And, then, the OC forgot about him for six or seven games. He is tall and mobile. Given him some throws. I'd spread him out and see if the LBs move out with him. Right now, teams are stacking eight and nine defenders in the box. Our OC does nothing to change the numbers game.

The demographics are polar opposite and the corresponding challenges that go with them. Also Splendora did not add 800 students in 2 years. Splendora had experienced organic growth whereas Cleveland experienced artificial and accelerated growth. Splendora has a supportive tax base whereas Cleveland has an adversarial tax base at war with the offending developer of the artificial growth. Growth in Splendora is similar to New Caney. The situation in Cleveland is unprecedented in American history.

So, use what seems to be (on video) superior depth and physicality to wear down the Trojans. I think Anderson will have a tough time stopping the Dawg rushing attack if LP plays error free ball. Just too many options to find the ‘hot hand’ so to speak. The ability to bring in fresh RB’s all game long is tough on a D after being pounded on all game long. D-wise, LP needs to wrap up and protect against the big pass play. Don’t let Anderson’s receivers get behind them. They do have speed, and LP’s pass defense isn’t their strength. They’ll need to pressure #3, and force him into errors. Massey & Calpreps have La Porte by 7. If LP plays clean, I could see it being much more than that. I’m going out on a limb with LP 42-21. HC retired not fired. Pretty sure that job was his as long as he was willing to continue to work there. No coach is going to come in and win there at 6A. Best Cleveland can do is hire a coach that will come in and run a program that focuses on building up the players as good young men. Problem is they will only attract ambitious young coaches trying to climb the professional ladder (not gonna work at Cleveland) or older coach that is looking to boost their retirement ( might do a decent job if they care).

For the Nederland fans, I will give you the Texas High report. The game will be decided on the field and not on message boards. In my opinion, this is the best Tiger team since they won state in 2002. As mentioned earlier they have a well balanced offense that is 50/50 between pass and run. David Potter, QB, makes good decisions and has only thrown 1 INT. He holds an offer from SMU. The running attack is three headed. Javari Johnson (SR), starts at RB and has committed to SFA over 8 D1 offers. Tradarian Ball (JR) is the crown jewel of the offense. 247Sports ranks him as the #2 RB in next year’s class and #46 overall nationally. He has committed to Oregon. When he is not spelling Johnson, he is a receiver. The #3 RB is Ahmad Moore (JR). His yards have come primarily with 2nd team, but I don’t see a huge drop off when he is on the field. The receivers to the passing attack is not focused on one individual. The line has provided good pass protection and opening holes for the run. The defense has given up some points, but are solid. I would say their strength is their secondary. Overall they have very good team speed. As a retired visiting coach related after they watched Texas High … “ They have athletes all over the field”. Grim can be a difficult venue for opponents, especially after a 5 hour bus ride. Looking forward to Friday and safe travels to the Nederland fans.
