  1. I think it's mostly been about the competition. It's been pretty tough. Playing top 15 5A 75% of the season so far is pretty hard to gauge how good or bad 4A team you are.

    PNG vs SOC

I am sending prayers out for every fan, stadium worker, team member, band, drill team & cheerleader, as well as any other students, adults, or workers that I did not mention. God watch over the Indians & Bears so there are no injuries & everyone travels safely. AMEN!!!

    PNG vs SOC

They sure are!! And as much as I want PNG to win tonite.that sour taste in SOC mouth from last year has them on another level for this one game.so, if PNG can't run the ball tonite.i can't see them winning this one.

I can understand that. I am not against the death penalty but I am also not against life without parole.

  10. I feel like Woodville matches up okay with them, but I'm having a lot of trouble reconciling the fact that Daingerfield just dropped 60 on a newton team that beat woodville by 3 scores. Daingerfield started the season off rough, but they're on a different level since about week 7.

  11. I guess…..I look at it more like “there is actual jurors that want to convict a man who protected others from a violent man with a known history” Another reason why I don’t understand why anyone with any sense would live in a liberal city/county.

    La Porte vs Angleton

Some information about attending the game: Angleton will be the home team so will be on the west side of NRG. Parking will be $22 + tax (about $23.81?) Presale tickets are $15 plus an added fee) Tickets bought at the gate will be $20 (no fee). Go wildcats!

  14. Onalaska at Brookeland will likely be around 7-7:30. JV tourney last game is set for 6, so could be around then. Excited for my first trip to Brookeland and seeing their great team/coaches. Should be a fun game.

    PNG vs SOC

Wow that m instead of n makes a significant difference. Sorry I missed that. My mom and Dad had season tickets for about 30 years she told me a couple of weeks ago (she's 91and he would've been 95) one time they were discussing who would get what if they ever divorced and she told him she would get the PNG tickets and he said, oh no I'm gonna get those. They stuck it out for 66+ years.

  16. So is their any help from the football team I do understand that this is fairly a young team and they are playing a Strong Schedule but I guess we are used to Silsbee winning some of these games not getting blown out lol this they are playing hard and the Stiff competition will help them towards the 4a playoff run.

  24. Well according to some DF folks they seem to think it'll just be another stop during the B2A tour. They've been strangling eagles left and right and it ain't gone stop no time soon. I hope that's not the case. We'll see what my eagles got to say about that tomorrow 🦅

Just think if he followed ‘Big Mo’ Maurice Morris (LP alum from 2013) and went to the Naval Academy. Talk about an education, and his talent in that offense. Wow! Incidentally, I think Mo is working in Pearland now. He served for 9 years, and I saw somewhere where he was like a Project Manager for a lighting technology firm in Pearland area. As a Navy vet, wouldn’t bother me a bit either. LP’s actually had a few go to the Service Academies. Kendzior (DE that terrorized NS & PAM & others a few years back) went to the Air Force Academy.

No talk about PNG side selling out? I’m surprised they didn’t sell out last week’s game but I thought more would be coming to this round especially with it being SOC

I don’t benefit from it, that’s not my area. But the average cost to imprison someone is around $15k per year (on average in the US) and capital cases cost somewhere between $1.5-$3M with over half being overturned or reduced to life in prison anyway. These numbers may be inflated since the last report I read but I’m sure it would be on both sides and higher on the DP side if anything. So what’s the point? We feel better because we got to return the favor on someone (hopefully) who committed a heinous crime? And I don’t know I can say we have “complicated” it. Which appeal should we cut out? Our justice system has a pecking order and we have higher courts for a reason. When we are about to impose the ultimate judgment, should we cut steps that other cases have to save a buck? Or do we not pay for an indigent person’s experts at the trial court level because it’s too expensive? Or do we just lock them up and throw away the key (unless we later find out they weren’t actually guilty, in which case we have a key and a life we haven’t unjustly ended) and save a ton of money? Seems to me to be an obvious solution but I’m more of a pragmatist.

Injecting a man with life ending drugs while he’s strapped to a gurney isn’t self defense. It’s murder. State sanctioning doesn’t change that fact in God’s eyes, IMO. Jesus also said to let “he who is without sin cast the first stone.” My point is that two wrong don’t make a right. Capital punishment might appeal to the public’s thirst for blood, but that doesn’t make it right.

Are you now wanting the Holy Bible to set our laws? I believe that most people believe that the correct translation should be….. Thou shall not murder In any case of your new conversion…. Genesis 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. I don’t think unborn children have shed a man’s blood. I am also assuming by your response that self-defense is a sin. Good to know.
