR), starts at RB and has committed to SFA over 8 D1 offers. Tradarian Ball (JR) is the crown jewel of the offense. 247Sports ranks him as the #2 RB in next year’s class and #46 overall nationally. He has committed to Oregon. When he is not spelling Johnson, he is a receiver. The #3 RB is Ahmad Moore (JR). His yards have come primarily with 2nd team, but I don’t see a huge drop off when he is on the field. The receivers to the passing attack is not focused on one individual. The line has provided good pass protection and opening holes for the run. The defense has given up some points, but are solid. I would say their strength is their secondary. Overall they have very good team speed. As a retired visiting coach related after they watched Texas High … “ They have athletes all over the field”. Grim can be a difficult venue for opponents, especially after a 5 hour bus ride. Looking forward to Friday and safe travels to the Nederland fans.

What's going to be interesting is that Lovejoy, coached by Todd Dodge, is on a possible collision course with either Nederland or PNG. Knowing that Dodge helped both schools in their coaching search, this could get really interesting! Personally -- I'd like to see it happen!

The Tigers did a good job of making it to a respectable 7-3 record on the year. I figured they'd go 4-6 or 5-5 before the season started. They should be better next year. We get Brookshire Royal in round 1 of the playoffs. I've no idea what to make of this team looking at their record and who they've played. I think if we're healthy, there's a chance we can win. Then it'll be time for the Bellville rematch.

Texas High has some nice wins they beat the best private school in the state and the best team in Arkansas who would be a good 6A team in TX (2800 enrollment), they also drilled a district champion Midlothian Heritage...they've got some big time skill talent

I know that the punt team and defense doesn’t look good for the Bulldogs you have a chance to be co champions and get the 1 seed and you give up 21 in the last 8 minutes of the game The last 60 yard drive in 1 minute. Results are in. What an exciting finish to the regular season. We had a come from behind winner here too. After 2 players went back and forth all season. It was @KF89 who tied it up last week and took the outright lead by 1 pt this week. He also won it last season on his way to the overall championship. Phase 1 of 3 is complete. Bailey had his best game passing of the season last night. He had 4 dropped passes that would have resulted in big plays possibly TD and had a couple of passes that were just a little bit over thrown but for this team to advance in the playoffs we have to be able to throw the football. Second I like the 4-2-5 defense our coaches went to last night it freed up our LB to be able to get to the ball carrier great addition to the defense. My biggest concern is we have played 10 games now and we have not been able to come up with a scheme in our running game to keep opposing defenses from just crashing their edge rushers straight to the point of our hand-off to the RB which every team we play is doing now which is severely hurting our ability to run the ball effectively. They Offensive needs to have plays to offset this and if we don't then I don't like what the future holds. Congratulations on the 3 rd district championship in a row and let's just play PNG FOOTBALL AND WIN ONE GAME AT A TIME.

First and foremost congratulations Nederland your BACK. You won MCM and was secs from winning the DC. Dont hang your head. You have continuously outperform expectations. Sounds like the Refs were not very good. Now next week just go do what you have been doing all year. Show everyone you are not the Nederland of the last few years and bring that new Bulldogs t Texarkana and show them who you are. Again congratulations on being back.
