Not in the slightest. The teams we’re losing to are teams we used to beat the last 10+ years before the coaching change. I feel confident after watching all the teams in the region saying Prieto or Riordan would’ve had this Crosby team in the regional final this week. Prime example is y’all just beating A&M Consol. in the regional semis to make it to the 4th round. Three years ago Crosby dropped 53 on them in the 3rd round to advance in the D2 playoffs. Same schools, we just all moved up a class. Angleton scored 13 points on Crosby this year and only got the second TD because of the long kick return to open the 3rd quarter. Crosby scored 0 offensive points that game. The last time prior to Crosby playing Angleton this season we shut them out 34-0, it was 38-15 Crosby the year prior. We’re just incompetent on offense under Willis which is why Coach Prieto could go to Dayton and beat us with less than half the talent. We hadn’t lost to Dayton is 12 years. It’s ALL coaching.

One other note we lost 3 games this year to teams in 5A D2 so no classification is not the issue.

I'm taking LP by 21. I think Angleton runs into the other side of the coin this time but that offense from LP looks darn near unstoppable think they play Aledo. That being said Angleton has turned it on since the Crosby game.

TBF 3 years ago we were the literal smallest school in 5AD1 population needs time to adjust. I just think we would have been a lot closer to Angleton this year if we had either of the last two coaching staffs. That being said we weren't going to compete with LP this year this might be yalls year.

LP will be graduating quite a bit. Including a lot of the OL. The real stars of LP aren’t just the RB’s. To me, it’s the OL. They’re just road grading folks. Only thing missing is the paint stripes. He’ll have a little tougher road, and have to use his personal talent more, without this year’s OL. Still, he’s the best I’ve seen in decades, and I’ve seen a lot of football. I noticed last night on LSU recruiting pages, they’ve taken notice already also. No offer yet though that I’m aware of… Also, don’t want to forget about Barnes. He has over 1500 yards & over 20 TD’s as well. Hopefully, he’s getting some looks. From what I understand, he’s been a great team leader. Sometimes, that’s the best thing about having a highly recruited prospect. Others—even opponent players—get more looks because of the interest. Hopefully, they can continue on where young men in this class can get even more notice. After these last 2 years, and what they’ve gone through, they’ve earned the looks. They’re gonna need to play their best game though. LP is 0-4 in State Quarterfinal games, and Angleton is a solid club. They need to get over this hump.

I never miss a game if I can help it. I missed one this year because we went to see the Longhorns beat the Gators. That's the only game I've missed in person in 5 years, maybe more.

Finally, after graduating 14 years ago and PNG never playing in this direction, SFA is only 45 minutes from me... I will be there. Finally get to show my wife what PNG playoff atmosphere is about!

There is nothing like being at a Playoff Game in-person. The Weather, The Crowd, The Stadium Atmosphere. I will be exhausted driving up to Nacogdoches after work & having to drive back to be available for a church program on Saturday, but you can bet your booty I will be glad for the in-person experience of PNG Indian Football. This is season number 59 of PNG Football for me!!!

The ability to watch on TV and youtube kind of killed that for the most part. We still have giant crowds, Last weeks total was about 10K according to the news article from Natchitoches. PNG filled up both lower parts of their side and every suite available was completely packed and sold out. Nothing to sneeze at for sure. I believe it was 5400PNG to 2900 Texas City for attendance if I'm remembering correctly. Not bad for a near 3 hour drive.

I think those Neches River boys are still hungry. That game last Friday blew my mind. This MORON thought that PNG's season was over. But, the defense was in attack mode in the 2nd half and I knew that if PNG could run they would win. I honestly thought PNG would play catchup the entire game. The Damage, Inc. Defense + Clock Mgmt + Hunger is Dangerously effective. I'll take PNG -6.5. Calpreps has SOC by 14. That's better than last year. Stay hungry boys!

Silsbee QB Mikey Moshier ended as the all time passing yards leader at Silsbee. Finished his career with 5,535 yards. Breaks the career record of Mason Brisbane's 4902 career passing yards. He failed to break Brisbane's career passing TD's of 64. Moshier finished with 59 career passing TD's.
