  1. I appreciate that. It was hard growing up with 2 Marine parents. You can damn well bet my bed was made every morning! Lol.

  2. If anyone of those injuries was sustained in the private sector, the affected employee could sue the pants off their employer and end up with a huge settlement and/or continued payments. Usually not so with a member of the military. And what is the deal with PTSD? Do you not think it can be debilitating? I'm only guessing you never killed people or got shot at for a living... I can remember my Mom (a former Woman Marine) telling me stories of my Dad (Sgt. Major, USMC who retired after 30 years of service) returning from combat. After a couple purple hearts, a couple bronze stars with combat V for Valor and a host of other commendations during 2 tours in Viet Nam, after losing several very close friends in combat (some in front of his own eyes), after having to write letters to kid's parents letting them know their sons were heroes but weren't coming home, after being spit on and cursed at the airport when he returned home as "thanks" for his service, I can only imagine the stories she told me of how he was affected were only a scratch on the surface. Luckily, he was able to persevere and didn't retire from the USMC until the mid 80's. Not all guys were as tough (on the surface) as my Dad. I could never imagine him showing weakness at all. But to hear her tell me stories of him waking up in a cold sweat, sometimes wetting the bed or crying out in the night or launching himself to the floor when he heard a plane flying overhead even months after returning home made me a believer of how tragic that experience could be. He passed away from non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (cancer/leukemia) attributed to the Agent Orange (kinda like round up on steroids) he would march through, sleep in, be covered in during his time in the field. They were kind enough to provide him a flag, a gun salute and inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery. Though never on disability, he did have full retirement for the rest of his life, though cut short. I think he earned it.

  3. Agreed… also I’d be willing to bet that their isn’t a team in 3A D1 or D2 that’s beating Anna or Celina… for what it’s worth

  4. You added context to this subject and I appreciate that. Appreciate your Fathers service, and it was shameful how the were treated after the war. Those men were stronger and tougher than we have now.

  5. I would love my lump sum in one payment that I have paid over the years. I don't even need the interest it earned. I also think unemployment should be limited to 4 months.

  6. It’s my understanding that the charges were actually brought by Alvin “the devil” Bragg. I heard today that Pam Bondi will/might use the Civil Rights section of the DOJ to launch an investigation into the devil Bragg! I say, go for it! It’s time to start holding evil accountable!

  11. I mentioned in another place that Angleton has that ‘IT’ right now. Couldn’t really define. But—after thinking about it—I guess it could best be described as belief they can come back from just about anything…confidence…winning attitude. The last few weeks of close PO wins have really cemented their never give up attitude. They have the talent. They have good coaching. I believe they’re fairly healthy. Calpreps has them as 4 point underdog. But, they’ve been underdog this whole PO season. Something tells me this is their year to make it to Jerryworld. I just think they’re finding ways to win. Keep repping 11-5A1. Cats by 3 late.

  12. I paid for my social security and medicare, so it's owed to me, not an entitlement. That you lump medicaid in with it shows your ignorance about what is an entitlement and what is owed to citizens because it was paid for by them. As far as defense spending, it's allowed in the Constitution, but there is a lot of waste. That will soon be addressed by Musk and Ramaswamy, you may know them as Trump's team.

  16. East chambers did a Great job exposing some weaknesses we hadn’t seen yet this year. I predict this rematch takes place in 2nd round of the playoffs.

  18. TH is a good well coached team who has experience playing at this time of year. Lot of their guys are some of the same guys from last year's team that challenged Gunter at the state game. This is a different type team then what we've seen so far. Much more talented then Arp, more experienced than GS or De Kalb, and more disciplined than DF. I think we're the better team and we should come up with a win but I don't think it's gone be no cruising.

    Woodville vs Tidehaven

If Woodville remains focused and play lights out like they've been doing in every game of the playoffs, they should cruise to Arlington, but if IF's were a 5th, we'd all be drunk! Give me WOOD 35-21 🦅

  21. I looked it up in disbelief. If you are on 100% disability from military, there is no restriction on other income, including a full time job.

  25. U bet bud! They should’ve took the L that was handed to them and congratulated PNG on a great season….

  26. So, you admit that’s what SOC should have done last year? And they should universally apologize for trying to delegitimize PNG’s perfectly fair and inspiring win against a team that held all the cards and had every advantage, instead of hurling baseless and stupid accusations of cheating?

  29. This hillbilly league is so confusing. We were told for a decade we had no chance to compete in this league. And that it would be a big adjustment to play in the mighty SEC. Good thing it took us zero years to adjust. First year, conference championship game. 13 years, little brother best finish is tied for 3rd in their division. There’s a reason OU is THE rivalry. It’s actually competitive.

  32. I get the Arch talk, but it’s tough for me to imagine him stepping into the starting lineup at this point in the year and not having some real issues. That said, ewers hasn’t been right since he got hurt. Some great plays and some really bad ones
