This current LP team is better than that one though IMO, specifically on offense, hopefully they keep it going this weekend.

Many is the time PNG beat Nederland, or vice versa Nederland beat PNG & it was one of the only wins of the season for the victor of the game. The loser having gone on to the playoffs. Mid County Madness is crazy like that. It has no bearing on the season's fortunes, good or bad. I expect that this PNG vs Texas High game should be played prior to announcing the winner. Interesting tidbit for those that think Consol’s competition has been much better. Of La Porte’s 3 predistrict opponents, all 3 made the PO’s (Deer Park, Kingwood, and PNG). Kingwood & PNG are still playing. Angleton is also still playing. They face College Station this week. Angleton and LP took out the other 2 12-5A teams with winning records in Rd. 1.

I would be in favor of bringing back the local rankings. I am sure it’s a pain in the back to do it by yourself, but honestly you see enough of all these teams to have the best evaluations. Player rankings, seems like a bad idea. But local teams, I’m for it.

AMC probably did roll earlier, but of course last week they only had three points on GB before a late TD. LP is playing much better, now. I think LP is the favorite.

I’m deeply concerned about our secondary. If we can’t hurry the QB, we better score 65.

It was a really good game to watch. Don’t know much about Texas High but they wanted to run as well. Silsbee didn’t rebound it well at all, but that Jones kid is a bucket.

They good, I’ll give them flowers. But very beatable… I’ll give my reasons why when the time comes to talk about them.

I agree. Oline really has to step up and block. The run game hasnt been to good against quality teams.

Beating Hallsville and Kaufman didn’t take that Mid County Madness sting away, did it? Our district had 4 GOOD teams, but not a GREAT team in my opinion. This PN-G team is not the caliber of the previous two versions, again just my opinion. The 3 teams that PN-G barely beat or lost to in district have been thoroughly beaten by better teams in the playoffs. Texas High is really good. You will soon see that.

Never will be a fan of running from competition. But, back to Livingston...... They have good groups coming. And, they can compete with the right leadership. That leadership does NOT have to include the slot-t. Orangefield proved this year that with good coaching a team can run ANY offense and be successful. Culture is MUCH more important than scheme in Livingston.

I don't think anyone on the sideline had the intentions to fail. I do think the man behind the curtain played us all. And the board went right along with it because the back to back HOF coachs made it seem so easy a caveman could do it. There's a difference between confidence and arrogance. Confidence is a bullfighter going in the ring with steak sauce on his sword. Arrogance is thinking the kids athletic abilities carried the coaches. Then blaming a drop in talent for the losing seasons. One was overheard saying the coaches are too smart for the kids. And they can't learn the new system.

That would never be his intention. Cares too much about what was built here. I'd hate to try to speak for a legend. But I can assure you it is all explained in detail. Anyone interested in reading the story can send me a PM and I'll personally buy you copy of the book and hand deliver it on Christmas morning. What a gift it would be to know the truth.

WOS isn't the place for on the job training. If that was the plan then start out at West Hardin, West Sabine, or West Brook. Get some Ws under your belt before stepping into greatness. It is mine and many others belief that WOS would've been back to Region Finals if the system wasn't dismantled by the inexperience of those holding the wheel. We can point to prime examples that prove this all day long. Some here not connected to the program have already done so for us. I appreciate the honesty of those that watch us without the blue tinted glasses. I'd love for the board and super to see things the way the community does. But they're vision is more like Ray Charles. Becoming infamous for same reasons as Ray J. And have no idea who Ray Lewis is. BTW one of them was heard at the HF game saying Dan Ray was a cheater his whole career. She got jokes like Ray Ramano and could easily be thrown under the bus like Ray Steven's Gmaw

Fast teams dont always win ball games. You have to stay discipline and play gap football. If Silsbee can pass the ball and stop the run id think we have a shot. There big qb is not mobile so he is no threat to run like hitchcock Qb earlier in the season. We need the kids to be prepared and some luck.
